Dined in and visited for the first time last Sunday, in the late afternoon. It was not very crowded to my surprise, so I was seated right away. I ordered a king claw boil; it was fresh. It's been while we returned because we saw the place on viral mode and needless to say....it wasn't hittin! Came on a Tuesday morning wait place was dead. $2 margarita tasted every bit of $2. I choose the King claw seasoning in medium heat level. And I will say it was really good. My partner had the boil that has lobster tail (can't remember the exact name). He said it was great. Stopped in at lunchtime before a doctor's appointment. They had pretty much just opened up, so they weren't crowded at all. I sat at the bar. It is awkwardly set up if you ask me.... I discovered the bartender couldn't see me, why he overlooked me and when it was time to serve me, he had to reach around and lean in to hand me my drink and food. Now the bartender was amazing, want take that from him. He quickly corrected my problems and let me have his amazing writing pen. I ordered a shrimp and sausage bag.... it states corn and potatoes included and made no mention of boiled eggs ans ordered some, he quoted 1ea., turned out to be 2ea., get my bag and it had eggs in it already, along with the ones I ordered and discovered I was for the ones I ordered and charged extra for the ones that came in the bag(hope making sense lol). I quickly brought it to the bartenders attention and he fixed it with no questions asked. As for the ambiance, it's your normal seafood(boil) restaurant aesthetic, nothing special if you've seen one you've seen them all. I have to say, I have a extra sensitive nose to smell, so I will say it had a faint sour smell around where I sat at the bar, probably a simple fix of changing out cleaning rags and water, or make sure all spills are cleaned up and dried with a clean rag, nothing worth me needing to leave. I had a lemon drop(it was cool) and my shrimp and sausage bag was fine. I'm not a boiled bag kind of girl, so going in I thought it was a full seafood type of menu spot. What I saw on the menu is fried and bag seafood. I was wanting some baked or broiled fish. Stopped by on a Saturday afternoon. Don't let the outside distract you! Inside is nicely done with a large bar with seating area, tables by outlets if you need to plug in, and dining areas for large and small groups. As the name implies King Claw serves all kinds of seafood. They have steamed options with different sauces by 1/2 LB increments. I had the 1/2 LB shrimp with KC sauce which was delicious and filling. The seasoned fries were great as well. Service was a bit slow, but that's everywhere these days. Happy hour Monday-Friday as well as drink specials on the weekend. Our first time the service started out ruff but they ended up getting together!! Our second visit was much better. The only difference was the catfish was cooked way too hard and not as good as the first visit. The seafood boils are always on point !! The atmosphere is very nice , a tad bit too cold , the margaritas could use some improvement and the women's bathroom was not as clean . I personally came here on a Wednesday night casually as it's not too far from my home. We dine in we were sat almost immediately the restaurant was not busy on this day that we happened to patron. I ordered a bag I had to cluster shrimp three eggs in an additional corn. It's a dollar per egg and I believe a dollar per corn as well. I didn't inquire the drink specials as I normally do so I cannot comment on the bar drinks. We ordered a calamari appetizer it didn't have a lot of calamari on the dish. And most importantly my seafood was super salty. Everything in my bag was SALTYYYYY which was confusing because I got garlic butter mild. There was no reason for my food to be a salty as it was to the point that I did not want to consume it. My sister said hers wasn't salty until the next day as she took hers home and she tried to eat it and she realized she got to the bottom of her bag that everything was immersed in salt. We decided to try a new seafood place since Juicy Crab is giving nasty attitudes. The parking is perfect and it wasn't busy. They even have karaoke nights on Thursday and adult nights on Fridays. The server for us was Bash, service was amazing. We waited probably 15 minutes to be seated. The ambiance was nice, sports on the tv, food came quickly too. We were looking to try a new spot for seafood boils. Unfortunately, we were disappointed. The prices are higher than they should be ($5 for 3 boiled eggs; $30 for a fish bowl of well liquor). I went on a random Wednesday for my sisters birthday and they had margaritas on sale which were so good.
