I really wanted to like this place, it's close and convenient and near a wonderful bagel shop (Townies)....but the front desk girl was so rude. I'm new to town and looking for my new collective. There was No desire to offer a welcome feeling for a potential new regular client. I had to ask the front desk girl if she was angry at me for asking a few questions about how their medical patients are defined and introduced myself. Sadly, this place doesn't seem to want new clients, general vibe not very light or pleasing. I did walk through and considered shopping for some different products, but the guys in the shop didn't have anything I was looking for and didn't offer anything in the way or customer service. I was sold two defective pens, which I didn't realize until I left the Palm Springs area and had taken the pens out of their box. Manager informed me that nothing could be done, considering it was a cash transaction and I couldn't mail back the items for a refund. Incredibly disappointing, considering the pens were over $100. Where to start. Hmmm. Well, the alarming fluorescent overhead lighting, garish art, out-of-the-can bright green interior paintjob, and mod-kitch Tony Montana 'Scarface' black pleather furniture was a little hard to swallow in the reception area, but we didn't come for rest and relaxation. After quickly filling out and signing requisite collective membership paperwork, we entered the dispensary part of the shop, followed by a quick rat-at-tat-tat overview listing of the most popular green goods on hand provided by our budtender. Seemed like a neat broad selection at first, but they had lots of what seemed like the same thing dressed in different flavors and potency levels (they seem to only carry high potency product, which is not good for everyone). The prices were not so great. Individual joints ranged from $15-30+, which is high (yes, pun intended). They didn't have some basic stuff, like low-dosage mints or candies. We were told (and were sold) that hemp papers were "the best," even though they sucked and stuck to lips and stopped the burn on our joints. Anyhow, I know that they do have legit offerings, but I'm not buying the high-star reviews of this place on weedmaps and other sites. There's a reason there are so few reviews here on Yelp. Look, the PSA team are fine folk, but for me, it is just that the place ain't what it is purported to be. Search for better and cheaper. It is certainly available in the High and Low Desert areas. Love the fact that we have a dispensary in ps, but the tag line of the company is the exact opposite service I get, every time. Today was the last time. I came in with a friend, I was never asked anything except by the security guard. He was also the ONLY one willing to help me. I asked for assistance from the staff and was curt remark that we're working. The worker to customers ratio was four to two by the way. From there the gentleman from the counter began to unload verbal diarrhea on me, about the new laws and how one person can be on a ticket at a time with blah blah blah, he was trying to lawyer me up and use jargon to stop me. It worked because when I saw his bluff I smiled, because I knew why I was never coming back. It's so bad there that the security even commented to me about how poor of service they give. "It was too early." Unacceptable when people need or want their plant medicine, and no lack of empathy for the customer. Mixed reviews. Here's my experience. Bud tender wasn't very helpful and I ended up with a bad vape cartridge that didn't draw and when I tried to remove it the whole thing fell apart. Ended up with a sticky mess. I'm new to the area and asked the bud tender about medical and they don't do medical, which is fine, but she made it sound like there was no savings with medical anyway.
