They always get the online sub orders wrong every single time. Disappointing and the orders are never made on time every single time. This is probably the worst publix in the south. The Fayetteville Publix is way better than this. The Hampton one is better. Mt Zion yall have to do better. read more

There's nothing like a good Publix run. However, this wasn't one of my better experiences. The Good: The store was vibrant and clean. Every shelf was stocked and as always, the good scents were coming from the bakery. There were ample sales going on so this was def a walk every aisle type of trip. LoL. Upon arriving at the checkout, the cashier and bagger were super friendly. The cashier greeted us and rang up our items. She thanked us for visiting and ended the transaction with a big smile. The bagger took time to bag the groceries with care and ensure nothing was squashed. He was very pleasant as well and ended our time with a pleasant "have a great day!" Clean store. Stocked shelves. And, great cashier and bagger service = An absolute WIN! Area of Opportunity: Before getting in the car we realized a few of the items didn't ring up what the sale price presented them as. Not a problem, we headed inside and went to customer service. Upon arriving at customer service, there was one lady ahead of us, however, there was no one behind the service desk... a few moments later, one of the staffers at the front advised the rep would be back shortly. 4 minutes later, another person came behind us, now bringing the line to 3 people. The Customer Service Manager peeked out from behind the door and the front staffer advised her that the rep would be back shortly as she went to the restroom. At this moment, opposed to taking ownership of the line, the CS Manager says ok and goes back to the back. Being a paying customer I was disturbed by this for a few reasons, 1) the lack of service provided by a person in a leadership role, 2) the fact that there is no coverage for an employee to go to the bathroom, 3) the fact that upon finding out that there was no one at the desk there was no acknowledgement of us who were in line. Wow! Though I am taken aback by this experience, I understand that it is not a representation of the entire store. However, this a direct reflection of a training opportunity that needs to be executed by Senior Management. read more

I ordered a sub paid for pick up @3pm, It said earliest pick up was @3:45 which was okay. I went in at 3:30 to wait and a manager asked me if I was waiting I said yes she told me "Wait longer you put pick up for 3:45" I was like that was my plan Then around 3:50 I walked up there to see if my sub was ready and another lady came out around 4 and said "Your going to have to just wait a few more moments" and I was like okay.. So I went over to the fountain drinks and none of them worked. Its now 4:45 an HOU after my pickup time and I'm still waiting. Theres people coming in getting subs within 10 mins and I'm still having to wait read more

I was getting some supplies before the next snowstorm, I must stay in general this is my least favorite publix but today the service at this was really great. There were a few things on the shelf that I needed that were not there. I asked a employee to check-in the back for me and they did so kindly and eagerly. All the staff encountered were pleasant and helpful. The store was actually well stocked considering how many people were in there. There were long lines, but almost every cash register was open so the line didn't actually take very long. I think my biggest problem with this Publix is the some of the people who come to shop there are rude or out of order, but it was a good day. This visit only one person was blasting music from his phone and no one was talking loudly on the phone or cursing. This Publix is in a convenient location so I will continue to stop in when I need something quick. read more

Publix Super Market at Mt. Zion is a supermarket chain with a wide selection of groceries, plus deli and bakery departments. As this is my nearest Publix location, so I do my regular household shopping here. The customer service is very friendly and always helpful. Their is plenty of free parking in front of the store. The place is kept clean and neat. I never saw anything out of stock. I would highly recommend this location for your shopping too. read more

I like this Publix Supermarket located in Morrow. The times I've been there the store is clean and organized. I especially like the deli department. There's a sweet older lady with a beautiful accent that works behind the counter. She always warmly greets. The first time I went she patiently answered my questions about deli meat which I don't eat often. I appreciated her suggestions on turkey and ham that's minimally processed and tasty. They became my favorites. She slices them perfectly. Overall good shopping experience every time. I recommend this location for your grocery shopping needs. read more

This is the woest Publix I've ever been to. They are incredible slow and the workers just stand around. Literally got 20 ppl in line and they aren't opening up any registers. Please invest in self check out so I can get out faster. read more

Jake The Grocery Manager is the worst. Instead of doing his job he confronts a customer whom he doesn't know because I put oatmeal cookies next to Krispy Kreme Donuts and ask me in an aggressive tone what I did with the cookies after looking at me with them in my hand and walking past him after him coming down the chips aisle after spotting me but never said anything until I come back that I should have given it to him instead of playing Hide and Seek with the Cookies. I intelligent said you could have also said I can take these back for you as well when you looked dead at me. Unprofessional and needs retraining. Imagine if he talks to customers like that he probably a lot worst with employees. He has made me uncomfortable shopping at this location. read more

My go-to grocery store because it's the closest to my house. I love the selection here but it's not always the best. I find a lot of expired items and not just a day or two, but months! Some employees work hard to restock shelves and others stand around on their phones. Expect a long line when trying to order a sub after 4pm and online ordering doesn't make it any quicker! The store is typically clean otherwise! read more

This location is always busy...they have great customer service, but today my review is about the loud smell of seafood perfuming upon entrance. I generally, don't smell seafood throughout the store..today was a different story. I like the fact, they always have a police standing somewhere near the entrance. read more

So everytime I come in here I get sub sandwiches. They have the best but having to wait in line for an hour is ridiculous. So I decided to order online, that was even worse you select your pick up time and when you get there it's a line for online orders. If this location can't handle the demands of making sandwiches for instore or online orders they shouldn't until they enough help. So placing a deli order online for pickup is supposed to be the quicker option, right? Wrong. Expect to wait half an hour to an hour after the ETA listed before getting your order. I don't think they even check the online orders since they seem more focused on fulfilling just the walk up orders (whose lines basically wrap around the rope which is why I opted for ordering online in the first place). This is so frustrating since I enjoy shopping at this location. The deli just needs a lot of work. read more

The man that stated that Publix only put two slices of meat on a sub is lying you get .38 or more on a sub that's over a 3rd pound of meat and in Georgia you get four tenders for tender weigh a lot on a sub so I don't know where he got his sub, but I couldn't have been publix deli!!!! he probably was trying to get something customized, which have to put on according to cost of product if it's customize And He probably had other ingredients on it along with the 2 slices of meat , which means you still only get a equivalent to .38 nothing more unless you pay for the extra meat or product. sub toppings on bar included except specialty toppings or condiments there will be a fee. read more

The deli line was one of the slowest I've ever seen at a Publix location. The guy behind the counter was having a bad day and he didn't know what I meant by saying I wanted 1.25 pounds of chicken fingers... somehow he knew what 1.50 aka 1 1/2 pounds of chicken fingers were though so I got that instead ‍ I was really confused why he didn't know what I meant by saying 1.25 pounds of chicken fingers. The other employees seemed very happy and intelligent though. Police were very present here today Saturday July 13, 2019 because this location is in a black community and it's not always safe around here. read more

I have fond memories of this Publix when I lived here years ago. Last week I walked in trying to get a deli sandwich at 2pm and line was nearly at the front door so I left. I still had a major craving today so went at 8pm. I was 3rd in line and there were 2 sandwich makers, both very slow and no urgency. I could tell they were ready to go home, very disheveled, paper wrappers everywhere and food containers out. My sandwich guy was ok but he was whispering grievances under this breath & busy talking to his coworkers. I ordered a buffalo chicken tender sandwich but he had to run back for 3 items, also I had to remind him to add my buffalo sauce, there was no bottle for it so he ask if he could pour from the liter container, which was fine. After the 30 minute wait I then had to go to the cashier line which there was another long wait. Went to my car to eat the sandwich but it was all soggy and soaked that it instantly broke apart and on top of that, it was not good. Craving not satisfied! My friend who works in the industry told me customer satisfaction goes down in the evenings when the general manager is not there. This was not a great experience and would either just go in the am or avoid if I can. read more

The 5 stars is strictly for deli department. The rest of the store 3-4 stars due to the layout being awkward and cashiers not being great. The deli staff is great, Roderick in particular. He did everything in his power, one hour before closing to ensure we were satisfied. He made us feel welcome and did not rush us. He deserves a promotion! I will be returning to the deli! read more

Lines at the deli counter are always long. If you don't order ahead via their app, you'll wait 30+ minutes. If you do order via their app, your food still won't be ready. You'll have to ask about you order and still have to wait several minutes while they work on the orders of customers in line. Infuriating. Likely the worst store in the Publix system. read more

As I'm writing this, I'm still in line waiting for my sub I ordered 90 minutes ago online. It was scheduled to be ready for pick up at 5:20. I know how poor the quality is so I gave them an extra 15 min so the sub would be ready for an easy pick up. However, it's not 6:10 and I'm still waiting on an update for why my sub isn't ready. It's ridiculous how you can plan ahead and still have to wait longer for a simple online order of a sandwich to be made. read more

My family has found that the sandwiches / subs made at this Publix are really, really good. This deli is good enough to rival any of the other mainstream "sub" competitors on the street. It's almost "routine" to bring home a sub as part of the weekly shopping trip. And I have an idea why their sandwiches are good: staff clearly like each other. They laugh with each other. They pour that fun into their work, and I think that's what shows in their sandwiches. So yeah, it's a Publix. And yeah, you can grab a few other things while you're there to turn your sub into a picnic. read more

Purchased cupcakes for my granddaughter birthday party on 1/29/2023. Picked the cupcakes up about 1pm on 1/29/2023 and the cupcakes were so stale. On top of that they messed up the writing we requested and wrote what they wanted. The cupcakes were suppose to be in the form of a 3. It looked like they gave up forming the three and boxed up the other 5 of 24. I won't use them again and don't suggest them to anyone. read more

WHEAT BREAD TURKEY SUB WITH OIL, Vinegar, onions, spinach, black olives, provolone cheese, banana peppers, jalapeños peppers, black pepper, and Oven Gold Turkey or jerk turkey . ~BOTH ARE FABULOUS~ There is a lil lady who makes ALL HER SUBS WITH LOVE. This is the ONLY Publix in Clayton County. Stopped by to pick up a chicken tender sub to eat later. Both the deli and the cashier lines were long. However, the store was clean and there are seats where you can sit down and eat. Also lots of available parking. There is also a SunTrust Bank for those looking to bank and shop at the same time. read more

I usually frequent this Publix for my lunchtime sushi since I can see it prepared fresh while I wait. Most times when I arrive at the sushi fridge, most of my california rolls are usually gone so I'm the lucky one that gets the good stuff! LOL The rolls are really good for "grocery sushi" but I wish that the packs would come with more soy sauce. This Publix is usually great because of it's location (right off I-75), but it's a bit of a maze getting in and out of this parking lot if you're not familiar with it. read more

This review is simply to highlight the exceptional customer service I received from Kirby in the Deli depart today. She truly went above and beyond in preparing my chicken tender sandwich, especially with all my customized request. Kirby was friendly, patient and kind, all while offering tremendous customer service. I'd wait in that line and visit this specific Publix again simply to have Kirby prepare my sandwich. I wish more employees were as kind as she is. Oh & the Banana Pudding they offer also in the deli section tastes like homemade. read more

I visited Publix on Mount Zion Road to ask about getting some boxes for a move. I encountered a short stocky African American man with dreadlocks and an accent who identified himself as a manager. I told him that I needed to get some boxes. He paused and looked like a deer in headlights and stated oh, we do not have any boxes. (How would he know....he did not go and look.) I immediately felt push back and I knew he was lying. He just did not want to take the time to assist. There was a lady stocking items near him. He said talk to Star, she can help you. As a matter of fact, Star will have you some boxes ready on tomorrow. Star acknowledged she would have the boxes waiting for me the next day. She said come tomorrow after 1pm. I came at 3:00pm and I approached a young lady and informed her that I was there to pick up boxes that Star had for me in the back. The young lady went into the back and came back to advise that there were no boxes in the back for me. I told her about the encounter I had with Star and the manager (I described him to her and she knew exactly who I was talking about.) The young lady went back to speak to the manager and the manager told her Oh, we got rid of those boxes this morning...... Can someone please help me with this. Can you be that LAZY!!!! He said whatever he needed to get me to go away. How could you get rid of boxes early in the morning that Star was saving for me to pick up after 1pm. I called to speak to Star the next day and she apologized and stated she would have the boxes for me the next day as promised. Note: it was very difficult to get Star on the phone and when she did answer it was as if she was trying to see who it was before she started talking. You know like....is this the lady calling to ask about the boxes. The next day, I thought....you better call before you go to the store. I called and was passed from one person to another, to another, to another, to another, to another....then they said Oh, Star is not working today. By this time, I guess she knew who was calling so she told them to tell me she was not working. All these years, I have had so much respect for Publix...I have spent thousands of dollars in their stores and this is all the respect they can give to their customers..... The only thing they care about is you spending money and revenue. Star, I want to thank you and your sorry manager for your outstanding customer service.
