Heading back south from the Boca area and needing to pick up a few groceries, we decided to cross the county line first before we stopped. We figured it would be a bit cheaper than in Boca. As many times as we've been in this shopping center for all the other stores, restaurants, and the theater, we have rarely been in this Publix. Lately I haven't been shopping much at Publix. But we figured this particular store wouldn't be too expensive. Well, we were wrong. Prices here were just crazy. The three stars are because they do have a lot of goods and it's clean and neat. I know eggs have gone up price wise in the last week or two, but their prices were nuts. Because we were here already, we did get a few necessities. And a bread I wanted had a long shelf life -- even though it was about $2* more than what I paid elsewhere just last week. Unfortunately, this is my closest Publix and today I witnessed the manager come out, screaming at a man who was trying to sell candy bars. I understand you can't allow loitering outside of a business, however, you can treat a human with decency to explain you can't allow it to go on. In the process a little 11-year-old boy was defending the man that she was yelling at wrongly and she started screaming at this child with many other customers present. Truly unbelievable and can't imagine how she treats customers let alone her employees. Honestly was super disheartening to see and other customers also witness the interaction so it doesn't look so good for the establishment. read more

Made at stop at this Publix to get some seltzer water. They had the La Croix 12 packs....buy 2 get the third free. I was able to get a variety of flavors. The store seemed a bit smaller than other Publix stores, but it was clean, well organized and the staff was friendly. Got some spices on the way to the register as well. read more

Lets start this off that, I am Native American. I've been a customer to Deerfield's Publix Deli for quite some time and I have to say my interaction for the first time will be the last if this is not dealt with. I ordered a sub ahead to pick up and there was already a long line of people, of course the two people in the front just have to be fucking around ordering all these things instead of ordering ahead, so I waited, wasnt much of an issue as i know how customers can be, however this isnt about a customer, but rather an employee who was eyeing me from the hot food counter, I thought to myself maybe hes waiting for me to ask him for help so i went over to him. Nicest and clearest way i asked "I made an order ahead for a sub, under my government name(usually i put an alias name because i can not trust people with my official name)" the deli employee had this grin, a grin you just cant forget, a grin with malicious intent, proceeds to smile up in my face and mispronounce my name. I thought ok maybe he didnt hear me so i repeated myself, AGAIN he mispronounces it again, and he didn't stop once, he proceed to mispronounced it two more times before i yelled "YEA WHATEVER" and I never try to be rude to these deli employees cause their lives are already hard enough, but him, that boy, tried me with this foolishness. To make this interaction just worse, second he couldn't find my sub that i ordered a whole 30 minutes ago the entire time i was in the store, he then goes to the older fat idiot deli worker that was working on another sub, proceed to say an even WORSE pronunciation of my name to him, AND LAUGH!! They both start giggling like two retarded middle school boys, and the old idiot goes to mispronounce my name to the CUSTOMER INFRONT OF HIM!! Saying it out loud, and i felt so belittled, i wanted to cry in that line, while they laugh it up in-front of my face, i wanted to truly die right there. The dumb boy finally finds my sub and it was cold as well, wasn't toasted like i had asked. I yanked the sandwich out his hand and marched my way to customer service to make a complaint, nearly crying at the counter explaining how i feel so wronged. This is what my people have to go through all these years? This is what we have to deal with? White idiots who take us as jokes? Who think our names are the butt of a joke? To any Native if you want to order PLEASE DO NOT! USE YOUR REAL NAME! They will mock you as if we haven't been through enough. I really believe I would never have to be such a rude individual to the deli workers but the damage is done, and by next interaction I will not be having them make my food no longer, or even shopping there read more

This review is for the sandwiches made at the deli counter. They are consistent with the quality and the way they're made. The on time efficiency is also very good. This trip I had the Bohr's Head Ham custom made with just about everything and it hit the spot. The bread was fresh and all the veggies and ham tasted great. Expect to wait a good 10-15 minutes if you go during lunch or dinner. Best to order ahead on their app. read more

This is the one Publix that always makes we wonder how is this place part of the Publix Grocery Store chain... nothing at this location ever seems right. I wrote a review years ago, about the same issues; so why come back... well, simply put, it's still better than Walmart and the location sure is convenient. Not unusual to wait in line to check out and as you patiently wait, you wonder "why" is it taking so long... I've had one cashier snacking on gummy bears while ringing up my groceries. I mean, do you really think I want you finger DNA from loading those delicious candies into your mouth. A couple times, I had a cashier texting in between customers and when my turn comes I just look at them dumbfounded. This was my issue years ago, but I guess management just doesn't think it's a big deal. I admired in shock these two employees stocking shelves while they both had a bag of chips (or cookies). It's not all bad; I'll give them credit for the store being clean and the Pharmacy at this store is excellent. read more

Ahh, another Publix review. This location is not as nice as the others. I can't find what I am looking for each time I come here. Because the store is small, they don't have the selection and variety the other stores have. Take spaghetti sauce for example. I couldn't find the Prego or the Ragu flavors I like. Their inventory is limited due to the space they have. The deli department people don't have a lot of patience & I also don't find them particularly good in helping customers. I often leave disappointed and usually wind up going to another Publix for the items I need. I get very frustrated shopping here, so I try to only come here if I can't wait and need something immediately. I guess I would be more understanding if I saw the employees make some sort of an effort. In my opinion, they seem to be making efforts to text and chat with each other instead of interacting with the customers. Just my opinion. On so many levels, this Publix does not even come close to others in the area. Located on the SW corner of Powerline and Hillsboro. Huge shopping center with a ton of stores. We have given this publix deli and we are angry more than happy. A. Went in and asked for a cheese steak. Lady said "we dont make that, only whats on the menu. So i ask for the store mgr. Said" i will be right back i have to go to my car to order my sub". Apologies yet i feel empty promises. Today wife calls to order lunch meat and some cheese. I arrived 10 minutes after our pick up time and of course wasn't in the cold case. "I dont have your order" im told. Gave the deli mgr our verification #. After 20 minutes of the Deli insinuated my wife and i were crazy, the paper order was found on the floor. Never in my life would i ever think in my head..screw publix..Wal-Mart is next door. This store is clean and welcoming. I came here to grab a couple of missing ingredients I needed for my dinner. I also grabbed a cold sub for my lunch tomorrow. Nadege, the woman who made my sub, was polite and efficient. She made one of the most beautiful subs I've seen in a while at a Publix! It also tasted magnificent. It's hard getting good help in a deli for most grocery stores but she was exactly what you'd expect in an employee. The excellent customer service doesn't end there because when I checked out with my few items on a Sunday, I was met with long lines with full baskets. No biggie, I understand. But I saw customer service was empty and checked out there since I only had 6 items. Wesly was very accommodating and helped me quickly. He's also a diligent, hard-working employee. One of my favorite things about this particular Publix is the friendly employees. I truly hope they're recognized the way they should be. Thank you both for a wonderful experience with something I will occasionally consider a chore... unless I'm shopping at this Publix, of course. read more

Publix is a nice clean Super Market. They have a great Produce department and one of the best delis in town. They have very clean restrooms. Publix Bakery is filled with delicious breads, cakes, pies, and cookies. Everything you need to create a wonderful meal is for sale in Publix. It's one of the best grocery stores in town! read more

I want to give a shout out to Publix at Deerfield Mall! I've been very vocal about my dissatisfaction with their cakes for Brenton and Noah's events in the past. Well corporate reached out and asked me to give them one more chance. Sheldon and Albert, manager and assistant, did a great job. My cake turned out beautiful. It's telling that this is the closest Publix to my house, and I refuse to go here. Every time I forget how awful it is and I try it again, I am failed without question. In the past I've tried multiple times to put in deli orders in advance through the Publix website. The order is never even started before the time I'm told to come pick it up, so I have to wait even longer than I normally would if I was just showing up. They constantly complain that they're too busy. Seems like incredibly poor management. Another time I bought a box of crackers, and when I got home I noticed they were expired by a few months. When I tried returning them to this location, I was told that they aren't allowed to accept expired food (apparently they're still allowed to sell it to me!?!). Maybe they've been burned a lot by unscrupulous people who return things for no good reason, but that was the last straw. As a reminder, the Publix return policy is: "If for any reason your purchase does not give you complete satisfaction, the full purchase price will be cheerfully refunded immediately upon request." A warning to any potential shoppers, this location does not honor this policy. There is no cheer to be found at the Powerline and Hillsboro Publix. They're fresh out of stock. read more

Were it not so close to home I would not choose to visit this Publix location at all. While the size of the store and the product selection is decent, I really get annoyed by the rude customers, long lines and mediocre service found here. I hope the management of this location takes notice and makes a concerted effort to change some things. The only Publix which I cannot stand. The cashiers are rude, and refuse to honor the correct prices. The other day an item I purchased was bogo and the cashier told me I was incorrect. I had to wait in line 15 minutes for customer service to get my money back. They only hire cashiers who don't speak English at this location. Oh yes, and don't forget to check your items before you leave the cashier area. They always "forget" to pack your stuff - several times I've gotten home and have to return to the store to get my items back, for example my $8.00 grapes! But if you're a minority they kiss your behind. I've already made a call to Publix corporate regarding their customer service. read more

This location needs improvement. It is such a busy location but they don't have a great employees. Don't bother asking for help, you probably won't get it. I've never seen a Publix with such horrible customer service. We have had many cakes thay are incorrect from the bakery, food that we bought go bad quuckly. When I first saw the rating here, I thought, "Wow! Why is this place rated so low?" Perhaps it's because the other reviews are over two years old. I've been here a few times, and I haven't had any problems. The cashiers are super friendly, and Publix has everything in stock that I want (and there is usually a sale, too!) The only downside about this location (and pretty much every Publix location that I know of) is the one way parking. I'm not sure why I don't like it...but I just don't. read more

Called at 7:39 to place an order to pick up two subs at the deli so I could run in quick. Was put on hold for 10 minutes "transferred to the deli " twice and then someone else answered and took the order. Got to the deli 15 minutes later when I said I'd be there, was ignored by a couple of the employees then told my subs were waiting. The two subs said meatball after I ordered chicken tenders and then waited until 8:20 to receive my new hopefully correct sandwiches after they continued making others sandwiches while putting mine off. Horrible customer service and why would I call in an order to wait a told of half an hour??? Rude and ridiculous. read more

I really like this store. The pharmacist, Dr. Sharon is excellent. So is her assistant Michael. Really clean and usually have what I want. I'm new to Deerfield Beach but so, far so good. My husband also likes the store. I recently talked with Joe in customer service about having Sweet Leaf mint and honey tea (the best) and he assured me it will be there, so I'm a happy camper. I don't get why it's gotten low scores... Someone here mentioned the rude customers..I actually saw this one day...A woman and 3 others were walking SLOWLY in the middle of the parking lot right where the cars drive...I could not believe how slow they did this...and all they had to do was pull over to the side where cars were parked. There was 3 of these women and one was clearly handicapped with a cane...but what difference would it have made. There also was a young guy store attendant walking with them. I think he should have suggested they move closer to the parked cars and out of the road... (but he was young, so) anyway, when I got parked, I said something to one of the 3 women that it was kind of rude to do that and was she aware there were THREE cars waiting for them for quite a while. She said "oh well, we probably should have moved over, but they didn't" I could not believe this... just plain selfish, I thought...but I'm from Maryland....never saw anything like that there. This is the WORST Publix you could ever go to. The employee lady named Joanna or Joanne is the most most CONDESCENDING, RUDE and ARROGANT. I will NEVER be back at this Publix ever again!! I had an issue and instead of Joanna or Joanne handle it with professionalism and care for the place that she represents as an employee, she completely destroyed the image that I had for what Publix is, because I can compare. I usually visit the Publix on LightHouse Point and its most pleasurable shopping experience anyone could ever had, ALL the employees you come across are so genuinely willing to help and to make sure you spend your money happy and because you had a happy experience, you will come back. Unfortunately, this is not the case at this Publix in Deerfield Beach. NEVER AGAIN. You do a great job at making sure this Publix supermarket looks really bad and gets awful reviews Joanna. Publix has great chicken to pick up for dinner when you go home after work ,but I noticed the past few times that I've been getting chicken from this Publix at this location it has been extremely dry to the point it was so overcooked that I could not eat it. Very disappointed because Publix chicken is really good , now I would preferred to get Boston market chicken or Winn-Dixie ,target or even pollo but I don't think I'll pick up chicken from there again. read more
