I saw that the hours were until 9 PM so I booked it around 5:30PM and showed up around 7pm after packing my car full of items. I had gotten a text saying my unit was ready-clearly it's not. On the app it said my access was denied for the gate code to get in. I requested a code via text and when I typed it in it said see manager. Well, the office was closed and no one was answering the phones so that wasn't an option. Apparently they need to verify ID-totally fine- but MAKE SURE YOU HAVE SOMEONE THERE TO VERIFY. Ended up calling Customer Service and canceled my account and will hopefully be getting a refund. Unfortunately still got charged an admin fee but at this point, I was just over it and need to find something else for tonight. Don't bother with this place.

I came into this location in immediate need of a storage unit, and having never had to secure one before, I had A LOT of questions. I also had a few criteria I really wanted for the location of my unit - I wanted to be as close to the security cameras and elevator entrance as possible, since I or my other teammates would sometimes have to come to the unit alone or late at night. Danielle patiently searched each floor in the computer to find units that fit my size specs, along with these other two main criteria, and found a few options. We went and looked at each one, and looked at the location in reference to the cameras for each unit. We found the right one and placed it on hold until the 1st of the month (today), so we could start the rental on a full month. On the 1st, I went back in and found that my needs had changed. Even though this caused her to do a little more work to edit the info in the computer, she was still super helpful and upbeat. After a little while, we found the perfect, bigger unit and got it keyed and ready to go! I am so thrilled to finally be able to move this stuff out of my home into a space where it can be organized and well kept. I really like that there are trashcans on each floor, easily accessible, and bathrooms on 2 levels as well. The office at this account is clean, welcoming and they even make popcorn on the weekends for their customers! So far, I'm really loving my experience with Morningstar!!

On October 5, 2024, I entered my climate-controlled storage unit and was immediately struck by an unusual and unpleasant odor. The unit was also much hotter than expected. Upon opening my unit, I was shocked to discover mold covering my items--this in a space that was specifically advertised as climate-controlled. After researching reviews, I discovered that Public Storage was aware of this issue as early as August 31st, yet there was no communication or warning provided to tenants. When I reached out to your team, I was informed that Public Storage is only obligated to notify tenants in the event of a break-in. While your representative emphasized the "store at your own risk" policy and advised me to file a claim through insurance, this approach entirely overlooks the severity of the situation. This is not simply a matter of financial loss--there are significant health risks associated with exposure to mold and fungi. Both my family and I, along with other tenants, unknowingly entered this hazardous environment, and some may have even taken contaminated items home, further increasing exposure risks. The health and safety of your customers should not be disregarded in favor of policy adherence or profit. I understand that businesses need to be profitable, but it is unacceptable to allow customers' personal, often priceless, items to be destroyed through negligence, and then to put their health at risk. While I was informed that I can file a claim for $250 with a $100 deductible, I find this offer inadequate. This issue was preventable, and your company should take responsibility for the damages caused, rather than passing the burden onto tenants. I have already consulted with climate control and restoration experts, and I expect a clear response outlining your company's immediate plan of action. We cannot move our belongings to another facility without potentially exposing other locations and individuals to contamination, further complicating this matter. This letter is just a summary of my concerns, but I expect a prompt and appropriate response from your end. Please let me know how you intend to address this issue as soon as possible.
