This is our local Publix for the time being. It's a smaller Publix, compared to others in the area, but I like this one because it is very clean and has a nice neighborhood feel to it. The deli is decently staffed which helps the lines to move more efficiently. The produce and meats are always fresh, which is why Publix is known for being on the pricier side of things. It's always good to check for weekly specials because it is possible to shop here on a budget. I've always had good interactions with the employees at this location. I like using the self checkout, and whenever I have an issue, someone helps me get it resolved in under 30 seconds. read more

Im so proud to say that we are now Chapel Hill residents and super excited that Publix is right around the corner from our house. Our old place was an apartment complex and the closest thing was wal-mart... which was a nightmare everytime we go. I've always been a fan of Publix, but this one, I can tell already, will become my fave grocery store. It was SO clean, organized, and no lines. This Publix is one of the two I frequent in the area. Originally in the beginning (about 4 years ago) I had said that I would never come to this Publix again because of one child that straight made me get out of her line because she was going to lunch or something. Keep in mind I was already there and my items were on her belt. I eventually forgave them and I come here often if I am headed down Chapel Hill in this direction. They have more of a selection than the other location about 5 miles from them on Lee road and there is a friendly guy there that loves comics and star wars and will talk to you all day if you let him. This location gladly gave me rainchecks for lobster tails they had on BOGO that i had traveled from one location to the next and the next to discover they were all gone. I have been shopping at this Publix location for over a year now and really have enjoyed my experiences. The store is neatly organized and is always well stocked. The produce is super fresh and their displays are vibrant and attractive. I have received excellent customer service from the deli department, store managers and the cashier / bagging staff. They are very friendly and always go the extra mile in making sure my groceries are carefully bagged. In addition, although I always decline (because I'm a "macho man" (lol), they always offer to assist me with transporting my bags into my vehicle. My constructive feedback is that although most of their products are properly rotated, there are some products that aren't! For instance, I went to pick up a tub of Kraft Olive Oil Mayo 2 weeks ago (June 3, 2017), and all of the tubs were scheduled to expire on June 17, 2017! I was like, "oh hell no! I'll wait on that and just pick one up on my next shopping trip!" Okay, so now I'm back on Friday, June 16, 2017, and they are still on the shelves set to expire the following day without any fresh tubs available! Damn! I mean I expect this to happen at a Walmart, but not at a "Publix!" :-) So I had to settle and pick up a tub of Hellmann's Olive Oil Mayo, which contains 10 more overall calories, 5 more Fat Calories, I gram more of fat and 0.5 gram more of Saturated Fat! Okay, well...I'll take it!! I'd rather have the little increased calorie intake as opposed to ingesting expired Mayo! Yuck!! Thank God I always check the labels! It's second hand nature for me with my OCD tendencies! However, if you don't already, I highly suggest you do yourself a favor and "always" check the expiration dates on the labels! I am going to speak with the manager about this on my next visit, but other than that, I truly love this Publix location! read more

Nice store but prices are way high, I've shopped at Kroger and found items be of equal quality for way cheaper. I've also shopped for many years in LA and even there stores beat prices of Publix here in GA read more

this is the slowest publix ever, i ordered a sub @12:10pm and when i got there it wasn't ready and the workers were fooling around. the tickets of the orders were just laying around. i didn't get my sub until 12:45pm. the cashier made a face at me because i told her i'm not a reward member. rudest slowest publix ever. the best publix is the one on macland pointe. read more

Every time I go to this location I have a problem! They are rude, short handed and snippy. It is the closest store to my house and so I am in there a lot. I get frustrated almost every time! Ugh! Maybe they need new management! read more

This store used to be good, now not so much. They are poorly stocked in the meat department, constantly out of products, the employees talk to each other and hold up line, they never monitor the express lane, and some folks, especially in bakery, are rude. read more

I know this is a late post, but I just started using Yelp again. This was such a kind thing and unusual I had to post it. I went to the store to pick up medicine for my son and grabbed some other things while there. I was exhausted and was rushing to get back home to my son. As I went through the line the cashier politely handed me an envelope and my change....as I got in the car I realized what she gave me, opened it, and found a Christmas card from her. We have only been in this area for 2 months so this was such a nice thing it made me cry. So to Cara, thank you! You don't find kindness like that very often these days. read more

If you shop here be sure to check the expiration dates on your food before you check out. I was in a hurry and didn't check until I was home. On December 22 they're selling products (not at a reduced price either) that will expire on December 23rd. Impossible to use up before then. CHECK THE EXPIRATION DATES. read more
