This Establishment Has One Of The Best Tequila Selections Hands Down In Central Florida. The Employees Here Are Very Helpful And Insightful When It Comes To Finding Something That Best Suits Your Flavor Profile. Sam The Owner Is Super Knowledgeable When It Comes To Anything Tequila And Other Spirits As Well I'm Sure! To Top Things Off I Spotted A Couple Of Local Distillery Products On The Shelf! I Love When Local Businesses Support One Another. I Highly Recommend Stopping By If You're Ever In The Area. Five Star Liquor Is A Gem Waiting To Be Discovered!

The tequila I was accused of stealing. I had taken a photo of this bottle & a few others while inside to later do research to learn more.

WARNING TO WOMEN: I was accused of shoplifting on my first visit to this liquor store. They don't have a website to see the inventory before you go, so if you take too long (15-20mins) in their small space crammed with bottles, & have a purse, you will be told to leave & accused of stealing. If you'd like to know all the details of my experience continue to read... I have dealt with sexism before when I've gone to buy whiskey. I roll my eyes when the employee assumes I don't have the palate or acumen to know what I'm looking at. I am an avid connoisseur & I own a whisk(e)y tasting company, not that it should matter about how I am treated while shopping. A friend found this store last week & based on his rec, I made the 40+ min drive out there. I was even told I would hit it off with the owner of the store. Sadly, my experience was terrible. It is worth noting they DON'T HAVE A WEBSITE. Therefore all my browsing happened on the premises. The store is small/crammed & bottles are hidden behind one another. Also important to note that many of the bottles DO NOT HAVE PRICE TAGS. I picked up mult. bottles to flip to see if there was a price on the bottom or on the side. I also made sure I put each bottle exactly back where I found it as a conscious consumer should. At 6:00pm on Feb 13th, a friend(male) and I arrived in the store. The employee(m) was talking loudly to a customer(m) at the counter. The first thing we overheard was a story about how the previous day the kids of a 94-year-old woman who passed, came in & gave him $10,000. So the employee that received $10k for treating one client well, he is the reason this store has lost the potential revenue from myself/my clientele. The first 10 mins there, only one other customer came in, & they discussed the $10k gift story. When he left my friend bought a bottle of wine and the employee told him the $10k along with other life info. He also asked my friend if I was "his partner" which seemed odd, but the guy was a chatty individual. 15 mins into shopping a new man came in & was getting help with Titos. Close to the 20min mark, the man was leaving & 3 or 4 people entered the store. My friend walked over to me & said he would wait outside since we are COVID-19 cautious & respectful of social distancing. Before I could say give me 3 minutes the employee walked over to me. I had in my left arm a 12-year Cardhu box & in my right an Old Pulteney Liqueur bottle (both under $50). The employee said he didn't want to offend me & this was awkward, but I was in there for a long time. He then stated that I touched $300 bottles of tequila (which how was I to know they don't have price tags), & he rambled about people coming in with bags. I didn't realize he was accusing me of shoplifting until my friend point-blank asked him if he was. The furthest thing from my mind was thinking he thought I was a klepto. He then said he couldn't continue to watch me (didn't realize I was being cased the entire time), so I needed to buy something right then or leave because he was uneasy. He repeated himself and then pointed out that my friend bought only an $11 bottle and repeated he can't watch me with other people in the store so I needed to buy & leave or leave if I was offended. I was so thrown off by what was happening, I then tried to locate the bottle I grabbed the Cardhu box behind to put it back in its place & then the employee said to leave the bottle anywhere & go as he became even more frazzled. I sat the whisky on a barrel & we left. Shortly after leaving, my friend went back inside and returned the offensive only $11 wine. At first, when we left I felt so embarrassed & sad I brought him all the way over there, but now I am grateful because WTF?!? Also I have a witness to what transpired. LAST THING TO NOTE: There is no sign on the door that says no purses or "bags" & there isn't a sign stating a time limit upon entry.  The employee didn't ask a question to gain insight on why I was in there for 15/20 mins. Which still doesn't feel very long for my 1st time & how their store is crammed w bottles. My hair was pulled back, I didn't have a hat on, even with a mask I am well recognizable. Also, I was in there for almost 20 mins, my face is all over the cameras & if they don't have cameras they should invest if they are so worried about $300 bottles. I have dealt with sexism before but this was on another level. Maybe outside of a 94-year-old woman, if he has never seen a girl that knows the industry. Maybe he is suspicious of all women. Terrible way to retain customers & to expand their base beyond Sabal Point to accuse 1st-time customers of shoplifting. I hope other women/people have not had the same experience. The irony of it all is that when we walked in the 1st thing I heard was the employee self-promoting that due to his great customer service to a customer he was given $10,000. Wish I would have been given that same respect & customer service.

The prices for their glass products are amazing--affordable and of great quality. Despite spending a considerable amount in that section, the employee couldn't offer any discounts without the owner present, which is the only reason I didn't give this place five stars. If they advertise the smoke shop in the back, expand their collection, and add vape supplies and kits, I'm sure they would see great success! They are open until 12:00 a.m., later than most weekday liquor stores and smoke shops. The liquor store in the front has typical offerings and decent prices, even if they didn't have exactly what I was looking for. I tipped the employee generously for his patience, knowing he was eager to go home after a long day at work as we were there right up until closing time. I checked out their website before arriving and found out they deliver liquor store products so the 'party doesn't have to stop.' Definitely worth checking out. I highly recommend this place and will be back. Thank you!
