Our street blew a transmission this afternoon from 40 mph gusts. PSEG was alerted and had a crew out in 30 mins. Our street was closed by state police for the line down. Worry free contract I paid for a stove for years and when the burners broke it wasn't covered for anything 1 paid for my furnace, when it broke in the dead of winter , 14 degree temperatures, they didn't cover anything nor do they do any repairs. As of 2021 PSEG had not been reading meters in certain apartment complexes. I personally spoke with a manager with the initials D.M.-he advised that bills are being "estimated" . I am barely home and every bill is advising there has been an increase in energy usage. This company has no integrity, I mean it is a monopoly so I doubt they would care about ripping off one person but it is not me alone. Many residents in my apartment complex and in NJ are flabbergasted. If you do have the option to use a different energy/ electric company please save yourself the worry and DO NOT USE/ REGISTER with PSEG. read more

WORRY FREE is a fake. They will check and tell you you have a problem, but you must pay to fix it. I had a PSE&G contract on my water heater for years, when it failed they told me to pay full cost and fix it. What a waste this worry free contract is. read more

On 3/15/18 a large truck ripped down our electric and cable lines feeding our house.We were out of town and very vulnerable in light of the cold weather. Police turned in a call to PSE&G .We were so impressed that a person came on Friday and reinstalled our complete outside elect. In a safe,serviceable fashion ,thereby giving us back our service in less than 24 hours.We realize we will have to do more permanent type repairs in the short term. We were so pleasantly surprised and amazed that with all they have going on,they were able to turn us around in record time! Thank you to all the hard working PSE&G people. Horrible service. If I had other options, I would take them. They sent my final bill to collections without any form of contact. I sent in final payment and their online system showed it as paid. But when I called after receiving the collection notice, they said payment was returned with no known reason. They had my contact information but never tried to get in touch with me. They just sent it to collections. This is just bad business. read more
