The store is clean and has great service but also has a Starbucks inside. Overall,you don't feel crowded in this store even if it's busy because of the size of the store, they have a great produce and meat department selection here and a good size pharmacy even a liquor store next door. I also needed a big bottle of something fun to drink for our game night, hence the reason to stop in to Liquor 46. The outside is deceiving, it is a small store at the end of the plaza, but don't let that deter you because they have a ton of liquor. I performed a brief recon of the brown liquor and Tequila section and noticed there was a lot of variety, but as other reviewers noted, more expensive than competitors in the area (probably because of the location i.e., Lake Forrest). The lady working the counter was nice enough and asked me if I needed help, which I didn't since I found what I needed in their main discount display. They had a special for their 1.75 liter of Fireball for $23.99, which isn't too bad. but I have seen it for less at ABC and Total Wine; regardless, I was in a pinch and didn't have time to shop around. I wouldn't say its the best liquor store in the area, but they do have good variety of liquor and tobacco products if you are in a bind and need something for a special occasion.

I actually went looking for a Dubai chocolate which my best friend picked up the last time but it looks like it sold out. I did however find caramel stroopwafels for just $4 and Hana Awaka sparkling yuzu ($10) which is tasted in a sushi restaurant and it is delicious! They have so many lovely artworks, home goods and international snacks that it is fun to wander around.

It reminds of the "In The Year 2000..." skits from the late night show years ago when I could stay up past midnight. Their prices may vary, so know the fair market price for items (or look them up while shopping). I found some great deals in the past, but then see other crap well over sticker price and fair market value. I lucked out one day and saw a bottle of Bookers for sale at a great price if you spent $50 on other stuff. It was well under what other have charged. It was easy to spend the $50 to get this 125 proof smooth as my bottom bourbon. On contrast, they had Blanton's too, but it was way overpriced even after you spent more more money on stuff. I forget the price, but it was way more than anyone should pay for it. I usually stop in here when at the Homegoods and/or the Brooklyn Water Bagel Co. At times this one has better subs an fried chicken, but there are times when it's better at the other store. It's crazy how prices have soared at Publix over the years. I remember when you could get a full sub for $6.99 and a box of chicken for almost the same price. Now, a full Italian will cost you $10 and a box of fried chicken wings is $16. In the old days, you could find a two for one bag of chips for $5 now its abot $7. However, if they're not having any sales you're looking at spending $6 a bag, it's crazy. Oh and a gallon of lemonade or tea used to be two for $5, now it will run you $7 for the same deal. My team loves these M&M cookies which cost about $4 back in the day, now they are $6.19. Once in a while we'll pick up a cake and some ice cream for a birthday. The cheaper cakes cost about $7. And a tub of Blue Bell ice cream is about $9.20. Specialty cakes are anywhere from $15-$30. We usually buy for a group of seven or eight people, so we easily spend $100 or more each time we come here yet It's still cheaper than going to most other places in the area and you'll get a lot more for your money. We like to put our order in around 9:30 or 10:00 a.m. so we can pick up by 11:00 a.m., just in time for lunch - anytime after that Publix is pretty well slammed and you might be eating after 1:00 p.m. The store is always clean and the staff are friendly and helpful. If you are in the area and craving a great sub you have several options but Publix will cost you the least out of all of them (Laspadas, Jersey Mike's, Upsala Grocery, Firehouse, Jason's Deli, or Honey Baked Ham). If you have never had a Publix sub I highly recommend giving one a try!

Kevin's corner store has become a local favorite in the Sanford area. There are two buildings here;…read moreKevin's main convenience store, which supplies all of your normal convenience store needs minus gas. Adjacent to the convenience store is Kevin's Liquor store. My wife and I frequent both locations weekly. The store is within walking distance of our home so it is a quick easy spot to grab a snack, drink or cigar for that fun night out on the town. I would say that Kevin's prices are fair market value when compared to other convenience stores in the area. There have been occasions where I have been able to get a bottle of Jim Beam or Makers Mark at a better price than ABC or Walgreens. On a side note, if you love Bud Light Platinum this may be the only place you can find it in a 12 pack or more. I am not sure why 12 packs of Platinum are so rare but if you need it Kevin's almost always has it. The parking lot can be quite active so be prepared to navigate around other people who cannot park, drive in general or just don't know how-to walk-in public. This is part of the reason we like to walk here but I guess that's how it is when your business is located at the intersection of French Ave. and 20th street in Sanford. The staff here are always helpful and friendly. The guy who is usually working in the liquor store is awesome at helping you find what you need at the best price. I feel is a great way to keep customers coming back. If you are visiting Sanford for a fun day/night out, stop in to Kevin's before heading downtown. There is something for everyone here, you might just save some Moolah and enhance your overall experience visiting Sanford.
