    I have always used public storage and let me tell you it's a huge difference in service and I will never go back. I had to rent a 10x15 unit from public storage so I made a online reservation a month before online to make sure I could lock-in the date. The website told me I had no obligation to pay at that time and I could pay on my move-in date. The unit was going to be $102 or so a month because the deal online was $92 a month so with taxes and insurance that was like $15 that's what it was which is a good deal for the size and all. Fast forward a month and I show up at 3:35ish pm (my move in appointment I had confirmed was at 3:30 but traffic) no one was in, there was no sign or nothing. 4 people were waiting outside to move in. We call customer service and they just tell us the manager is probably helping another guest and that we can't complete the reservation online anymore because each location reservation is different. Okay. We wait until about 4:30. We leave because it's really hot and humid and get gas to come back. Come back at 5:20 pm. The storage unit place tells you everywhere they close at 9pm but online it states that location closes at 6pm. Still. Not one person there. I have to leave to pick up my kids and then call customer service again to make sure they give me the same rate when I come back tomorrow and I get told that my unit was sold to someone else a while ago and a lecture about how I should have paid in advanced and that's why I lost it. No apologies or anything. Just straight up you messed up. So I ask her what was the point of a reservation then and she says it was just a slight "hold". I hung up. I then look everywhere and find this place at a higher but still reasonable cost. Make the reservation online (still the same day) show up and the app lets me go right in, and my unit is perfect and accessible already with a thank you note. (Literally within hours of reserving it.).

They are very quick to help you when needed. The site stays clean. I signed up during a one month free promotion and opted to discount my monthly payments instead of taking the first month free- this is definitely the way to go if you're storing long term as the price does raise just a little over a certain period of time. So if you choose this option it'll just go up to about the regular price instead of starting there and going higher. I've only ever had issues getting into the gate once due to a system error while the office was closed but a quick call to the kind reps on the 800 number got me the temporary access code needed to get in while they corrected it. The units are very secure and temp controlled. No pest issues or funky smells. No issues of break ins. The manager is the most wonderful woman you will meet and is very willing to work with you as much as she can if your payment is going to be late. I tend to be on the forgetful side so thankfully they give you a call to remind you before you occur any late fees and there's a nice grace period. 10/10 would recommend this storage place to anyone looking to tuck their things away for a little or long time.

I reserved a unit from Cubesmart and they called me within 5 minutes of the reservation to discuss my needs. The manager, Mitch, is very friendly, knows the property and will have you in your rental unit in 15 minutes. I highly recommend CubeSmart for it's location, cleanliness and no hassle policies. One note - you will have to purchase rental insurance that is at least $12 a month for $2000 worth of coverage with a $100 deductible. They will waive the insurance if you can provide proof of your own prior to renting. So just add $12 to their rental quote and you are good to go!

    Overall I had a good experience, but there were some confusions as I selected the mobile check-in…read moreexperience instead of dealing with someone at the store. I like this option especially since we're still going through a Pandemic. I followed the directions on website to the T. The only thing I would suggest is 1. Show a video in how to open the Word Lock Pad. I had no experience with that particular pad, so took a few struggles before I figured it out. 2. My check-in time should not be the time I arrive, but the time that I actually finish with all steps to check-in. 3. To extend or add time to my return of the vehicle was not accessible. I had to call in to do so. That makes the web page a little inconvenient. I want to add that the upload speed was slow, and the approval process was slow too. As for the check-out experience: 1. There should be signs on the tent to park vehicles under the tent when returning. Signs should not say "equipment returns" only, but "equipment and vehicle returns". 2. I followed the website to park my vehicle in the parking lot, and was going through the steps to notate the gas levels, odometer, and cleanliness. The last step was to lock the key in the back, and a worker came up to tell me to repark under the tent, and leave the key and lock in the cup holder. I have no issues following the directions, but the website and workers are countering each other. Who am I supposed to follow? It's not supposed to be confusing. I think they need more signage, and clear up some confusions.
