All around terrible. We got a small storage unit and we're going to load it up and can't get in because the power is out. Note that every business around had power but not this place. Not blaming them for a power outage but you'd think a CLIMATE CONTROLLED facility would have generators for such scenarios. The office had a note on the door being very blunt about the situation and didn't even have a "sorry for the inconvenience" or anything. No one is in the office and they provide a number that takes you to a mailbox that claims "they'll get back to you ASAP" but wouldn't bet my life on it. It is the middle of summer so I bet it is hotter than hell inside. If you have perishable or climate sensitive items you want to store here, good luck. I would not recommend this storage building AT ALL. read more

We just rented a 10 x 10 climate controlled unit today. Shelly waited on us and explained all of the details of the rental to us. Shelly was very professional and patient and answered all of our questions. We think the storage rates at Public Storage are very reasonable. We currently have a storage space at Life Storage on Mills Branch and they just raised our rental rates for the second time this year to an unacceptable level so we will be moving out in the near future. read more

I stored items here for about a year. It is safe, well lit, and never had any problems with the items. I used their controlled temperature storage. Other than being what I thought was overpriced I have no complaints with the place. My advice is to shop around before you end up here. read more

Not very clean. But not my biggest complaint. Be warned, they can raise your rate without notice or reason and they will. Started off with a $99/month and this was not a special. 6 months in, my bill came and was $139. I called and they said it was a price increase. I protested the amount of increase and they said they have the right to raise rates. 2 months ago, the bill showed $159 is my new rate. This is incredible and insane for a storage unit that is not very well maintained. I called around and the storage facility near by is $80 for the same size. Now moving to new space. This did not happen once as if someone was having a "bad day", it was on several occasions. She should NOT be in a customer service role. I have never left a negative review before, but this is all information I wish I had known before choosing this facility. I called last week to choose a unit to move into, the woman I spoke with was very kind and helpful. She told me that there was special going for the 7.5x10 unit, and the price would only be $1 for the first month. This was perfect for me since I really only needed the unit for two weeks while I was waiting to move into my new apartment. I was immediately sent a confirmation email with the date and time of my reservation to get moved in, the price breakdown of my unit and the address of the facility. I even received a phone call two days before my reservation to confirm my appointment, the size of the unit and the price. When I showed up today for my appointment, I was told that there were no more units available. I showed him my emailed confirmation and it turns out the units are first come first serve and if someone wants your unit before you get there, they are allowed to rent it to that person. So I showed up today ready to start moving stuff in and my unit was no longer available! Not only that, but they said the promotion quoted to me on the phone (and by the property manager) was not valid at that location. What?! Even though that location was the one listed on my email with the quoted price. After calling costumer service they said they could not honor the quoted price at that location. I am so aggravated that this happened. Everyone was super nice and friendly, but completely unhelpful. It is so frustrating when a company makes a mistake and won't do what it takes to make it right. read more

I walked in at 9:30 on a Saturday morning and meet Gladys at the door as she was opening the office. Mind you, I had already been out cleaning the garage for 2 1/2 hours and this poor lady hadn't even had her coffee. She was AMAZING! She was extremely professional and informative. She found me a place different than what was originally on my request and did it with a smile. I was so hot and tired by the time I got there but dealing with Gladys put a huge smile on my face and gave me the lift I needed to go back and finish clean, painting, and packing in order to get my house on the market (I finished at 9pm). I moved to Public Storage because it was closer to my house. I was anticipating that it was going to be more expensive and happy that it really wasn't. Mr Don was great at helping me with all my questions. He is VERY thorough. Security seems pretty tight here - so that is a plus! He even checks all the locks daily. I noticed one review said that Andrew W posted that his unit was robbed. I can only imagine it was a different facility than the one on Northpark in Kingwood. read more

Not as safe as you may think. My girlfriend and I have been moving her parents here and rented 2 storage units. It's been about a month and finally the closing on the house and everything has gone through. We loaded up in a UHaul and came to move some stuff around. We had a unit on the main drive through and one in the back, around the corner. While driving in this morning, August 1st, 2015, there was another UHaul by our one near the back. There were 2 Hispanic people loading up and quickly said they would move. As they jumped in and drove off, we saw our unit wide open and realized they were stealing stuff. My girlfriend's cousin chased their UHaul to the front gate, the passenger jumped out and ran through a hole in the metal gate near the Shell. The driver got out and fled through the same way. Cops were called but since they ditched their UHaul, I doubt they will catch them. Needless to say we are not going to be storing here. There aren't any cameras except at the very front. The robbers actually rented a unit using a fake license. Not very safe of you ask me. If they had don't this on a Tuesday afternoon, who knows what they would have gotten away with. They broke into multiple units and had their UHaul half full. We got everything back, but with no cameras and the people that work here being so trusting, it's just not a good deal. Don asked why we were taking all our stuff and said 'they hadn't had a problem in 13 years'. Sorry dude. You had a break in today. read more

They both took time to walk me through the process, and added a very personal touch to their customer service. I was actually considering another storage company a little closer to my neighborhood. Have had 2 units over many years and security has been great! It is a clean facility and grounds and locks are checked daily. I live near by so I drop in a pay my bill. Don has been so very helpful over the years as he has been kind and have enjoyed visiting him. I have so appreciated the reminder calls from him when it is getting close to the end of the grace period. Everyone is busy so this has been a great asset. He has been great! read more
