Used a 10x18 unit at this facility for the last year. Robert was helpful from day one until I moved out in favor of a slightly closer-to-home and cheaper alternative Public Storage location. Would recommend this location and would use again in the future without question. read more

We rented 2 storage units in 2 different locations a month apart based on where we were living. Public storage tauts that they don't have contract (great for them) because every 2-3 months they raise the rent. We started with an airconditioned 17x19 unit in Nov 2023 and moved in with a special of about $250. Every 2-3 months it raised about $45 - 2 months ago I complained and they waived it for 2 months and now I'm up to $466 - they doubled the increase when they raised it. The location we are at now, 1730 S Pinellas Ave, Ste I Tarpon Springs, FL 34689 is run down. The door knob was broken when we moved in and the manager had no idea how to fix it so we lived with it. The ceiling inside was falling down and 2 months after I moved in I retrieved 1 box which had a roach in it. This company is absolutely horrible and I highly recommend finding alternative solutions. I guess in January I will be looking for another storage unit that doesn't rape you in rent and is a little new. read more

Unfortunately, a good company like public storage has employed a contact system that does not allow you to talk to a person, i called public storage while in hospital, on 1st of July, i managed to move out by the 3rd , because public storage automatically charged me a late fee , and auromatically charged my credit card withoit my consent... so , ok, public storage, you stole my money with your defective automation , and i moved out before late charges should be implied, so please stop your automation service from harrassing me. I rented the unit online and it was super easy. When I showed up the next morning Robert was expecting me. He has been very helpful and always available. The unit was very clean and I don't need to fight with the doors to open and close it. It's in a very convenient location and easy to access. I will definitely be recommending this place. read more

I've been a renter at this location for about 3 years now and the new property manager Robert is incredible. In the past, people moving out would dump trash in the corners of the facility and it wouldn't be taken care of for weeks. The previous property manager would let people hangout in their units all day long and long past closing hours, a few homeless people would even live in some of the units and then hangout at the facility during the day which always made me nervous. I run a small business and keep my all my inventory inside my unit and enclosed trailer. About 3 months ago Robert became the new Property Manager and slowly but surely took care of everything. Cleaning up everyday and kicking out people who try to hangout in their units after the facility is closed. Now this location is cleaner and safer than it's ever been. The only complaint I have is not with the staff but with Public Storage as a company. My rate has increased every 6 months since I signed up with Public Storage which never happened to me at my last two storage facilities. All together my rate has increased about $120 since I signed up. This seems pretty foolish since long-term renters should be the company's bread and butter but you're forcing us into your competitors arms when you get greedy. I would have given 5/5 stars if it wasn't for this disappointing company standard. read more

i have lots of experience with self storage units and i can honestly say this one in Tarpon Springs is managed in a first-rate way. The manager (Robert?) is very knowledgable and made the rental process with all the information sharing go smoothly. The site is clean and neat; no trash blowing around and no weeds growing out every crack. Me minor knock is the unit door was a bit tough to get up. Could use a spot of grease. Overall though, i highly recommend. read more

I have had a rough year. Lost my job & my house due to COVID-19....no job and no house so I moved my stuff into a storage unit. With times being as tough as they are $133 was a quite bit high...lone behold after 3 months of having my storage unit "They Say" we are a month to month company and we sent you a hard copy to your address letting you know we are jumping your monthly rent to $200 Month ($190's)! You mean you sent a hard copy to the place I had to move from due to landlord going bankrupt ??? Which obviously I don't have an address due to this awesome thing COVID. Renters beware, it's like that saying kick him while he's down! They are that type of company. read more

We are moving from Indianapolis IN to Tarpon Springs FL, so, I set up a RESERVATION (which means to reserve) for a storage unit. They also gave us the price of $26 for the first month. My husband takes the moving truck to the location and they tell him that there is nothing available.... So, he takes it to a different Public Storage and they only had 1 available in double the size and $128. I then call the original one and ask why they set reservations if they don't reserve them. She said that they give them to walk ins first. What in the world?!? So, anyways, she pulls up our reservation and magically a storage unit becomes available. After a 18 hour drive straight through this is what we had to deal with. Unacceptable. read more
