We split the pretzel loaf and smoked Mississippi Gold wings. You can get regular wings, but why would you? The smoked ones were amazing. Should've gotten 12 (you can do half smoked, half regular if you're into bad decisions). Could get loud with a big group, but great vibe overall. Checked out this second location of a cool brewery in downtown Rock Island. It's mostly about the beers, but you can order from the food trucks that come to the parking lot. Bent River has a couple locations, with the other one in Moline. Probably the choices are better at that, but this one is better for live music and events. The prices are pretty comparable to other craft breweries it seems. A lot of times it's busy. It's especially busy on weekends and when there's live music. There's a large draft selection. It's about $7 a pint. Pretty good for local beers, so we got a few of these. Best of these last time here was the Q.C Haze, a hazy IPA. It's a strong ABV at 7.1%. There's also a pretty okay food selection. It's about $8 for shareable appetizers. The Chips And Salsa are good with anything to be honest. Great brewery that's also a restaurant where they also cook everything. It has many items as far as beer and food. The food is mostly limited to food trucks, but there's stuff like brisket and pretzels. read more

A group of 11 of us met for dinner and drinks. Our server was amazing...she took all our orders without notes and delivered food and drink seamlessly throughout the night. Lots of beer selections including a few bottled beers for those (like me) that don't do the crafts. Food was very good; lots to choose from. I got the Wednesday night $7 taco special - 4 very flavorful, tasty beef steak tacos; it was very tasty and a great deal. My wife got a grilled pork tenderloin with baked beans as her side - she enjoyed all of it. A couple in our group got Salmon Salads - a nice mix of greens and veggies and a good sized piece of salmon. The sandwiches with the pretzel buns looked delicious and I didn't see one fry left at the table when we were all done. They have a Habenero Ketchup along with the standard fare. Staff was super rude. I misunderstood their tasting prices--because it was poorly explained. When the total came to more than twice what my group understood the price to be I explained we only wanted half of the taster beers since that was the price I was expecting. Great addition to the company, located right off of the Arsenal bridge and this location is a bit bigger which is really nice because the Moline Location tends to get a bit over crowded. Same great brews just a different place, I love to mix mine ( 1/2 uncommon and 1/2 raspberry ) They also have a billiards and great outdoor seating, even a banquet room you can rent for a party or event! read more

I've been to both the Moline and Rock Island locations over the last couple years. I love they're beer, it's absolutely amazing. It has become really hipster. I'm not mad about this turn of events because it makes for great people watching. I'm giving this place 2 stars because the beer was good. But the service was terrible. There were at most 5 people at the bar when I walked in and the bartender wouldn't look my way or acknowledge me for about 8 minutes. Whoever the guy was she was talking to the whole time was obviously more important than the rest of us standing there. She was a squatty looking troll figure and when she finally did take a minute to help she was snarky and acted very put off for me asking what was in the strawberry rhubarb beer. Gee, if you visit a brewery it's standard to ask questions about the brew process. One of the people sitting at the bar told me she was actually the manager and she was just having a bad day. Besides my forgetful experience the beer was ok. They had about 9 different beers on tap that day and the few that I tried were all equally good. We stopped in on a Saturday afternoon for a couple flights. My husband is a huge fan of their jalapeno pepper ale, which is the only Bent River beer we can find in Des Moines. We tried an oatmeal stout, an uncommon stout, a barrel aged Russian stout, a raspberry wheat, a raspberry shandy, the jalapeno pepper ale, a Mississippi Blonde and a hefeweizen. All were delicious. Two flights of four samples of beer were $10, not too pricey. They were giving free tours of the brewery while we were there also, but we didn't partake because we were enjoying the sun on the beautiful spacious patio. I go here once a week on average, sometimes more or less. I love their Uncommon Stout and Sweet Potato Ale the best, but most of their beers are great. This location only serves beer and heats pizzas available for purchase (never had one), but they do welcome you to BYOF. Tbe bar tenders are really friendly and remember my name and what I order. Shuffle board is free, but only one table is available and not completely level. The only other constructive comment is that it is difficult to watch games there as only half of the table can see the limited TVs. Mondays are a great day to go to get growlers filled cheap and have a few 25 oz mugs for only $4.50. read more

By far the best Moline has to.offer! After horrible service down the st, this bar cheered me up with fast, friendly and attentive service! The drinks are reasonable, especially with the diverse menu featuring in house brewed beers. I enjoyed the Uncommon Blueberry stout in a matter of 6 minutes after the bartender changing the keg and attending to a full bar!
