I do not usually write negative reviews because I don't want to affect someone's livelihood, however, the situation has become so bad that I feel I have no other choice. The problems started a few years ago when my unit was broken into. The lock had been replaced, my belongings were damaged and shockingly, someone had urinated on my items. When I reported this, management showed no concern - no apology, no assistance, and no offer of compensation. They wouldn't even remove the unauthorized lock for me and when I was trying to dispose of the items that had been damaged due to someone urinating on them, they gave me a hard time about throwing them out in the trash cans out front. Since then, things have only been going downhill. Initially, I chose this storage facility because of the security and condition of the property; the main area had been secured by roller doors, which could not be accessed without a code. After the roller doors opened, there was then a gate in place. The building was clean and in good condition, which is not the case now. The roller doors have been inoperable for at least three years, and the gates have been inoperable for at least a year - creating an unsecured facility where people can come and go at will. The lack of roller doors also allows pigeons to roost in the rafters. This has resulted in excessive droppings and feathers throughout the property including on the carts that are used to move belongings to and from your car, creating unsanitary conditions that you inevitably bring into your vehicle and home. It is disgusting. I raised these concerns in writing, but nothing was addressed. The office staff appeared indifferent, responding with rehearsed dismissive answers rather than showing any genuine effort to help or even basic empathy. When I advised them that I was going to close all of my units, there was no attempt to retain my business or address any of these issues which speaks volumes about how they value customers. Additionally, although this facility is in disarray, they continue to raise prices. The rent on the last unit I rented increased after three months. Even Public Storage is more safe than this! Last week I came and there was only one cart. I am here now and there is only one other car and there are absolutely no carts anywhere to be found. I waited to see if anyone would come out with a cart and after 30 minutes no one had come. How is one supposed to bring things from their storage without the help of carts? Additionally it's only 7 pm, and lights are off. While I'm sitting here writing this, three people on bikes have come through the broken back gate. I'm not getting out of my car as I do not feel safe. I'm taking my stuff out of here and putting it at a storage facility that is better maintained. There's simply no excuse for a broken back gate for close to 6 months!

Exceeded all expectations as she went above and beyond to assist me in meeting my storage needs! I'm in the process of moving back to Pompano Beach from West Palm Beach and feeling overwhelmed! As a widow I am taking a leap of faith financially. I did my research looking for the cleanest, safest and most affordable unit in the closest location to accommodate my needs. I spent 2 weeks driving to each storage facility within a 10 mile radius of my new apartment. Some were in iffy areas, some were in bad shape and some employees weren't helpful, borderline rude and condescending. Then I luckily found myself at Storagemart! Great location, a spotless facility with a professional, caring and efficient manager, Nile. I immediately knew we found our storage location!
