Why is it so miserable ordering a sub at Publix. Please train your staff!! I walked out and just gave up, not even worth it to speak to the manager. The lady was absolutely oblivious. I spent 30 mins ordering a sub, how it comes, for my husband and just decided to go somewhere else for myself because she was too incompetent to understand how to make the vegan sub. Location! Location! Location! This Publix is in a fantastic location for anyone visiting the Legoland area and needs some supplies. I literally left out of Legoland exit and went straight across the street it seemed. Made it super easy to pick up a few things I forgot to pack and pick up a few snacks and drinks. They seem to be well stocked and carry a lot more variety than the average Publix store as well. There is plenty of parking and they have public restrooms. The prices are...well...Publix prices, but the location is wonderful and made life easy. read more

Every time we order online, it takes over an hour to fill the sandwich order. This happens EVERY TIME. What is the point of doing an online order if they don't make it until you're standing in front of the counter anyway? In addition, they often get the order wrong or it's half assed. I will not be ordering from this location again. Time and time again, I am disappointed. I wish I could give 0 stars, because this place doesn't deserve it. When confronting customer service, I am told that they're "working on fixing the problem" but I have yet to see any improvements. The most insulting part is people will be standing behind the sandwich counter will just be talking while not doing anything else. Edit: when my boyfriend picked up the most recent sub, he was told they were out of the flat bread because it was moldy (ew). So they put it on white bread. He asked if they could press it even though it wasn't on the order since it was a different bread. The girl behind the counter grabbed the sandwich, rolled her eyes and proceeded to smash it with her hands. I'm sorry, but that's not what a pressed sandwich is. There is a reason, well, several reasons that I can point directly at to explain the rise of Publix to the very definition of what a supermarket should and could be here in the southeastern United States. First, Publix has amazing customer service. You are continuously greeted by the employees as you walk through the supermarket. They also will address any question or concern you might have. Customer service is just one thing that sets Publix apart. Another thing is their weekly BOGO (buy one, get on free) deals. Every week they have a slew of great deals. We also cannot forget their subs, affectionately known as pub subs. These are great subs. One of my main go to subs their Italian. I also like their roast beef and cheese. My daughter, who is not a huge sandwich fan, even likes their chicken tenders subs. My son, who does like sandwiches, likes their Italian sub, as well. Kind of weird to realize that some of the best subs come from a supermarket, but Publix definitely delivers. Oh, another thing that I am a fan of is the Publix diet iced tea, available over by the deli section. The deli is also pretty impressive. You can get cakes and whatnot, but I really like their bread and they also have pizza dough do that you can make your own homemade pizza. All in all, Publix is a great supermarket and it is my go to supermarket. If you have been to Publix, I am sure you will understand. If you are not familiar with Publix supermarket, try them once and you will be a fan. Publix has come a long way since they began here in Florida. They have expanded throughout the southeast and continue to grow. As I said, I do recommend Publix, definitely the best supermarket around. read more

We really like Publix, and this one is no exception, except for the 4.04 lbs of ground beef ended up being 3.14 oz short. I called William, the meat manager, so he could check to see if they have a problem. He was very apologetic and offered to make it up next time we are in but frankly we will likely forget as this is not the store we regularly frequent. The store is great. All of the employees are very nice. The pharmacy is horrible. The pharmacist Angela is the rudest person I've ever dealt with. I have a terminal illness and now she refuses to fill my rx because I called her boss. read more

Like most Publix in the State of Florida, this one is great. It is clean, organized, with friendly service personnel. Three of my favorite things about this location: 1. Bathrooms are SUPER CLEAN. 2. They ALWAYS have Terra Mediterranean Vegetable Chips 3. There is never a long line at the Deli, always several people back there ready to help out the customer. On a side note: If you get the Turkey Cobb Salad from the Deli, it DOES NOT come with Salad Dressing, only a small package of guacamole. read more

Really like this publix, unhappy with the online ordering. It is easy and quick, but everytime I order a sub online for pick up, it's wrong. It has been missing veggies before, bacon this time. Of course I don't ever know until I'm home, and by that time I don't want to drive back. Also, for Thanksgiving I got a pecan pie from the bakery that ended up being uncooked. It looks like they topped it with the pecans and cooked for 10 minutes. Had to cook it 45 min. That being said, very clean, good service. I love Publix subs(and their hangover cure magic) so I wish they would take more care when preparing online orders. read more

The parking lot of this particular Publix store has seen more party action and outlived the vast majority of bars that ever opened in Winter Haven. That said, this is the most excited I've ever gotten over a grocery chain. Great butcher's department and fresh fruit. Much better than Jewel (gag) or Dominix (barf) up in Chicago/the midwest. Why does the meat packing hub of the universe have such poor meat? I guess that's a rhetorical question. read more

With only the exception of the pharmacy, this is a great store ... friendly and helpful staff. But the pharmacy is a different story. Not all, but several of the employees are, might I say, less than friendly, and the pharmacist this morning had a short, terse tone. If this was my first visit, I'd never go back. read more

This Publix is great, always clean and the staff is friendly. Ordering subs and deli meat online for pick up is a great new feature.

The only thing bad I have to say about this Publix is that the parking lot is poorly designed & can be a little hairy. Besides that, Publix has the best made-to-order subs in town, and the second best ready-to-eat fried chicken in town (only Popeye's is better). Publix has average to above-average grocery prices, but their buy-one-get-one-free specials often make up for that. I LOVE PUBLIX! read more

This is the best Publix in the area. The baggers are always more than willing to take out your groceries and the cashiers are always pleasant. I feel like a queen when I shop at this Publix. :) The deli does get busy sometimes, but I can't complain when I come in on Sunday at 1pm, or Saturday at 5 or 6pm. What can I expect? Haha If there's ever more than 3 people in a line they pull someone from the back to jump on a register and open a new line so that the front is less congested. I love it. My husband and I are in here almost every day. The management staff and employees are wonderful except for the Pharmacy. I don't know what it is but the Pharmacy staff is short toned and come across as if I am an inconvenience to them. Today wasn't my first experience with the rudeness from this Pharmacy, it has been going on for quite some time. I have switched to the Walgreens right across from Moe's Southwest on Cypress Gardens Blvd and they are friendly, helpful and eager to assist your needs. I made a mistake today by telling the Dr to send the prescription to the Publix Pharmacy but rest assure it will not happen again. The grocery side will not loose our business but I will not use the Pharmacy again until there is a staff change. read more

A bit pricey, but they make up for it in extraordinary customer service. Cleanliness and courtesy can be expected at all times. As with any supermarket, you do have to check expiration or buy-by dates. Produce is usually fresh and... you can return anything. read more
