Where to begin..this shoe is rather larger than most Publix stores since it was a Albertsons before. They layout of this store is a bit different then most Publix, frozen is located in the middle and this store has 15 aisle all mostly larger and wider then a typical store. The store is clean and has great service but also has a Starbucks inside. Overall,you don't feel crowded in this store even if it's busy because of the size of the store, they have a great produce and meat department selection here and a good size pharmacy even a liquor store next door. You can find pretty much everything here. read more

Some may disagree but this is the best Publix in Lake Mary, I'm basing it on layout, all the amenities and service. I was waiting at the deli counter waiting for my turn, I was next, the Deli clerk was cutting the cheese I wanted for the case, I asked her if that was the Boars Head, she immediately ask how much I needed and served me right away. Oysters!! I love oysters but don't get out to eat them as much as I like and they are typically expensive at most restaurants. At Publix, I get them for $1.09 each and haven't been disappointed yet. The first time I went I even bought the shucker tool from there for $3.50 along with some horseradish and cocktail sauce. I've gotten oysters three times now and I'm getting better at shucking each time. The service is always good! It's Publix! I always call ahead to the seafood department and they always take the time to check to ensure they have oysters in the cooler. If you like oysters don't be afraid to try them at home. read more

Given how Lake Mary has so many Publix supermarkets, this location is my favorite. The customer service area is newer and I always seem to catch friendly employees. The products are usually in stock and the display items are nicely presented. This location also has a Starbucks inside in case you want to sip and stroll. I also like how this Publix is a little bigger than the other ones in the area. It makes me feel like it's a Super Publix :) Definitely will come back and recommend to anyone. read more

What a disappointment with this Publix. You would think having a Starbucks on site the Deli department right next to it would be great. Three times I have come on different occasions and have had issues with my Sub. First time I accidentally clicked the wrong Turkey option in app and got a call from a lady saying they can't make my sub how I ordered it. I told her the easiest way would be for her cancel the order and I will pay again In store. Told her I will be over shortly for pickup. When I arrive my sub is nowhere to be found in the pickup section(mind you I told her I would be over shortly), after asking someone for my order and waiting a minute they brought it out of the walk in cooler. Second time I order again and the cheese was either sliced too thick or stacked on top another it was like half inch thick of cheese, just didn't taste right. I called to ask about my refund on the first order and one of managers Juan reached out and was really nice and apologized and made things right. Said next sub is on the house just ask for him or Emily when I come back in. Well that day was today. Emily nor Juan are on site but I figured I would tell customer service at end they can relay message I came in for the sub Juan offered. No big deal. The woman who made my sub was either improperly trained or having a bad day. Found out half way through her assembling my sub that she didn't have gloves over her cutting glove. One of her coworkers had to tell her. I asked for Parm Cheese and she replied didn't have. The same coworker who told her about her glove had to tell her to look around that there IS parm cheese. Then at the end I ask for Black Pepper and I noticed she put Salt and Black pepper. I asked if she put a lot of salt since I didn't ask for salt only pepper and never apologized just said "only a little". The sub line was 5people deep at this point and didn't want her to remake it over a little salt. It wasn't a little. Biting into the sub was like throwing a handful of salty Sunflower Seeds in your mouth. I had to remove all the toppings off the sub and leave just meat and cheese and luckily she put mayo under. Coming from New Jersey, a state known for their great subs, in a way it hurts me to state that a supermarket has some of the best subs in the area. But it is also a 100% true statement. Publix subs are very good. My go-to sub is probably their Italian sub, which is truly a tasty offering. I also enjoy their roast beef and cheese sub. I would definitely recommend upgrading it by using Boar's Head meat. It is definitely worth the small upcharge. It is great to see Publix expanding beyond the boundaries of their home state of Florida and spreading throughout the southeast. Not only am I happy about it, but I am confident that the communities that Publix opens a location in are very grateful for a Publix opening by them. One of the best grocery stores in the area, with a good selection of most things you'd need for weekly groceries. Easy to shop there and find what you need. Really love this location. It's in a beautiful building, staff are very friendly. Because of the location I kind of expected people to not be so down-to-earth easy-going, but I was pleasantly surprised. Store is well laid out, has lots of options, and they even have their own stand-alone kiosk for returns and customer service. I've never needed to use it except to let them know when an employee has gone above and beyond. Don't let the location intimidate you, you don't have to be dressed fancy or wear make-up to shop here. My work crew and I have been frequenting the Lake Mary Publix for the last couple of weeks. We are finding it to be more difficut to purchase a quick lunch (that we feel safe eating) verses cooking it ourselves. We are a tight-knit group and have been working tirelessly to prevent the potential spread of Covid-19/CCP Virus at work during this pandemic. Thankfully, Publix takes this pandemic just as seriously as we do by implementing social distancing standards and the use of PPE in their daily operations. This store has most of our needs the majority of the time. The last few lunches for the team consisted of: potato salad, baked beans, variety potato chip packs, grilled peppers & onions, grilled chicken breast, Johnsonville Brats, Nuermbergers, kabasi, Bubba Burgers, Hand pressed Burgers, Hot dogs, buns/rolls, multiple condiments and a variety of drinks. I can say Publix has a great selection of items to choose from. Even if one item is out of stock, there always something just as good available to fill it's place. The staff are always friendly and shopping here is much more efficient than any Walmart in the area. I like that we can get in and out and back on the job in record time. Publix, keep doing what you do! We appreciate your efforts during this difficult time. I look forward to many more pleasurable visits in the near future! Great Job!! read more

I love shopping at Publix and this one is the best of all. They have a few amazing cashiers that have been there for years. They have a great selection of produce and meats, and if they don't have it they will try to find it for you. I highly recommend the pharmacy, the pharmacist is really nice. This is one of my go-to stores since it is right near my job. The store is always super clean and well-kept. The employees are extremely helpful and kind. Publix will always reign as my number one grocery store. I usually come in during the afternoon if I need a snack or a quick lunch. Their pre-made salads always look and taste super fresh. There are so many choices as well! The olive bar is scrumptious... I always seem to go a little overboard with the olives lol. Ordinarily the subs and deli items are decent, but their Reuben sandwich is not one. Tasteless bread and corned beef, and no cheese at all. Also, this sandwich is supposed to be grilled or at least toasted. It was neither. The kraut is mixed with some other dressing which is the only thing I could taste, not really good at all. I wasn't expecting great, but edible would have been nice. Also ordered potato wedges which were absent for some reason. Lesson learned. From now on I'll order my sandwich from a sub place instead of a grocery store. read more

I was going to start this review with "I'm probably alone on this island" however, looking at the past reviews, maybe I'm not. Publix has always been a brand recognized with more than phenomenal customer service. I've heard, and shared, stories of unsurpassed acts of service. This trip was different. Today (4/29/2019) I went into this Publix to quickly pick up some OTC medicine. I found my medicine and proceeded to check out. I found a line with no one being checked out and the employee was standing idol at the register looking/ reading something. I put my purchase on the conveyor and stood there waiting. I wasn't acknowledged, looked at or anything. A bagger walked up and greeted me and mentioned to the register that she had a customer and she said "I know". After several moments the register finally put down whatever she was involved with, scanned my purchased, hit a few keys on the register and went back to whatever she was looking at. I paid, my receipt printed, the register ripped it of and shot her receipt wielding arm out my direction. I took my receipt, said "thank you" and not even a grunt from the register. Anyone that knows me knows that one of my biggest pet peeves is to go into a store/ restaurant and when I speak to an employee not get a response. Not to mention a transaction where you are taking my money and fail to speak or look at me. read more

Located just outside the Heathrow Country Club it's no wonder this is one of the nicer Publix stores in the Sanford/Lake Mary area. Definitely noticeably bigger than the other stores in the area. Aisles are much longer which means more selection. The layout is very similar to the Rinehart Road store with the bakery and deli on the right and produce in the back right corner. This is one of the rare Publix with a separate liquor store (why isn't there a listing for that on Yelp?) Parking at this place is a bit of a pain. Be careful when going down the rows because it's two-way traffic in each lane. Customers for the other shops and restaurants in this ritzy plaza will take spots at the Publix lot. Ugh. But anyway, if you like Publix you'll like this store. read more

Stopped by this Publix to pick up some snacks for the flights with my mom and while I wasn't doing a full shop, it gave me a good chance to look around and check some prices. Excellent looking and well organized produce section. Deli looked great. Frozen looked great. The two aisles I walked were clean and well leveled, looking completely stocked. Why not a perfect rating? It seems that Publix (not sure if just this one or all of them) cashiers are not permitted to point out to customers that they are exceeding the "10 item express line" number. So there I was in a queue behind a woman who had 18 items on the belt. Yep, I counted. And I gave her the evil eye. But there's nothing to be done about these people who think the rules do not apply to them. read more

Publix used to have a lotto "Where shopping is a pleasure." These days, Publix is where shopping is a pressure. Employees actually scream at customers, berate them and treat them with disdain. On top of that, it's the highest priced place to buy groceries. I found many products priced much lower at the local SuperTarget. For example, buying a six-pack of bottled Pepsi was actually cheaper per unit than using the occasional BOGO deal at Publix. The quality of produce at Publix keeps declining. We bought several heads of lettuce that were unusable due to black junk inside of each one. You can get better quality at a lower price when buying produce at Aldi. We even find organic produce there for less than the cost of regular produce at Publix. Then there's the complete apathy about letting people bring their dogs into the store. We often see them in the deli and around produce. I love dogs and have three of them, but I don't want someone else's pet dander on the food I buy. Quite honestly, we used to recommend Publix. Now it just sucks. read more

He said they didn't have my order so I showed him the email. His answer, "Someone must have picked it up". So from not having my order to someone else must have picked it up. Really great service. I frequent this Publix since I work behind it. Their store is always clean and well stocked. There are rarely any lines and I have gone all hours of the day to this location. I sent an email once to corporate due to an encounter I had with one of their cashiers and the manager contacted me and addressed it quickly. I was there just the other day and had a coupon for the 1 item I was buying and the older gentleman that was checking me out didn't really appear to have an idea of how to use the coupon so he called another employee over and said "deal with this". I think Bryson was his name...he came over and made light of the situation by saying "dealing with this", scanned my coupon, and saved the day. He made it less awkward and I left laughing. I gave this store 4 stars only due to their older cashiers who seem to not want to be there. My experiences with them are usually not the best. I think they much rather be at home napping. (me too...me too) I do have to say there is one gentleman that works there (not "older") but really tall, and sports the shaved head look, he is always super nice and friendly. I will have to get his name and edit my review for him. Hes always a pleasure to deal with. He should be the internal training of new staff! read more

I came to this Publix because the deli and prepared foods department provided great customer service over the phone. They took their time and answered any questions that I had for them. I needed to stay within budget to purchase food for an appreciation event for our volunteer staff, so I selected this Publix to assist me. So this review is very specific and not about the rest of the store but about their event center. I talked to two managers in the deli department; both were very friendly, upbeat and made my experience very easy. They asked questions to pinpoint what I needed and made a few recommendations. Our event consisted of over 80 people and I needed to purchase a variety of food items from various restaurant/food preparation businesses. Cece and Blake recommended to purchase the 96 piece chicken meal with 12 sides and 8 packages for $109.99. We set up a time and date for pickup and to meet at the Apron Event Planning Center. When I arrived my food items were ready at the Event booth and Pam assisted me. For a large order she assisted me very quickly and advised to drive my car closer to help with loading. All my food items were loaded into my car. I think I spent about 10-15 minutes for check out. I had no idea this event planning center existed and they were a great help. We plan to assist with another event and so I will see them again. Awesome customer service and made everything so much easier for me! read more

This is my neighborhood Publix that we shop every week spend $$$. I loved this Publix until today's experience. It's maybe nothing to everyone else but to me I thought it was very rude. Went in with my son to buy a few things and the sandwich he wanted to buy. We were on the line and I saw one of the lady getting a white bread from the plastic case they keep the bread but she threw that back in there and got a fresh ones from behind her. We both saw that and were saying wouldn't like it if whoever makes our sandwich with white bread from that case... hope we get the fresh fluffy ones... Michelle asked what we wanted so I told her Whole ultimate with white bread. She was getting the white bread which the other lady threw back in so I told her if she could use the fresh ones. She made a face but got the fresh one for us but she had to make a comment. "These are fresh too you know, we use these first then we bring ones from those on the shelf. Obviously the ones on the shelf was fluffy and looked fresh. But we saw the other lady didn't use them. Did she really have to say something to me? If I were her I would have just said "Sure of course" I was really upset at her and I just let my son to deal with that sandwich. When the lady made that comment, even the other Publix worker who was behind me waiting to Order made a face. Unfortunately this is the closest Publix from us so we will keep going back but I was very disappointed today!! read more

Clean, wide isles , larger than most Publix. A store, that, obviously caters to the affluent community of lake Mary and Heathrow. It would be nice if the economics of the community, didn't influence how much one store can differ from another depending on its location. With all that said, it's a lovely store. read more

The tag is attached to my reusable shopping bag. It has a bar code on it. Cashiers see it and freak the fuck OUT on me. Seriously. First time this happened, the woman was scanning my shit, took off the tag and threw it the fuck away! So, I asked her if she had a brain tumor for breakfast. When she stared at me as if she had, I asked her to get her manager. Manager retrieved my CVS Green Bag Tag from the trash, listened politely as I explained what happened, apologized, and finished ringing me up. Then it happened AGAIN! This time a bagger was getting all antsy, eyeballing the tag and asking the cashier, "Oh, aren't you going to ring up that shopping bag?" Do new Publix reusable shopping bags usually come with cat fucking hair on them?? Fortunately, this cashier didn't have a brain tumor for breakfast, though. Jeebus. Reusable shopping bag drama aside, their sub area is very hard to get to if you are handicapped and must use a scooter. Very annoying. The produce section here is lovely, though, and so is the bakery. read more

NOTE: Okay first off and this really gets under my skin. This is NOT the "Heathrow Publix". This is the Publix that is located near Heathrow. Heathrow is not more then a gated subdivision. Heathrow is NOT a city, town, or township, but a... "Heathrow is a census-designated place and an unincorporated suburban community in Seminole County, Florida, United States." as stated by wikipedia and MANY other sources. Shoot, It wasn't even there before 1985- I went to the ground breaking parade of models when it was being built. So, don't let the pretension of it being in "Heathrow" as there isn't even a Heathrow - anything more then a subdivision. Ha ha Don't be put off- there is nothing magical about this store except for its stellar bin, Organic, Vegetarian and Vegan delights. Check out the pink lentils, the adzuki beans, the veg. stick, the whole Organic oats at good price's too. There must be at least 20 bins...Whole Foods style, (at least in Co). You need to at least give it a try. The Parking is typically full- and there is not much more to the store as it is the bones of an Old Albertsons- from Years ago. There is a Publix Liquor store to the Left. Also, its in a great area. The promenade is good. Check out Menchies Fro yo (awesome) or for lunch walk down to Liam Fitzpatrick's Irish Restaurant & Pub. A Publix is a Publix is a Publix, right? Wrong. They adapt to their neighborhood. For example, in Miami, most Publixes have Latin foods right down to the chuleta cuts of meat and most of the canned goods being Goya or La Preferita. On Miami Beach, or in Coral Gables, with so much high-end competition, the stores have a raft of cheeses and olives and specialties ranging to genuine Beluga caviar. But this one is in Baldwin Park and it fits in just fine. The store is smaller than most Publix stores, but, like Baldwin Park, more friendly. And "more friendly" is tough to do in a Publix, where, in virtually any store you're almost -hounded- by the staff trying to help you find something. This store has less shelf space but has ample ethnic sections to give me the specialty spices I want. The deli has a traditional deli mix of items, but where its space runs tight, it tends to favor the Boars Head and Publix brands to the exclusion of others, and that's fine by me, as both are very well made. Frozen food, like any grocery, tends to be the biggest section but here, it's limited in size, which limits your frozen options a bit, but then, really. How many brands of frozen carrots do you need to choose from? We eat way too much pre-prepped junk in our lives and this Publix is doing me a favor. Fresh produce section is as big as any other Publix's, so there's nothing you'll miss out on, and more than most Publix stores, this one seems to have a less picked-over appearance. Access is easy enough if you live in Baldwin Park, or nearby, although the parking lot can fill pretty quickly. As a resident, I find it's handier to walk or take a Segway there, especially if I don't need too many items. Lots of folks come on bicycles as well. It's a neighborhood grocery with higher service levels of a very high-service chain. It's smaller than most and makes good choices about what it carries, choices that suit a relatively young and middle-to-high-end planned neighborhood in the heart of Orlando. This Publix matches its surroundings and meets the needs of its customers very well. What more could you want? :-) read more

I am appalled by the lack of assistance I received on 3/22/19. Not even assistance. Just the rudeness of your teenage employees. They had a walker thing in the water aisle. Two of them were speaking nastily about their dating endeavors. I'm 5'"2 and 120 lbs struggling with 5 24 packs of water while other customers are trying to navigate around me (which wouldn't be a problem if the walker thing wasn't in the way). I'm self-sufficient so I'm fine with not being offered help. However, when I'm the one who is "accused" of being the problem- that's where I have issue. Also, when I went back down the aisle to get some diet tonic water, a teenage employee ran in front of me and cut me off so he could get back to his friend to talk. It's just another Publix, but it is clean and has a decent parking lot. I did have a good experience when the Publix brand item I wanted was missing, and the manager apparently noticed that I was disappointed. He asked if I needed something, and he explained that the name-brands were 3x the price. He said that if they're out of stock, they'll give you the lower price on the name brand item. Good to know! Anyway, they have an ok produce and meat section, and I've had pretty good luck with finding better-quality foods here than at other Publix stores. It's hard to get all that excited about grocery stores, but it's good to know which chains are worth stopping in and which chains are worth passing by when you travel. Publix, is a store that almost never disappoints. I haven't met anyone that doesn't like their subs. This store is nestled next to a remarkable outdoor shopping center. The store's "Greenwise" section is almost a whole isle deep. There's a Publix Liquor store that offers up a great beer selection. Next time I'm in town over night I will once again stop in for dinner. read more
