The self service kiosk feature was very easy and effortless in acquiring a new storage unit. A brief interaction on video chat and everything is set up. You go to your storage unit break the red tag and the lock is inside the unit. A nice and easy process with minimal human interaction. I received a follow up call from Beth checking in on my overall experience and wanting to let me know that there's someone who can be contacted if any problems arise. This is comforting because although the human interaction was minimal there is somebody on site who can help you if necessary. read more

Been in here for some years. Prices keep going up and up to ridiculous. Needed a 10x10 unit all they could give was one with 2 smaller doors a real PITA to move furniture into. Next the access door kept not going down all the way, had to use screwdriver to get it working. Took over 8 months to get it repaired. Now there's no office anymore just a kiosk, crap! Called the number for the site manager and left messages 3 times no call backs at all. Not access to carts to move things. found a closer storage company that has carts all over the inside storage areas, a clean bathroom you can use, way way cheaper and nices. They have an office where you can talk to the manger and get stuff you need. Public Storage is too expensive, poor service and now can't talk to anyone on site so why bother? read more

This past Sunday, March 19th, I was wanting to rent a larger storage unit. Unit. However, I was in Alabama and my storage unit was in Indiana. My husband was in Indiana and I was trying to get this done so we can move the contents from the smaller unit to the larger unit. I ran into some problems trying to get this accomplished. To make a long story short, I was held by two different representatives. One was Darlene from your Indianapolis location and the other one was Rachel from the Anniston Alabama location. Both of these representatives work together and was super. They help me get this accomplished. This was kind of frustrating to begin with but finally was able to get it done. I appreciate all of the hard work from both of these ladies. They should be commended. Thank you for the excellent customer service. read more

Still waiting for refund for space I never entered & cancelled day before move in date! Was charged rent for March after prorated Feb on same space. ... NO ONE ON SITE !! Impossible to talk to a HUMAN who can do anything -calling customer service is a circular tape recordings. On the rare occasion you get a human, you are cut off, put on hold, and then they don't know what's going on and can't bring the matter to conclusion or resolution and get you a refund anyway. I have filed complaint within BBB & going to Att Gen & anyone else who handles complaints! I've called the corporate office too & get recording again..... It's almost given me a heart attack. My experience is at the Rockville Rd & Girl School Rd Location in Indianapolis on the west side. Please note! There is no one on site at any of the Public Storage locations in Indianapolis except for the downtown location. I feel sorry for that staff constantly hearing complaints about the other locations because of many similar experiences to mine. read more

This place blows. After 2 weeks received a call that there was a break in. Went after work, my truck was fine. The new manager Hershey says lock reinforced and new cameras installed. Two weeks later went to just start truck and make sure all ok...converter had been stolen. Of course no help per agreement. No cameras in sight but told they were "hidden"...lmao. last two weeks had someone follow me in to try to figure out converter issue...couldn't get out of gate. We sat there for 23 mins before remotely opened. Tonite, they to get in to start truck and check on it. Couldn't get IN. Person in front me of pissed and had to let out. Called the worthless 800 number, sat on hold for 15mins, left and was almost back home b4 some guy answered and said he couldn't help me. Oh, tried calling and texting the number new manager Hershey had...no replies either way. This place sucks! Cant wait to pay$1,000 to replace my catalytic converter and get the hell out of it!!! read more

I reserved a climate controlled unit. Upon arrival none were available. The unit they issued already had items inside. The only unit they had available light bulb burned out, and was never replaced. They also have roaches. Management was no help stating I would have to pay to transfer. read more

I have rented here since May 2017. In July 2017, a bullet struck the roof and water leaked inside and has accumulated inside ceiling material, which is hanging down from the weight inside my unit. They repaired the bullet hole. They have not drained the bubble. There are approximately 10 gallons of water in that bubble, per the repairman that fixed the bullet hole. I've been calling since July 2017, it is now December 2017. They have raised my rate. I have called the district manager, Erica, Customer Service, and the property manager. None will repair this bubble. So I'm in the process of moving my unit to another non-Public Storage facility. I'm not waiting for that bubble to burst all over my belongings. And I'm not paying their rate increase for their awful service! read more

Run Down, no support from main company or on site staff We have had a unit for 8 years in the climate controlled building. Over the years we have had trouble with the main gate but the company ph is able to help with this easy issue. Now the doors to the climate control building have both had issues for at least the last three years but this past weekend was the last straw, the key pad would not let anyone in... we had to wait until Monday to get help from the people who work at the facility.. (opens at 9:30 am per sign on door) she arrived at 940 am parked her car tried the door and then disappeared, she saw we were at the other door with all the things we need to put away and didn't stop to talk to let us know what was going on. We called the service ph but they could not help, they transferred us to a answering machine for the district manager. Apparently the lady left the keys to the office in the office and the next person who showed up at 10:30 was able to let us in by going thru the front to open the doors from inside, but had to keep the doors propped open thereby negating the climate control that we are paying extra for.. We will be moving to a different company at the end of the month. read more

have had a storage unit for 7 years and price keeps going up,late charges are rape,the gate keypads need replaced,have an inside unit as well and no lighting at all for 4 months,had to use a phone light,no employee on site during actual business hours stated on door.Not a fan of the prices for the service that is lacking. read more

First time I've rented a storage unit. Even tho I rented the "smallest" unit....I was treated as if I had rented the most expensive. Thanks to Darnell and David for all their help and patience. The only complaint I had with this property was the parking. Even tho it is not the employees fault....I think there are 5 parking places. These are taken up by employees and a visiting employee parked along the building. I got the last spot and had a hard time backing up and not hitting car parked along building. I think employees should park inside the gated area. While I was pulling out 2 more people were trying to get in....one took my spot and the other behind the car along building which isn't a parking area at all. So much for that complaintt.....but as far as renting space and all the paperwork....Darnell was wonderful. Great personality....easy to see why he is in this position.
