Kenneth was very polite, and went through all of my concerns one by one. The explanation that I received as to the reason for the substantial rent increase was not that there was an increase in operating expenses, but rather "what the market could bear." Personally, I would think that getting to that higher rent would be received better by doing so via attrition, but I am not in the storage business. Regardless of the reason, Kenneth understood my frustration and offered a compromise on the price. I'd have to say that even though the rent is still going up somewhat, I am impressed with the attention that was paid to my concerns. That goes a long way in my book.
