Stopped in to drop off this week. This place is such the vibe. The were so super friendly and helpful. They had good music playing that totally added to the vibe. They are open 7 days and have easy street parking on Broadway or Workman.

I feel like a cool kid just knowing about this place. I found out about it on TikTok and made sure to take my daughter while we were in L.A. for the Thanksgiving holiday. Now it will be a destination whenever we're in town. Parking was fairly easy on the side street, with spaces opening up as we were coming and going. As soon as we reached the doorway we encountered a lovely scent. I think I heard the owner tell someone in another TikTok video that it's incense? Whatever it is, it's clean and inviting. Speaking of clean, everything I looked at was practically ready to wear right out of the store. I did A LOT of sniffing because I was curious as to whether they launder items before putting them out. I don't think that's the case, but the fact that I had a hard time discerning points to their meticulousness in what they take in. No stinky, stained, or holey stuff here. There are curtained dressing rooms, which is a nice departure from nearly every other thrift store I've been in since the pandemic. I also appreciate their organization and clarity. The pictures tell the story...every rack is prominently labeled with the clothing type and price. The only exceptions I noted were a few racks with premium/high-end pieces, which were priced individually. I keep coming back to the word "clean" when I think about Public Estrellas. It feels clean, bright, spacious, and easy to shop in. Their business model - which reminds me of a thrift version of Crossroads/Buffalo Exchange - is interesting and I hope they continue finding success.

Well organized thrift shop and so so so affordable too, I got about 3 pieces from here. The prices could compare to a goodwill or even more affordable than that! Everything was organized and priced by garment type. It is a big space so take your time to sort through all the clothing and accessories.

Overall great store, has a lot of different clothes and has a lot of different choices. Overall the people are very welcoming.

What a special find! I just happen to nearby and needed to scratch the thrift itch. This store is so organized and offers very affordable pricing for a real thrift experience. It's changing the game of thrifting with its clean presentation. Plus, he takes all clothes, so even fast fashion has a chance to not be in the landfill. I love to thrift! I googled thrift stores near me and this one came up! My dad and I decided it looked good online and wanted to check it out! It was very clean, well organize and inexpensive! Lots of items to look through! And mostly decent clothes. I came across a handful of mini dresses and another good point to make, is that they have fitting rooms! Two of the mini dresses fit me, and I fell in love with them! I had the pleasure of meeting the store owner! I believe he gave me a discount because the mini dresses are $6 each, but he charged me just $8.45 for both! I recommended this thrift store to my friends and best friend who also loves to thrift! Super cute. Well organized. My daughters and I decided to a little downtown thrifting starting off at Society of St. de Paul. Which was way TOO overwhelming for us although I'm happy we had the experience... Afterwards we found Public Estrellas--5 min. away. Color coordinated (LOVE). Very organized-shirts-tees-etc (LOVE). Not too many clothes which made it way easier to look through! And a very clean, bright, happy store with a lovely staff. read more

Amazing! Heard about this place via tiktok and decided to check it out. Love that it was in an easy to access area of town with ample parking around (and not the super crowded fashion district). Also loved how simple and straightforward the store is layed out. Every section has a sign with affordable prices and if anything is a special item they have their own racks and are clearly labeled. The owner was also great and really helpful during checkout AND they have fitting rooms which I love!!! Plus the music they played was great, I usually have to bring my own airpods just to zone out the noise, but the playlist on the speakers was a vibe. I saw this place on TikTok and decided to go the next day and it was definitely worth it. I got 47 items (mostly bandanas and scarves) and only spent $100. They also gave us a discount because of the amount of items we got. The value is amazing and there's tons of hidden gems. The music was good, it was very clean and organized, and the staff were super friendly. The cashier told us that they had been way more busy because of the TikTok and it was super wholesome. Wanted to get out of the house, so made this shop our destination. We had taquitos at Olvera Street first, then drove the 7 min to Public. Store is big, bright and clean, with crazy low prices. I loved the layout, as all of the clothes were divided by type. I didn't score anything this time, but my son is pleased with his 3 t-shirts for $10! Definitely worth a visit if you are a thrifter. I wanted to gatekeep this place so badly but the owner is really nice and I want to support local businesses. The store is clean, organized, and beyond good prices. There's a plus size section and a lot of outdoor and lifestyle clothes. I bought two really nice Patagonia jackets there recently each under $25. There are a lot of ways to get additional discounts. Each time I go I quickly find something to wear for work and regularly. I took a bunch of clothing in today and was given a .15 store credit for each pound which ends up being a lot. Absolutely loved this store! I found a really cute columbia jacket and only paid $8 which is insane in this economy. The main reason I'm leaving a review though is because of how kind and sweet the owner was. He put so much care into folding our clothes and looked so genuinely proud of his store. Stopped in here after visiting the Public Library nearby. Was pleasantly surprised with the variety of merchandise and the low prices! Almost all items in a category are priced at the same price point (i.e., all men's T-shirts are $4.80 excluding those on the "higher end" rack) which made it super easy to shop. They also have a deal for store credit if you donate clothing. Will definitely return! read more

I did notice a slightly awkward interaction between an older female employee and another customer browsing near the VHS/DVD and jewelry counter. The employee called out "next," which made it seem like she thought the customer was ready to check out. When the customer didn't respond right away, the employee called out louder to get her attention kinda sounded annoyed. The customer looked a little caught off guard and replied that she was just browsing before continuing to look around. It was a bit of an odd moment, but when that same employee ended up checking us out, everything went smoothly and we had no issues. Overall it was a fun thrifting trip and I'd definitely come back again. Next time I want to spend more time exploring the clothing section!

I love the variety of items they carry, and the employees have always been friendly, and welcoming. They have an impressive selection of clothing, shoes, glassware, collectibles, furniture, and vintage treasures, and it's always interesting to browse. That said, the prices are much higher than what most people expect from a thrift store. Traditionally, thrift stores exist to provide affordable clothing and household items while supporting the community, especially during times when many families are trying to stretch their budgets. Unfortunately, many of the prices here feel much closer to what you'd find in an antique or resale shop. I would honestly suggest renaming it to something like "Bridge Resale Store" because I think that would better reflect what customers can expect. It's still a great place to shop if you're looking for unique or vintage items, but if you're expecting traditional thrift store pricing, you may leave disappointed. I enjoy visiting and appreciate the staff and the quality of the merchandise--I just wish the pricing better matched the mission and expectations that come with the word "thrift."

Popped in today around 2:30pm to shop and it was not busy. So I got to take my time through the aisles. Saw some jeans and a shirt that I liked. Tossed them in my basket. Then I went to the book section and was amazed at all of the different types of books. Self help, fantasy, autobiographical, thrillers and more! I actually picked up four supernatural style novels. Checking out was easy. The cashier was friendly and saw that one of my articles of clothing had a green tag. Which meant 50% off! There's a free condom display for practicing safe sex. That's amazing! Oh, and on Saturday, February 21st 2026 they are having $2 sale in the parking lot. I will definitely start following them for their monthly $2 sales!

I absolutely love supporting this organization and enjoy visiting their stores because they are the place to go for incredible vintage finds and one-of-a-kind treasures. I stopped by on a Sunday morning and there was a small line waiting to get in. The darling gal that opened the door greeted us with a cheerful "Hello." She was fabulous - walking around enthusiastically telling customers, "That is perfect for you" in Spanish. The excitement was definitely in the air because I happened to overhear one gal's phone conversation. She said, "My mom kept telling me to come were to find a jacket for my trip. I finally said o.k. so she would leave me alone and guess what? I found the perfect jacket and it's my size! I hate it when my mom is right." I had to laugh. Her mom is right though, this store has a vast selection of clothing, jewelry, accessories, furniture, houseware, and other items. Most shoes & clothing are priced at $10. Of course, I fell in love with a stunning Roberto Cavalli dress. Unfortunately, it was $250. I also saw a pair of beautiful Louboutins for $45 but they weren't my size. However, I did score a great little black dress and a pair of sexy L.A.M.B. heels for $10 each. Perfect date night outfit! Now I just need to find a date. LOL!

I had been searching high and low for a specific vintage Margiela top from 1998 that I had owned once before and lost. Yes, I know, tragic! I found Danny on IG and sent him a message with a picture of the item. He wrote back immediately and told me he did indeed have it. He shipped it promptly and it was in perfect condition and he did not overprice the item either. I purchased another margiela item from him soon after and will certainly keeping buying. I cannot wait to visit the store in person if I ever make it to LA. He is the best vintage curator!

First time I called I had a super hard time understanding the employee on the phone. Second time the employee was super sweet and answered my questions. Both leis and experiences were really seamless and didn't have any problems with my order. I went and picked up the leis a day in advance too. Inside you see one of their employees making leis at the table and there's options on the wall to choose from if your walking in. If you are ordering during a busy season, I recommend ordering it asap too. Would come back if I needed to go to any other graduations in the future!

My experience was about over 3 decades ago. We came early in the morning, so we could get the best…read moreflorals, many to choose from and be able to get largest amounts, we needed. The flowers were beautiful, costs were just a fraction of what it would cost to have a florist procure them and put them together. We had no idea, as to "our" budget, except it was given to us our wedding gift. My paternal aunt purchased, all of our wedding flowers here and placed together by family, with love. We were there, bright and early and got best quality flowers. It was day or two, before they would be used. They must be preserved, freshly and kept them inside my bathroom, in dark, cold room & cranked up AC. All of it was placed in bathtub for hydration.

First the website mentions parking on the roof and we could not find this parking. There was an area blocked off, but it didn't say full. It was just blocked off and the only reason I suspect that was their parking lot is because the exit was still open. So I had to pay for $10 across the street. Yes we could have found street parking further away, but I was already frustrated not having found their lot and my partner was just like I'll just pay. Let's just go across the street. Next even though it is mentioned on the website (I don't remember seeing it despite looking at the website multiple times) and there was a $2 entrance fee. what am I paying $2 for? Why am I paying $2 to shop and spend more money? I'm sorry just on the way there as we got closer, there are so many flower shops around the mart so I don't see why you wouldn't just go to one of those and get your flowers without having to pay an additional fee. So now, we are already $14 out-of-pocket and we havent done anything but try to park and step inside. We get inside we look around and I honestly did not find the prices to be that different from a farmers market perhaps a slightly bigger bouquet, or a couple of dollars cheaper, but there was nothing that was like ooh, this is a great deal. We ended up buying a large bouquet of lilies for $25. There is a stall in the back that had what I would consider actually good price prices. Five stems for $10 and a big bushel of another kind of flower for $6. We got those as well. My partner also really liked the plant guy and bought a plant from him from $20. Now here is where I really will not be back. I stopped at a stall called Choice America. I saw a really pretty set of mum's and asked how much they were & was told $10. The guy helping me then confirmed that they were $10 with somebody else. He then went on to say that one with eight stems was a higher price that I don't remember because I knew I wasn't getting that.When I got to the counter to actually pay, the woman was going back-and-forth with another customer about some order. They both seemed equally frustrated. Why is this important?.. because when it was my time to pay she said $10. I handed her a $20 bill. She opens the register and pulls out a five and some ones throws up her hands. I deduced that already being frustrated this is just one more thing on top as she doesnt have enough change to give me and instead turns to me and says $12.50. I kind of stumble and I say for what... tax or something? and she goes yeah tax clearly lying! Even if they did charge tax, which no other stall did, sales tax in Los Angeles on $10 it's not $12.50. The unfortunate problem is that I am black and I am not afforded the luxury to say something back because then I'm seeing as an angry black woman, have the police called on me not being believed etc. etc. so I just have to bite the bullet and get scammed and ripped off of my money. My partner and I both agree that it was not worth the hassle to go, but he really wants to take me to the restaurant across the street so we would go back to the plant guy and we would go back to the stall in the back but even those are BIG IFS as neither of us has any desire to ever go back to the Flower Mart. I feel like overall. The whole place is a money grab, you should save your money and go to your local farmers market or visit one of the many other vendors that were around the area without having to pay an admission fee to even buy flowers. Or better yet be bold like the elderly lady who accosted us as we were leaving and asked "are you all done in there can I have your sticker?" I was already too flustered to even recognize what she was asking till after my partner happily handed his over.
