I needed to grab a few items from the store, so I decided to check out Publix. Publix is that store that I always find myself spending extra time roaming down each aisle! Not due to it being packed, just me wanting things that aren't on my list:) This store has great finds. Plenty of food to load up your buggy!! The shelves are stocked, the store is clean and so far customer service has been really great. Now, parking can get very hectic at times, so I guess it depends on the time you go. Publix can be kinda pricey, but I have come across some great deals and sales lately. Great location and shopping environment. read more

This isn't a great Publix. Publix is always a good bit more expensive than other grocery stores, but this one seems to be exorbitantly expensive, even in comparison to other Publix locations. The store itself is also pretty small, and the selection of items and merchandise isn't great. It's not terrible per se, but I would choose other grocery stores, as well as Publix locations, instead. read more

This Publix is generally fine. I am giving it two stars, the "could have been better" review because the parmesan chicken breasts sold in the meat department were awful. The chicken was really a rubber chicken. I know it was not overcooked as i used an instant meat thermometer. I will be passing on that product in the future. read more

Bring from Florida it is so nice to see a Publix back on the street corners. I have missed the standard of care and the wonderful customer service - even here in Columbia , where I feel has probably the worst vs any city I have lived in. We frequent here quite a bit , they have the recycle containers outside , which I love. Still most places are refusing to recycle because of covid. They have PubSubs! The 2nd day we were here - we ordered one for lunch. Their cakes are amazing - have purchased two since living here and haven't been disappointed yet , although a lady I bumped into at the store stated she prefers the Forrest Acres Baker over Rosewood. DELI - customers advised: don't use the app to order food from the deli as the kinks have yet to be worked out as of November 13, 2020. I've tried nine times and FIVE out of the nine times rendered me NO FOOD and completely frustated and HANGRY! the people in the deli are 'nice' and the food is 'good' but the lines are long and the lining up is always confusing, so with great optimism I have repeatedly tried ordering in advance, paying in advance, and in a perfect world my sandwich would be made in advanced and ready to go, but as I've said, 5 out of 9 times NO GO and a complete waste of time. walking out of a crowded grocery store with less money than i had previously and no FOOD. blargh !!! read more

This is your typical Publix. It's nice and clean the staff are pretty friendly and you can find what you need. Parking here sucks! There are a few other stores on the side but Publix's main parking lot is not large enough to handle the crowd they usually have on Sunday's. Other than that great store and location. read more

Subs are usually great but the deli workers can't seem to read sometimes - how is my online sub order 45 minutes late sometime? Especially with nobody in line. I could have gotten hired, trained, and made everybody's sub in line in the time it took them to make 1 sub. Then other times, no issues. Very hit or miss but they need to fix that. read more

I love this Publix! The shelves are always stocked and well organized and produce section is really fresh! The meat, seafood, and produce people are so so nice and always happy to answer questions and give recommendations! The sandwich meat/ cold cut area is kind a hot mess though. The isle isn't very wide so it can get extremely congested, and the people behind the counter are rather slow in helping people, which leads to more crowding. All in all, a great Publix though! And I swear they have the best samples (important info when choosing a grocery store!) read more

I have never seen such flagrant disregard to our public health crisis anywhere. In spite of announcements periodically to observe social distancing /following direction signs, few customers were following this directive. More people were not wearing masks than were. People disregarded the signs and entered rows however they wanted. One lady passing me in the wrong direction without a mask, sneezed loudly right as we passed one another. Managers should go and observe the protocol that is being followed at Whole Foods. I love Publix, but I will not return until if/when the COVID 19 is no longer a threat. read more

A small store, sure, but helpful employees who in my experience know where everything is. Plus a diverse crowd of shoppers like in other cities where I've lived. 2 checkout clerks recognized customers by name the last time I shopped here. read more

I love the branding and general feel of Publix, though I think the groceries are generally overpriced and the store doesn't offer many deals. However, the cakes are delicious! We got a birthday cake for my grandmother's 99th birthday here, and she loved it. It was exactly what she wanted. read more

They never have any of the sale items in stock, and that's if they carry it at all. Aisles so small you bump into customers constantly. Odd layout. Still has that Clean Publix Look but I'm always frustrated when I shop here. I'm much happier at the one off Forest Drive or even Gervais. read more

I've never had a bad experience here. The store is clean, staff is friendly, and the selection is good. They even have a handy pharmacy. I typically come here once or twice a week and can get in and out without much hassle. It's a rare day the lines are very long at all, which helps keep everything moving. read more

This is my favorite grocery store in Columbia. Almost every time I come they have a person handing out delicious samples. The bread is extremely fresh and delicious, and same with the baked goods. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I love the fact that they will help you with your groceries to your car. I love this not for me but for elderly or handicap people who actually need help carrying things to the car. The deli section at times can have a pretty long line but it's not too bad. The people that work the deli meat and cheeses are very helpful and will let you sample anything if you're trying to decide what to get. They also do a lot of fundraisers for people with special needs which is very sweet. This place is great! read more

Super friendly staff, good selection of food stuffs, parking is easy to get in and out. Prices can be a bit high on some things (meat), but the store brand and sale prices are just fine. They have specialty things I want, a variety of hummus, olive tapenade, naan and the like. The highlight for me: Fresh Sushi with white or brown rice and they'll make something while you wait if there's something in particular you're looking for. I less than 3 that so much. read more

Wow, just stopped in for something I need for dinner a couple of days ago. This place really packs a LOT of variety in every aisle! I couldn't get over how clean & fresh everything looked. I found lots of ingredients I've been searching for and plenty more for inspiration. The salads look amazing enough to keep me on my diet happily (I am NOT usually thrilled by a salad.) Staff were very friendly. While the store is not large the selection displayed beats any other market around. Gonna have to try it out for our regular monthly shopping soon. read more

I don't know why this place is always highly rated. This used to be my go to place and I would defend it when people talk about how high the prices are (and they are very high) but I can't defend it anymore. The bogos are great but that is it. If you go in there for routine grocery shopping you will leave minus an arm and hopping on one leg. Also, the selection isn't that great. It is always crowded so maybe I don't see what others see. This is one of the smaller Publix. Customer service is great and they have a wide variety of products.

The cashiers are so nice. And if they don't have the item I'm looking for they always give me a raincheck. I prefer publix than any other grocery store. read more
