It's been said failed doctors become psychiatrists and this could not be more true for Dr. Amanda Morgan at Psychological Associates. I personally describe her as a professional who exposes the cruel paradox of carelessly over-treating the worried well, while shamefully neglecting the really sick. My son had worked with three different doctors at this practice. The first was replaced after the doctor broke privacy and spoke with me about a topic my son wished to keep private. It wasn't a safety issue but just an observation of his mom. We then saw Dr. Morgan who after many sessions would fail my son and family for life. At "each" visit she would open her door a few minutes before the appointment time and say "I'll be with you shortly" only to return 15-20 minutes after the appointment time. My son was seeing her for anxiety, and she knew this. I spoke with her about the constant tardiness and said it was making it rougher on him waiting. Finally, after many appointments and the wait times getting worse, he told her exactly what he felt. He did this in front of the office staff, and they all had smiles and agreed it was all true for this doctor. My son committed suicide on July 10 and in his final words (note) to us he specifically said if it were not for a failed psychology system and "Dr. Amanda Morgan" he may not have done this. Please look elsewhere before seeing her as I personally believe she should not be a licensed professional. read more

Dr. Sherri Bell was a fantastic therapist that helped me through a tough time in my life and guided me to make great decisions for myself. Unfortunately, that is the only good matter I can say about my entire experience with this clinic. I managed to go through the whole pandemic without seeing Sherri, but when I decided that I needed her help again I decided to reschedule. I got my appointment scheduled a week after my call and I was greatly relived. I get a call two days before the appointment saying they are canceling my appointment because it has been so long since I have been, that I am now identified as a "new patient" all over again. They then reschedule me over a month and a half from then. It was tough to wait it out, but I wanted to see her again. I get a call a week before my appointment to tell me that Sherri can see me because she had surgery to go to instead. This has been some of the most difficult times in my life and all I keep getting from this clinic is a reschedule nearly right before I can see my therapist again. I need help and this place has utterly and painfully let me down. I am completely disappointed when I say no matter how good Sherri was to me, I will not be coming back here. I'm shocked at how this company treats patients, as well as how error-prone the write-ups can be. So much to say but here's a little: The psych eval for my son with a severe anxiety disorder had errors that make me feel like I should get it redone elsewhere. The evaluation said that he (my son) has gone to a residential treatment facility in the past (for his anxiety disorder). False. It says he takes prescribed medicine - False. He's never taken medicine a day in his life, nor has he been prescribed. It mentioned "assumptions" as well - such as "mom projected son negatively"....yikes. I didn't feel I was negative about him, just honest - but I had to explain this to my 17 year old son who wanted to read the eval about him. The eval also said patient seemed to 'intentionally' pause and "purposely" stop responding in answering questions. He's slow at everything! It's not intentional malice. He was quite offended by that. He told me that he was scared to be "wrong", because he knew he was being evaluated on his answers - he was very careful to think of the questions (obsessively, no doubt). Biggest issue we had? the receptionist. ***Margot the receptionist is EXTREMELY rude and degrading to KIDS even! mainly for being slow to answer questions. She was also rude to us parents - very snappy and had a "you're wasting my time" attitude. We usually love our healthcare providers! But I'm shocked Margot still works there. She should consider being a bail bondsman or maybe a bouncer at a bar. I could write a lot more about things she said and what she did but this would get LONG. read more

I have been seeing Dr Dillion for about 4 years. He is very professional and one of the best doctors I've ever been to. Once you get to know him you will see he has a great personality and will do what ever it takes to help. I recommend him and I'm happy to have found him. read more

I attempted to see a doctor at this clinic for severe social anxiety issues. It was very very difficult to even get in touch with someone at this clinic. They then emailed me new patient paperwork that I had to fill out and get back to them. I attempted to reach them several times to schedule an appointment. They called me once and I missed the call due to my ringer on my phone being off because my work requires it. I emailed the correspondent Amanda, that I had already spoken and was very short and rude, to to let her know that it would be easier to make phone contact with my husband. After waiting a week after I had returned my new patient paperwork, Amanda contacted my husband, which I had informed her was the best way to reach me many times through email. She first griped about me not answering my phone which I had already told her through email to call my husband's phone due to mine being off for work most of the time, and informed him that I could not be seen by a psychiatrist or psychologist in their clinic because I am on an opiate replacement therapy from another doctor. He said that she had a very snotty tone which I noticed the one and only time I spoke with her. First, the really need a more compassionate new patient coordinator because she will cause people to not want to call back.. Second, I was previously addicted to several other types of street drugs and opiates and have been on suboxone therapy for 2 years. I have not touched a street drug in 2 years and I have began to ween off the suboxone. I think its ridiculous that I cannot get mental therapy due to recovering from addiction. That is just crazy. I am reaching out for help and I am being denied help. I have very good blue cross and blue shield insurance, so that was definitely not the issue. They call themselves mental therapists yet deny help to people that need it. I would love zero stars if that was possible read more

She oversaw my psychological testing and wrote report. Met with her about 5 times. She answered my questions well and it was easy to schedule an extra appointment 'feedback session' to get more information and ask more questions. My impression was that she was kind and she didn't have a condescending attitude. Overall she was easy to talk to and I felt comfortable. read more

Office staff is INCREDIBLY rude. A couple of the employees are nice, but it does not make up for the awful attitude of the office manager. Dr. Dillon is, for lack of a better word, a complete asshole. I've been seeing this guy for probably seven years now and every time I see him he tells me I'm obese-- and this is since I was about twelve years old. If you have the means to go literally anywhere else in a 100 mile radius, do yourself a favor and skip this place. read more

Stay away from this place. I had an appointment today that I set earlier this week because I really needed to see my mental health counselor due to having issues surface. I go to check in and let them know I'm here for an appointment and all the lady said was I owe a cancellation fee from late January that I was unaware of. Mind you I had an appointment in February nothing was said when I set an appointment to be conducted virtually. I was not informed this week at the beginning of the week when I set the appointment for today in person. I showed up and all I was told was I owe money. I wouldn't have minded paying on the spot or over the phone if something was said ahead of time. Even though I cancelled due to dealing with some medical issues and forgot. The kicker is I was approved for 44 visits originally by TriCare. I still had around 40 visits left they could've been paid for. Instead they just lost me as a patient completely. I really needed to see someone instead the lady at the front desk made things worse for me and caused me to get extremely angry due to the fact it wasn't very welcoming and threw my mindset into a tail spin. I don't even like talking to anyone about what I deal with internally I was actually going to open up more on this appointment in hopes it would help me, instead I will continue to bottle up what's going on and just deal with it. read more

Due to the unethical collection of money by Psychological Associates we will no longer acquire services. On 01/25/2017 my son had an appointment with Dr. Doenlen, but due to an insurance issue "insurance wanted to know if we had a secondary insurance for my son." we could not be seen unless we paid $375.00. It took three months to get this appointment. Time off of work. I wasn't prepared to pay this amount. I have insurance. I was prepared to make my co-payment like I have for the past six months. I took care of the insurance survey prior to this appointment. Insurance requires this yearly. I would think the office staff would know this about insurance. Insurance had denied claim from 1/6/17 due to the survey not being done. I took care of survey prior to appointment time. The business manager said we would have to pay for the past visit and today visit in full total of $375.00. I called and told the business manager the insurance issue was taken care of. It's Psychological Associates policy if there are any issues with insurance, visit's would have to be paid in full, even if the insurance issues are resolved. Insurance company called Psychological Associates and told them the claim would be paid in 7 -14 days. Insurance company also called Psychological Associates office staff to help resolve today visit as well. Insurance also told Psychological Associates there wouldn't be a problem for today's visit since the survey was completed. Insurance said it doesn't make sense to pay in full, because Psychological Associates would have reimburse money. I don't want to fight to get my reimbursement. Due to Psychological Associates greedy tactics of wanting all money up front for today's visit, we will no longer acquiring their services. Sharon Bell is a great therapist, but I am afraid of another situation will arise in their business office. They do not work well with your insurance company. read more

Our 14 year old daughter started seeing Paige Stephenson mid 2015 due to alienation by the mother to the father. Despite having a 50-50 custody arrangement with the courts, father had not spent one day with his daughter in over two years. Paige Stephenson seem to think this was a normal maternal act and encouraged and supported the mother not bringing the child over to the father on visitation week or days. After spending 1.5 years of appointments with Stephenson, her solution to reacclimate deleted daughter with the father was to go from a two hour "fun time", which routinely was sabotaged by the mother removing the daughter whenever the daughter wanted to leave all the way down to only having an "ice cream social" but only after a counseling session. This was her solution to fix the alienation. Despite telling the father the courts would be the only venue that would be able to properly enforce visitation, when confronted with this in front of her father, T. Rick Spencer who works at the same office, she lied about this because that would impact future counseling sessions. She has no interest in what is best for the child, and has a history of prolonging issues to create future counseling sessions which ultimately prove to be worst than the last one. After suggesting the ice cream social as the only venue to "reconnect" between the father and daughter she was terminated due to the ludicrously of the suggestion, as well as the support of alienation from the mother to the father - daughter relationship and the progressively declining relationship despite numerous counseling sessions with Stephenson. There are serious ethical concerns having the daughter work for the father at psychological associates when Stephenson tells a father one thing and then denies it to her father and a joint session. Based on the fact that Stephenson had routinely supported the utter alienation (zero communications and interaction whatsoever for two years) by the mother to the father - daughter relationship, she obviously does not have any child's best interest in mind; and is only focused on repeat counseling sessions.
