Within 24 hours I had received a very friendly professional call from Frank the manager of this particular Public Storage. He welcomed me, left me a nice voicemail and said he was here to help me. I am nervous for it to go up again before I can get down there and empty it. When I called to ask why it keeps going up she said they have competitive dynamic pricing. So as soon as I can get a flight to FL I will have to get rid of my storage. If it were more economical I would just keep it. Not their fault but when I went to down size both dumpsters were filled to the top with personal information from a guy who had a unit for his accounting business. We had to make many trips to other places to dispose of any garbage. The very nice employee explained what happened but it was definitely frustrating.

Joe's family has owned this property for 22 years. Family owned storage facilities are the VERY best especially if professionally impeccably run like Sawyer. I rented from Public storage until this year in Minnesota - - they raised my rent 50 % in May to $1500 a month for 2 thirty foot deep temp controlled units after being a loyal customer for 18 years!!! 4 years ago the top middle and local management throughout Public Storage that had worked for years, suddenly ALL quit in 2-3 months, and then rental rates sky rocketed each year. This is happening nationally with all giant corporate storage companies! I now will ONLY use top quality local regional family owned storage companies. This facility originally was an ice skating rink then a post office. They retrofitted it into a spotless, perfectly lit, very very well air conditioned/ fully temperature controlled medium sized facility. The front door slim door mounted security key pad is very easy to use. We have been coming to Sarasota visiting in-laws for 35 years and never knew this building and street existed. It is very nicely tucked away hidden off two quiet small roads. Security outside and inside are excellent and someone is in the office/ facility daily 9-5, saturdays 9-12. I feel 100 % secure here coming solo ( over age 70). Location is excellent if you live in Osprey, Sarasota, Siesta Key, Downtown Sarasota and worth the drive if you live in Longboat Key. Enjoy!

My family had two storage units here for years and combined into one, Janet created a huge issue when my mom couldn't find the key and said we needed paperwork showing my mom had access even though she knew her for years. They said only our dad signed the contract so we provided all paperwork including the will from my dad. They stopped taking our calls and they refused the paperwork and even as we continued to pay the monthly payment they then denied the payments so they could confiscate and sell my families items and the owner and the front office lady Janet are thieves and truly horrible people. Even our lawyer said he has never seen anything like this and they ignored the certified will from our father stating my mom was the beneficiary, we sent all requested items and paperwork and they refused to accept any of it! They are auctioning off units full of peoples things for the same reason because that's the real business they are in! I'm now also reaching out to the state senators who we have contacts with because this company needs to be held accountable for stealing from the elderly! I highly suggest you do not put any of your valuables with this storage company because they will stop taking calls and put a lock on your unit even when paid in full and will take your families possessions!
