Last time I visited this bar a couple of years ago, it really wasn't that great and service was mediocre. Since moving back to the QC I decided to stop in and it is SO much better. I've gone a few times now and loved it. It is such great vibes, even when they are super busy they still take care of everyone (Shout out to Athena, Ani and Rylie). Drinks are delicious, service is great and love that every time I go in they are supporting the community (Toys for Tots, Local Dog Shelter, Holiday Hop...etc). They even have random local food trucks on weekends. Definitely worth a stop if in the QC or going to an event at The Mark (Vibrant Arena). read more

This place used to be the best place on the Illinois side of the river. An easy 5 stars. You will notice ALL of the 5 star ratings come from over 2 years ago. It used to be my go to spot in downtown, but after the change of ownership it has gone downhill. Athena is always great and very good at what she does, but the other bartenders who work there could not care less about service and it shows. Went in recently and there were maybe 7 people there. Somehow I went ten mins without getting a drink as talking to friends was more important. It wasn't a one time thing either. Bummer. read more

Stopped by here for a couple of drinks on a rain Saturday afternoon before a wedding. They had a nice selection of beers. I had a local Ale and a High Life (sorry I am from Milwaukee). It was empty but we didn't mind after a 3 hour car ride from Milwaukee. The bartender was nice and told us of all the place to have a drink later if we were up for it after the wedding. Love getting the local scoop on things. It's in a kinda weird spot but we were lucky we found it next to the Stoney Creek Inn. I've been to Pub 1848 twice now and have had positive experiences on both visits. Most recently with a small group right before Christmas. It was crowded but fun. The bartender, whose name eludes me, had a great sense of humor and was really nice. The mixed drinks were good and priced reasonably and there was a wide variety of craft beer available. 1848 is a great bar, well situated in downtown Moline. I'll definitely return and would recommend it to anyone. read more

Rude service! Bartender wouldn't accept my valid ID because it was vertical instead of horizontal... despite the fact that I'm 22 and my ID doesn't expire until 2020. After questioning the bartender on the policy she told me that she would serve me, but still tried telling me my ID wasn't valid. Very unprofessional service. Another male bartender made a rude remark towards me, and after that we walked out and won't be back. I recommend checking out one of the other nearby bars! They're much more fun and have great service! read more

I love this place! It is one of my favorite pubs in the Quad Cities. They've got tasty cocktails, an awesome staff and the great atmosphere is the perfect place to meet friends, always fun and upbeat! Super friendly when they first opened it was an enjoyable place to frequent. I was one of the first to support the place on a regular basis. Wouldn't consider myself a regular anymore. Other places in Moline are friendlier. Now it seems quite the opposite, I think the owner and a few of their bartenders need some time off or better yet find another career altogether outside the HOSPITALITY industry. They tend to act like they are doing the customer a huge favor getting them a drink. I've seen this movie before, bar opens builds up a decent customer base, becomes popular, starts taking customers for granted, business eventually dwindles. Owner has become hubristic, a definite drama queen & the bartenders have become rude, angry and obviously tired of their customers. Not all the same bartenders from when they first opened. I only go if others in my group insist, now going forward I refuse no mas, I will go where my money is appreciated. read more
