My aunt was in the waiting room at the time. After all that, he started to have a literal tantrum because Auntie Joyce (mother) was the one listed as the one paying money and he wanted to talk to her. When we started to call her, he said, "Never mind." BUT THEN HE CALLED HER WHEN WE LITTERALY LEFT THE BUILDING. Also my appointment was 8 o'clock. Didn't start the test until 9:30, then was forced to have a hour break for lunch at noon. I stopped at 8:30. I was told it would only take 3-4 hours. read more

After waiting with no phone calls returned I finally got in with my primary care for a referral to the clinic. It took nearly a month for a call back with an appointment dated today- this is in a span over 3 months. I received a call Friday confirming today's appointment and then a call this morning that Dr perry- without ever speaking to me or having me in office would not be able to provide mental health services. I have already visited the emergency room with a mental health emergency this month and told to follow up with a psychiatrist- which I assumed these licensed members were more than capable to. I showed up for my appointment and was given a sealed letter, which nobody at the front desk could look into a specific reason or explanation, nor did they care to. This is why mental health patients stop reaching out to professionals. This place is an embarrassment to mental health recipients and I will be going up the chain of command read more

I've read the reviews here and I'm sorry to hear of the perception of the Anchor Clinic. I have nothing but wonderful things to say. Dr. Jagar, Mary, Michelle, and Leah have taken such good care of me in the past 2 1/2 years! I've always been treated with respect and dignity, by all of these people. I have to believe, though, for myself that I strive to be a good patient. I never have missed or been late for an appointment. I treat everyone there with the respect they deserve. The office is pleasant to visit. While there are times I'd like to get through by phone faster, they do have a small staff and are face to face with patients all day. They are busy behind the scenes with tasks that need to be done for their patients. They have never failed to reach back out to me after receiving a voicemail. I feel we have to respect the work they do there. I recommend Anchor Clinic to any one who is serious about their mental health condition and willing to cooperate with the protocol. It's for the good of everyone. I've been treated there for almost 3 years and Dr. Jagar has made it possible for me to maintain an evenness to my mental condition and is acutely perceptive and kind. He has a specialty in pharmaceuticals and really knows what he is doing. He also shows an interest in my lifestyle and provides good ideas for activities that would connect me to the community at large. Called and left at least 4 voicemails, have used on-line contact form, my Doctors have re-faxed referals repeatedly...yet NOTHING. The care our son received from Katy Perry (APRN psychiatrist) was great in that she helped us discover a medication that does help him. THEN we tried TMS and that is when the Clinic's TRUE colors bled through. We were very excited to get started with the therapy. I made our son read the entire packet of paperwork regarding the therapy process - including the part about side effects. The process involves visiting as often as possible for 36 days but they told us the official data say you can't miss more than 13 days between therapy visits. Day one of therapy wasn't bad while he was in the chair, but about 2.5 hours after, his misophonia and OCD symptoms began to flare. It was so bad that he wasn't able to make it into the office the following day for his next TMS treatment or his follow up with Katy Perry. The next week he missed a few other appointments for the same reasons. Then, in week three another lady called to say they were going to terminate him as a patient for non-compliance specifically related to the missed TMS appointments. First of all, their paperwork doesn't warn that this therapy can cause flares of other symptoms. Secondly, he was never non-compliant, as he never went more than 13 days between visits. I mean, what psychiatrist would have ANY idea that mental health patients might have some difficulties that require a little extra effort? The clinic tells you one thing to lure you in to the therapy and then treats their customers like dirt once you're there. The kicker is that they won't let him go back to so see the his nurse practitioner. Had they WARNED us that if TMS didn't go well he would be booted from ALL care, we would have just skipped ever trying TMS. Communication by this group leaves much to be desired and there numerous instances of communication failures by various staff members, and the clinic as a whole. I pulled up the physician's oath that they give psychiatrists just to see what their requirements are. Numerous violations by this clinic. This, along with all their other bad reviews leads me to believe they only really care about making $$$; and if the patient has any difficulties or challenges that effect treatment, they cut them loose because those patients just aren't worth it. The clinic's practices in this regard appear highly unethical. This tells me the doctors there don't really care about their oath. And why would you want to enter into any contractural agreement with people who have clearly established a pattern of behavior which indicates a willingness to disregard their oath and obligations anytime doing so appears to be in their best financial interest? read more

For a clinic whose goal is to help patients who are already on edge, having an unaccommodating and unhelpful staff is unacceptable. Called and canceled an appointment on a day their system was down- a full 24 hours before the appointment. Then recieved a $110 bill labeled no-show barely a week later that stated it had been out 30 days already. Called to clarify and was lied to that it was from an appointment last year, never answered another call. Had to go into the office and make their lazy billing department fix it- they were going to let it go to collections and not call me back. Incredibly rude staff, and to be dealing with mental health patients this way is absolutely astonishing. Anchor Clinic has been a stellar facility when it comes to providing care for my daughter, but, unfortunatley the receptionsist and new patient process for my son was unprofessional and rude. When trying to establish care for my son (who is 19 and needs help) I asked if I may make his appointments for him initially, I was flatly told no! Then when I pressed and found out I could sign a release, he was declined and his referral sent back without my knowledge-extremely unprofessional!!! Dr. groom has helped with adjustment, coping skills and personal family issues. I have never had a recording and have been answered promptly and efficiently. I was a LPC, Licensed Personal Counselor Practitioner in the state of Illinois. I continue to use Dr. Groom as a resource. read more

At first really liked this place. Eric seemed tuned into what my child needed. Then on like my 5th visit Erick seemed to be catatonic. I don't think he spoke more than 5 words the entire visit. I never understood why. The next time he was semi normal again. Then Covid hit and we reached out to him via email and he just never would reply. I can't speak for the doctors at the office because, after a month of trying to set up an appointment with a specific therapist, I finally found out she is no longer taking patients. I initially left a message asking for an appointment. After not hearing from anyone for a week, I called back. The voicemail box for new patients was full. I left a message on another answering machine. About a week later, I received a call from someone in the office telling me they never received my referral. I immediately called my provider. Apparently no one at Anchor Clinic bothered to check the portal for my referral, so my provider faxed it over. Of course, by the time I called back, no one was there to answer. Left another message to let them know my referral was faxed over. Another two weeks go by without a call. I called again after hours and left yet another message. No call back. Finally, I got a hold of someone at the office. Wow! People actually work here! Crazy! She told me the doctor I was trying to see wasn't accepting new patients. Why I wasn't given this information two weeks ago when I was told my referral supposedly hadn't arrived, I have no idea. Why they would wait an ENTIRE MONTH to tell someone who could be at risk of self harm, who has been in a downward spiral for half a year and finally found the courage to find a new doctor, that she actually has to get a new referral to see any of the other doctors at the office, I have no fucking idea. This is absolutely unacceptable for any healthcare facility. I will not be using any of their services, and I would recommend finding a therapist or psychiatrist elsewhere in the area. read more

This place is so disorganized...the owners claim they care about their patients yet they have 1 medical assistant for four providers. Your dealing with mental health medications and can't get a call back about issues within a reasonable timeframe. There is no manager so there is no accountability for the employees, and they are always understaffed. Any good employees seem to be taken for granted and became burnt out/quit. Owners also take pride in hiring under qualified persons to get away with grossly underpaying them. Don't let the location fool you, the owners are incapable of running their business and don't make any changes regardless if the complaints come from patients, employees or other health facilities. I can't speak for helpfulness of the doctors here, but after dealing with the billing representative, I would never want to use their services nor would I recommend anyone else to use them either... I received a bill from Anchor Clinic LLC for not 1, but 2 missed appointments on the same date. Not only did I personally not make any appointment (referred by Dr. office), I never received any confirmation from the clinic that I had an appointment. Called initially regarding bill and representative (didn't give name) said she would remove the charges and that I have a zero balance. I requested an updated statement verifying this and I was told that she couldn't do and she confirms on her systems that I have a zero balance... A few weeks later, I receive another bill for same amount. I call this past Wednesday and left a message since no one answered the phone. 2 days later, no return call so I call again. I get the same lady (still not giving out name). Informed her that I received another bill but she claims they have no record of a bill in the system. She tells me to disregard. Again, I ask for a receipt or some document confirming this. Again, she refused and basically tells me to take her word for it. She then goes on to tell me that I can no longer schedule an appointment for services in the future. For one thing, I never scheduled anything with them in the first place two, I never mentioned anything about scheduling a future appointment; she just came out of the blue with it. Three, the clinic failed to confirm with me that an appointment was even scheduled. The representative is very rude and condescending and if that is any indication of how the clinic runs, I would stay far far away. read more

Dr. Jagar has been my Psychiatrist since I was 15 (I'm 21 now) and he has helped me tremendously. When I first saw him I had severe depression, and PTSD from substance abuse. To this day I still am an awful insomniac. He has alleviated all these issues by prescribing me medicine he knows will actually benefit me and speaks to me like a friend not a doctor. Not to take away from his professionalism, but he's a very relatable man! I've seen several bad reviews of this Clinic and that's so backwards to me because I only see this place as a 5 star facility. I don't even have insurance covering my visits completely, and I still go every 3 months. Recommend highly for anyone suffering from rough mental health conditions, general anxiety, sleep problems and everything else. There IS a medical professional who is equipped to help you there. Always clean, friendly staff. I would give it 5+ stars if that was an option. read more

DO NOT go to this clinic! Just fair warning. Dr. James Igleberger will talk down to you not to mention never remember who you are. I have also seen him have terrible road rage. I was behind him today going to the clinic. There was a lady with her children pulling out of the clinic parking lot. There is a stop sign there, but usually you have to stop and inch forward to see around the bushes and trees. I guess he thought this lady had pulled to far forward or something. That's all I can figure out. So instead of having consideration for other traffic and the poor woman in the car, he pull in front of her so she couldn't leave, got out of his car, went over and actually pounded on her window and proceeded to yell and curse at her while her children were in the car. I couldn't hear the whole conversation but I did hear "stop sign" and all of the F-bombs he dropped. Again, he wasn't only accosting her, he was blocking traffic, apparently to release his aggression. After what seemed like forever, he finally got back in his car and pulled into the clinic. As I pulled in behind him, you could see the woman's two young boys crying. I both felt sorry for her and her family, and furious at Dr. James Igleberger. If this is how he treats people on the outside, how is he going to treat you on the inside. Pathetic and a disgrace to psychiatry. What kind of human being acts like this? It was like watching a spoiled 5 year old throw a tantrum. I'm sorry for what happened to that lady, but I feel like I dodged a bullet by seeing his true nature. Be careful how you act in public. I have never dealt with a more patient devalued Dr's office (The Navarre office) When I called to complain to the owner/doctor in the Pensacola office (Dr Kevin Groon) , instead of the Dr contacting me to discuss it, he spoke to the Navarre Manager and was lied to about the incident. I believe the Navarre manager felt the need to do this to deflect from her inability to attend to patient needs. Obviously the Dr isn't interested in the patients experience and truth otherwise he would have spoken to me. If you are looking for a Dr's office to attend to your medical needs the Anchor Clinic will not see value in you as a patient. This is my experience and my opinion. read more

A more inept staff I don't think I have ever met! We went to get a script wrote and filled..pharmacy had not contacted me so I called to check the status, ( was charged for the phone call!) Finally, script was submitted after lying to me about it. Only to have the pharmacy mail them to me as unfillable..We will never go back. I contacted their billing department over the phone charges..the only ones that can remove them is Anchor..who will charge for calling! I will circle file them like they have done to us. read more
