Do not start seeing these people... this company is very fishy... borderline scammy. Their policies lack compassion, hardly any employees here speak English. You call in because you have questions or are having a problem, they are not competent or knowledgeable, the language barrier makes it 20x more stressful and difficult. If you are seeking these services it means you're already having struggles of some kind and this company NEVER takes those challenges into account. They are going bankrupt, have lawsuits against them. And if that's not enough I'll explain my personal experience with them as well, I have severe PTSD, anxiety, and major depressive disorder. I have to be medicated to be able to function with daily life. This company called me and left me a message, it was someone who spoke extremely broken English couldnt even say my name, butchered it so bad I'm like they must have the wrong person because for one, that name doesn't remotely resemble mine, and two I know for a fact my insurance is fully active. Well anyway, turns out they were trying to get ahold of me and they went ahead and cancelled my appointment for absolutely no reason because my insurance has remained active. i called back and explained to them my appointment was extremely important because I am almost out of my medication and will run out in 3 days time. They told me I could pay cash for my appointment (sketchy) I said no, I have tricare prime I shouldn't have to pay a dime. I asked if they could at the very least provide me an emergency refill so I don't go cold turkey off my medication. They refused, so weeks of absolute mental and spiritual torture ensued while I battled with them over insurance for absolutely zero reason because I was in touch with tricare and they said there was zero issues. This place will make you more mentally ill than when you started. Caleb Jordan is terrible. Gave me a diagnosis that he never discussed with me, I found out from looking at my disability paperwork. He also said I was "below average intelligence" but no intelligence tests were ever performed. I asked for BPD to be struck from my record. I have been waiting on medication for 12 days. I have been on the phone with them multiple times a day, every day for the last 10 days. It might be time to give the Texas Medical Board a call. read more

How can a company justify billing $1,000 for a five- to ten-minute phone call? Then these companies act surprised that health-insurance costs are so high in the United States. Charging this much for such limited service feels outrageous and driven by greed. My wife recently spoke with the third nurse practitioner assigned to her, even though she has been a patient with this company for approximately one year. The nurse practitioner apparently had not reviewed her medical history or notes before the call. She initially approved my wife's medication refill but later called back and denied it because my wife had recently received a two-week prescription for pain medication following major knee surgery. My wife is a nurse and understood that the two medications should not be taken together. She completed the prescribed pain medication and then waited another week before requesting her regular medication refill. Had the nurse practitioner reviewed her records and discussed the dates with her before making a decision, this situation could have been properly understood during the original call. Patients should not have to repeatedly explain their complete medical history because providers fail to read information already contained in their files. Now we are being told that the company intends to bill our insurance again for another appointment. This could result in approximately $2,000 being billed to our insurance carrier for two very short calls, while my wife still has not received appropriate continuity of care. This experience helps explain why this company's reviews are so poor. Practices like this should not be allowed in the United States without proper oversight and accountability. The provider gets paid, the insurance company receives another claim, and the consequences are passed directly to the consumer through higher premiums, deductibles, and out-of-pocket expenses. Consumers should not be financially penalized because a medical provider failed to review a patient's records before an appointment. We have requested a complete itemized explanation of these charges, the billing codes used, copies of the relevant clinical notes, and an explanation of why another bill is appropriate when the first provider failed to review the existing medical record adequately. Funny thing is, my medication still wasn't sent out properly and my insurance ultimately denied it. They also took a month to respond to my email, disgusting. Another scam company looking to profit from insurance fraud. You can't make this stuff up. I have a phone call every few weeks for ADHD medication. 25+ years ago, I went to the Dr. once a year. Now it's every 4 weeks. The phone call goes: "Your med's working?" Me: "Yes" "Okay. See you in 4 weeks for another virtual call." Then they bill my insurance $1,007.20 for an office visit and medical services. For a phone call. I doubt anyone would believe me so I attached the claim from my insurance. I like the girl I talk to via PsychPlus and it's not her fault she works for a fraudulent company. The only reason I stay is because I haven't been paying my $80 copay, which I technically don't have to pay for virtual/phone calls but PsychPlus loves to sic their overseas call center agents on you at all hours, begging you for a credit card on file. My provider is lovely; but since going with Psych Plus, it seems that problems have been created. Their receptionists are not easy to work with; I've had scheduling problems and misunderstandings. Their English skills range from good to horrible. Today, the worker tried to double dip money from my insurance company...I think he was trained to do this. I caught on and put a stop to it. I'm a medication refill only patient, not a psychiatric patient, and I guess he thought I was too dumb to see what he tried to do. $1,027 is the price for a televisit...unbelievable for a ho-hum five minute encounter to simply get a medication refill. Again, I really like the doctor, and hope this overreaching Psych Plus thing will turn out well for her. Run....... I've only seen the same doctor once... you get a new doctor every single time. You get diagnosed but no help.... they have no issues letting you go without medication. I had an appointment for a refill. The next day I get call from my pharmacy saying there is an issue with the refill. I call them to try to get the issue resolved. They told me they couldn't contact any doctor to ask them and I would have to make another appointment in order to get the issue fixed. I run out of medication in two days... the next closest appointment is in two weeks. I also got a random call from them wanting me to start a medication that I "qualify" for. Apparently it is so strong I have to be in their office for two hours twice a week for a month then just two hours once a week. No driving after.... that's all I know about it. I had an appointment on September 16, which I attended and paid the required copay for. The next day, I received an email saying the appointment had been canceled--after it had already taken place. Then I was charged $200 for a missed appointment I never missed. I spent over five hours trying to resolve this issue, speaking with five different representatives. The experience was incredibly frustrating and unprofessional. One agent, Adelita, raised her voice and told me this was "not her problem," and claimed management was on vacation. Another said management was in a meeting. A third transferred me to the billing voicemail without saying a word. The lack of consistency, accountability, and basic courtesy made it nearly impossible to get help. I've finally found a provider who is a great fit for me, but the administrative side of Psych Plus is so chaotic and dismissive that it's undermining the quality of care. This billing error has caused financial stress and wasted a significant amount of my time. I wouldn't recommend Psych Plus to anyone who values clear communication or reliable support. I have worked with multiple providers with this company and they are all ALWAYS late to the appointment with no contact. I usually have to call scheduling to make them message the provider to join because they don't attend to the chat. I have had providers be 30 minutes late to an appointment, spend 10 minutes on and then do illegal billing by charging me for the full 40 minutes. I have had providers completely no show. Dealing with an undertrained call center for something so sensitive is a terrible idea. Tried using my company's EAP which offers six free sessions and was confirmed as eligible. Had to wait a month for my first appointment and PsychPlus cancelled the day before because I didn't provide a credit card. Was able to keep the appointment after providing and was charged. My dr has repeatedly not sent rx's we discussed then I am unable to get any medication admins on the phone. If there is an urgent issue it will take 3 business days to hear anything back. I booked an appointment with her for her first available time which was a month plus out. The day of the appointment we did a video call. She gave me her complete spill on how she operates about 5 minutes. Only then to tell me she couldn't be my doctor because she doesn't have availability for new patients. Why was I even allowed to book with her if this is the case? Prior to my appointment I received a call from what I thought was a scammer with a thick accent claiming to need a copay up front. The office staff and the doctor are great. Dealing with the corporate side is a nightmare. There is absolutely no communication, they do not respond to emails or return calls. By their own policy you can not contact your providers office directly. I had to go up to their office in order to get assistance with documentation for work. After giving the office staff my documents for work that needed to be completed I left feeling good. I received a phone call stating that generally it takes 10 business days after I was told they would be completed by EOD. The lady became snooty with me but said she would honor the offices word. The same lady once again just called and told me she forgot to let me know it was $100.00 for them to fill out my form for work. I first came to P+ in January or February, as a result of too many deaths and other personal/family health issues happening in quick succession, that was manifesting in a very destructive way that I was unable to control. I was assigned Nikole Mercaldi and within one minute of walking into her office I knew she was the right fit for me. There was an immediate connection, she made me feel like I was talking to a friend that I could bare my inner most secrets/fears and desires to without judgment. But it was at the third session where her skill as a therapist really showed. I was in a very foul mood, completely out of the norm for me and what drove me to seek help, as I sat down I told her I needed more. Before the words were finished leaving my mouth, she was already getting appts set up, notes sent over and all necessary forms completed, for evaluations and more intensive therapy for that day! I've since returned to her and will continue to see her and if, for any unforeseen reason she is no longer with P+ I will follow her to the next practice. Because your mental health is the key to your physical health. And when you find your "Nikole" don't let them go! Now here's where the "Maybe" part comes in: P+ as a business does NOT have their sh!t together at all! Communication is basically non existent, when you call in to try and leave a message there is a very high probability the massage will NEVER reach the intended recipient. If you schedule an appt through the patient portal you better verify it with a human, because chances are it's either not really available/scheduled/ for a time your therapist doesn't even work or any number of other reasons. And another thing, when you call it's a good chance you won't even be speaking to someone in that office, but someone in the "call center" and don't even get me started on the appt confirmation system which is even MORE of a joke. I initially went here to see if I can get some answers on why my son acts the way he does. He's does ABA therapy speech and OT. All they offered was to put my son on medication to suppress his emotions. I agreed to try this medication out so he can start going back to school, I've called the clinic more than five times to send his prescription to the correct pharmacy before my visit ended with the doctor virtually because my first appointment in person was a mess. Hospitals have been unable to reach them which is causing our child's care to suffer. This is not a review of psych plus but a review of Dr Daniel Patterson he is a good doctor there's no denying that I suffer from treatment resistant depression panic attacks general anxiety nadhd and I also have a drug history just to show that I'm not holding anything back I'm not lying I have no need to lie I asked Dr Patterson to help me get off tramadol which I have been taking for over 5 years because Google said it was good for anxiety and at this point in time I had no insurance so tramadol was what helped me 5 years later Google says the opposite and now I'm hooked on it I asked Dr Patterson for a pill that psych plus provides for opioid withdrawal or for help getting off opioids he didn't even acknowledge my request nor does he care that the ADHD came first before the depression and is a contributor of my depression months and months have gone by and never once did he ever again offer help for the getting off of the tramadol I want to be off of this drug it is more of a problem now than a help and besides I have insurance now which is how I could afford to see Dr Patterson I should have gone to the hospital should have ended up in the hospital because things went wrong while I was trying to get off this drug which I asked for help for and he did not even acknowledge that being said I still think he's a good doctor but either his ego or God knows what wouldn't let him listen to what I was saying about how things work with my body my symptoms it's supposed to be a process between the both of us I sent him emails where he said that I could send him emails and he would read them and never read them I'm pretty sure of and he apparently has too many patients because he's quick to cut me off the moment his next billable session is in my case was rather serious but he's more concerned about his next billable hours then helping me that is my opinion that is what I gathered from his behaviorthis is something I think people should be aware of if they ever deal with him read more
