Worst experience ever. They were 2-4 hours late each of the 3 days and didn't bother to let me know. Rude and dismissive. Wrapped china ok but just threw everthing else higgle-piggle in boxes (like rare books!) and didn't label anything correctly. The wonderful AMJ unloaders and unpackers on the destination end even commented on how weird and bad everything had been packed and loaded. Upon delivery I discover I have at least $4000 in damaged/missing items: 2 totally crushed bookcases, a broken plant stand and crushed rolling toolchest, Floor lamp snapped in two and more. My father had passed a few days ago and the chair and the wine cooler that were his I was trying to get back to Atlanta would have been ruined had I continued to drive. I happen to run into two 2 employees getting gas at the QT and asked if they had any packing tape to help secure trash bags over my items. They generously hopped into the back of my truck while making sure everything was covered and taped and when I offered to tip them, they said no. If these are the type of people that help out someone in a dire spot that isn't even a client, I can only recommend the lengths they'd go to actual clients. They were a lifesaver.

Disappointed After Two Great Experiences…read more I've used this moving company twice before and had great service, which is why I trusted them for a third move on 6/20. Unfortunately, this time was very different. They quoted my 72-year-old mother $800 to move her 150 miles and said they'd handle everything--including the truck. But on the morning of the move, they began sending texts showing failed truck reservations. After trying multiple locations, they finally admitted at 4 PM (for an 8 AM move) that they couldn't secure a truck and offered a full refund. To avoid missing her move-out deadline, we rented a U-Haul ourselves and added the mover as an authorized driver. He agreed and said we'd work out the refund later. He moved my mom overnight, arriving at midnight and completing the move by 4 AM on 6/21. He returned the truck late, incurring additional fees. After weeks of silence, the mover issued a partial refund of $400 on 7/10, itemized as:     *    Truck fee: $75     *    Mileage: $155     *    Late return fee: $103     *    Plus $67 added for the delay in issuing the refund While I appreciate that the move was completed, the last-minute scramble, poor communication, and financial burden were deeply disappointing--especially for a 72-year-old woman who was relying on the kindness and professionalism of a business she trusted. I advised the representative I spoke to my sister will be paying for the service and she confirmed the reservation. 8am the day of the move the representative calls to say she has to confirm the payment with the card holder I give her my sisters number to confirm keep in mind it's 5am in Los Angeles where she is but none the less she confirms with her and everything's fine. The mover shows up and I greet him and start showing him around he immediately starts telling me that he can't take the tiles I showed him if they are not boxed he doesn't ask if I have boxes he goes straight into we won't move that I say ok I can box them let's go ahead and look at the rest of the items he confirms everything else is ok he calls the office to advise her to charge 4 hours in advance which I thought was odd because I've worked with several moving companies before and I've never seen someone do that so I got on the phone with representative at the office, and it's my opinion that the mover judge me because of the color of my skin I am a younger black woman, and I believe he immediately wanted to charge the card, making the assumption that I wasn't going to pay I told the representative over the phone. Go ahead and charge it. It's fine I don't want any negative energy. I just want to get this all done She then begins to tell me that the card that I'm providing is not acceptable. Keep in mind she called in the morning to confirm with the card holder and now that the movers arrived and saw that it was a young black woman all of a sudden they want to charge the card in advance and then when I said it was OK then they said that they don't want to use the card at all it's very clear to me that this mover came in and took one look at me and made assumptions about who he thought I was. I explained to them that they can go ahead and cancel. God bless them and I closed my door. I am extremely disappointed by what I know was prejudice. It was shameful the way the mover behaved and I would never use nor recommend this company if it was made clear that the card could not be used at the time the service was scheduled then things would be different, but you can't meet someone and then change the terms of the agreement. It's clear that the only thing that changed is the perception they had for me as a client. It's very sad that in this day and age, we still as Black people have to face such prejudice I have been greatly inconvenience, and now I have to find a new company to try to do the move same day, all because of someone else's preconceived notion and outright racism. I sent an email and I called and I was blocked from calling as you can see and other reviews they will respond and try to solve the issue. They are actually avoiding speaking to me at no point did I ever raise my voice or did I speak nasty to the men that were here I actually told them God bless them before they left. This company does not care about the opinions of Black people.
