In a word: disappointed. This all kosher market went through an expansion and facelift in the recent past. Now more than 3x the size of its former self, the aisles are overflowing with food stuffs including kitchen items like aluminum broiler pans and napkins and paper cups - what makes them kosher I do t k ow but clearly others do. Made the mistake of shopping here while hungry. Bought too much food and spent an obscenely high amount. Two Cornish hens at $48.50 was absurd. While the smashed potatoes with fried onions were delicious, the green beans were soggy and inedible. Oat bran muffins and banana nut muffins were unimpressive and starting to get that stale taste. New York style egg salad must have used a recipe from a New York other than the one I grew up in. It was tasteless. Tossed it. $11 for 1/4 head of romaine lettuce was sinful. What justified that price is unknown to me. Even if it were flown in from Israel on a kosher airplane and only handled by those who kept kosher, it was unjustified. Their soups were delicious. Terrible service. No one wants to work. No staff at bakery for 12 minutes wih people waiting. Then the "manager" Matt was rude disrespectful and just left in the middle of pretending to address this situation to talk to another customer. I traveled an hour to purchase items and was treated like garbage. Oh, they park their truck in a handicap spot and the driver just didn't care about the disabled person that needed to park there. Well a few years ago I promised I would never go back there based on their grossly overpriced okay quality food .but being hungry could get you in trouble so I stopped by and buying stuff without checking prices .one tiny slab of chicken was $10.66. Some mushrooms and green beans and lo mein we're grossly overpriced too besides the lo mein was kind of mushy.. Check out the picture of the napkin that I got with the plastic utensils.. I have toilet paper that's thicker than that.. you would think for the prices they would get high quality plastic and paper products. May I also mentioned that I wanted to wash my hands before I ate anything there ..you would not believe that BOTH bathrooms women and men did not have soap in the soap defenser on the walls!!... UNBELIEVABLE..they were both empty.. and when I told the two ladies sitting in a room across from the bathroom they rudely told me to go all the way up to the front and speak to the manager rather than just giving me some soap since I was there (yes the managers desk was at the other end of the :store!) No longer the only game in town. Sometimes a fairly decent compliment to their competition. Need to watch prices and know which establishment is offering the better value. Prices are high and getting higher. (Still a Shanda!). Sales are rare and helpful to the outrageous bottom line. More promotions are needed. Good bakery. Wonderful hand sliced nova. Good soups, albeit a little too salty. Wish they had a real deli. Great prepared options, but a second mortgage may be necessary to feed a big family. read more

There is nothing but price gouging at this market and taking advantage of those of us that try and eat kosher. My husband by mistake bought two packages of gluten free challah. Each package has two pieces, the cost $14.99 per package. He tried to return it, was told no refunds or exchanges. Far too many items have no visible price on them or the shelf they occupy. I have shopped here for years. Yes, kosher food is expensive. Don't expect to pay the same here as you would in a regular supermarket. Don't buy the produce here if you are not happy about the prices. Buy the things you can't get elsewhere. If you keep kosher, then it is a Godsend. You cannot buy kosher meat in a supermarket. Always check your sushi order before leaving the sushi counter. I used the kiosk to order, and it's very specific when ordering. The sushi roller made it with his ingredients and modified it without saying anything. I noticed and asked, and he proceeded to make his own version of my order. I passed on the sushi as it was not what I ordered. I do my grocery shopping here, and it's usually a good experience. Check your order before leaving. Fabulous. I have visited the land of my people and it is good. The highlight is the bakery. You walk in and see an entire walk of challah. How can you go wrong? There are trays of rugelach, Mandel bread and cookies. The person being the counter is helpful and courteous. But, above all it is a kosher supermarket, with a wide variety of products including ready to heat meals. The variety was a bit overwhelming, actually. Highly recommended. Come. Have always had a positive experience. The prices are what they are. Quality is far above those offered in a local Chain Supermarket! The staff that works there is always pleasant and helpful. Anytime you ask them a question they respond politely, and if they are unsure they research it. They maintain their composure always. The Grove location in Boca offers a great selection of Kosher packaged foods, frozen ravioli, wines, baked goods and desserts. Unfortunately, I have had the experience of purchasing a $43 brisket that, after cooking at home a few hours after purchase, began to emit the distinctively unappetizing odor of ammonia, an unequivocal sign of spoiled meat. I was incredibly impressed with The Grove Kosher Market. While most supermarkets greet you with junk food and chips at the entrance The Grove welcomes you with bright well displayed fresh fruits. There is a busy bakery area once you enter with freshly baked breads and pastries. The produce section inside is beautiful, more colorful and fresh than any local supermarket. There is also an organic section with prices comparable to local stores. The aisles are clean, well stocked with a large variety of packaged products. The prepared foods area has fresh hot foods at reasonable prices. The piece de resistance: the beautiful wine display and huge selection of domestic and imported kosher wines. Chicken fingers cost me $22 way overpriced. I could've gotten there for cheaper at Publix their popcorn chicken is delicious and the prices there are 2 to 3 times higher than other grocery stores some items you can even get your local public grocery store. I won't even pretend to have any knowledge of Kosher foods or even what makes them Kosher or not, but being a Swede, I do know a thing or two about herring which is what lured me into this market. Indeed, I did find some very good ginger infused herring, something I've never had before, along with some jarred fish, or as some term caviar, which saved me from doing a long trip all the way out to IKEA. While there I checked the store out rather thoroughly and was very impressed with their displays, particularly their meats and chicken which all appeared as being better, at least to my eye, than what I've seen at any Publix.. What really surprised me, however, was the huge assortment of Asian sauces, actually more than I've seen in some Asian markets. It was a Wednesday afternoon and the store was packed with patrons, but with me being the only male not wearing a yamaka...or maybe it's a yarmulke yarmlke, yarmulke, yarmulke or kippah...but whatever, even though it sort of made me feel like the odd one out, it was very reassuring that the other shoppers obviously knew what they were doing and buying, so I'm sure the store is indeed good and that my impressions of it are correct. The only downside was that I started to snap a few pictures and as soon as I did, was confronted by a butcher who let me know in no uncertain terms "You no take picture. No allowed." Well, since he was a butcher, even though I was twice his size, and butchers are known to be handy with if not vicious with meat cleavers, I profusely apologized. Then, paid for my ginger infused herring (the purchase of which I think is the only thing that saved me from a horrible fate at the hands of this overly angry butcher) and left. During this coronavirus pandemic, take out food becomes even more important. Precisely because restaurants are closed by law and because so many of us are fighting "cabin fever," we need good take out food. No place does take out Jewish food better than The Grove. This week, approaching Passover, my mouth is already watering from thinking about the Grove's homemade gefilte fish. The Grove is now accepting phone orders to deliver at curbside. After picking up my order, I devoured half the gefilte fish loaf for lunch. Great place! read more

Deliciously fresh, hand dipped, hand stuffed donuts that make you sing with joy! Fresh produce, fruits.... and great fresh treats. The food is not always fresh. Be careful w the kasha varnishes. I purchased three times, and twice they were rancid.

I have been buying food here for years and because of something always being sour, I vow never to return. This Passover hit new heights. The chunky chicken soup, which I was going to serve at Seder along with Matzah balls were sour. The garlic powder that I bought, had been opened and half filled. The chopped liver was sour. Many of my friends had the same experience. After spending $484.00 there, I am finished. I cannot even get them on the phone. read more

Gross, I can't even eat it. Two items: Vegetable Lo Mein. No. This was not Lo Mein. This was a cold noodle salad with raw vegetables and so many raw red onions mixed in it was overpowering. I tried to eat it bc it was very expensive but I just can't. Dill potato salad. Again, awful. So much vinegar, it was inedible. I tried to mix it with some other vegetables to tone it down but in the end, I had to wait until my mother left the room so I could clandestinely throw it away so that she wouldn't feel bad about spending money on something so gross. I called the establishment and spoke to someone, told her what my problem was, and she said she would find the chef so that I can tell him what was wrong. Then she couldn't find him. How about you take my complaint to management? It's not my job to talk to your chef. Maybe their more traditionally kosher fare is better, but I'll never know, because I certainly am not going to try again. read more

Do not go here! Their food is very good. My mom has been shopping here regularly for years. Today, there were many customers not wearing masks or wearing them incorrectly. Some of the employees had their masks pulled down below their noses. We decided to leave because we were very uncomfortable. On the way out, we spoke to a manager. She told us that some of those people were regular customers and had medical exemptions. We are regular customers. I guess they are more important. And, how could there be an exemption if florida does not have a law requiring masks? Regardless, I'm on my way to one of the other kosher markets in the area (there are several), and will not be going back to Grove. You should think twice before going there. read more

Fantastic kosher store with literally everything you need. Very clean and well put together unlike some other dark and cramped locations that seem to always be dirty. Only one wish would be to have the ability to get freshly sliced meats your way rather than pre-sliced and prepackaged, hence why I gave them 4 stars rather than 5, but seriously that is the only down side to this store. read more

I really like this store. I live very close by so I'm there frequently. I love their produce so much better than Publix . Fabulous organic sweet potatoes yum . They have a great selection of jarred herring . Delicious sushi fresh bread and some good buys on fish and chicken . Their homemade beef and cabbage soup is sensational. My only gripe is i used to love their whitefish salad but it not been fresh and it's pricey the last 2 times a bought it was horrible . that really ticks me off.
