This thrift shop is a hidden gem! So many things to look at and then pick up to take home. They have so many things outside and inside. You'll have to walk through narrow hallways to look at all the stuff.

I do have to say it's a tad tight and have to be very careful you're not pumping into stuff but think that's the fun of it, trying to find any hidden gem.

Last time I went, I saw something I wanted and went to the other floor to get my money. I put the thing I planned to get, somewhere where nobody would see it, and there were no customers around. When I came back to get it, and pay for it, it was gone! I hid it super super well, and so am sure it was an employee who took it. It was not just "moved", because nobody would have normally touched where I put it, and as mentioned, there were no customers around me. The employees know I collect things, and remember details from my trips so... If there's some kind of question & a cashier needs to call a supervisor, the supervisors come over all I intimidating, acting like they're security or something! Totally unnecessary. And there's times you don't realize there's something wrong with the item till you're ready to wash it or something, and they only have a 7 day return o Policy, which doesn't work for someone like me, who regardless of being a regular customer, lives too far away to usually be able to come back just for a return in their 7 day window.

My brother-in-law recommended checking out Society of St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store in Lincoln…read moreHeights, and since it was my first time visiting, I was excited to see what it was all about. First off this place is huge! There's so much to browse through, and most sections are fairly well organized, though a few shelves and aisles looked pretty picked over and messy, which I mostly avoided. Still, the selection here is impressive. They carry everything from furniture, purses, shoes, and clothing to appliances, books, CDs, VHS tapes, DVDs, jewelry, electronics, vinyl records, dishes, and toys. My brother-in-law and I spent some time in the toy section and we both actually ended up leaving with some teddy bears. His was only $3, and when he looked it up in the store it was worth up to $70--he was so excited about that find! Overall my personal experience was very pleasant and the customer service I received was great. Most employees seemed friendly and helpful. I did notice a slightly awkward interaction between an older female employee and another customer browsing near the VHS/DVD and jewelry counter. The employee called out "next," which made it seem like she thought the customer was ready to check out. When the customer didn't respond right away, the employee called out louder to get her attention kinda sounded annoyed. The customer looked a little caught off guard and replied that she was just browsing before continuing to look around. It was a bit of an odd moment, but when that same employee ended up checking us out, everything went smoothly and we had no issues. Overall it was a fun thrifting trip and I'd definitely come back again. Next time I want to spend more time exploring the clothing section!
