This is a very good restaurant! Service was quick and friendly and the food was delicious too. The salsa was my favorite part; chunky and full of flavor. Puebla definitely deserves better than 3.5 stars, which is mostly from very old reviews. Good food, friendly staff.

Had some time to kill before getting some ink at Dreamscapes (highly recommended, BTW!) and I was starving, so I went across the street from the shop to grab some authentic Mexican food. I was served immediately and the staff was friendly. Mind you, I only had less than an hour and my food was in front of me within minutes of ordering. 1. The food is good, but... 2. They charge for a 2nd salsa or a 2nd basket of chips. We were at a table with 3 separate checks and had to ask 4 times for another basket of chips and another salsa. But, had we sat at separate tables, we would have each gotten a free one, for a table of 6. 3. They will not give you a bill and will ask first if you're paying with cash or check... We wanted to know how much the bill was to decide what we were paying with and apparently they add another $3 if you use a card, but this is not even stated anywhere and they don't tell you, they just add it on and then give you your "total". 4. The staff cannot do math. My bill was $20.33, I gave her $50.35, simple math for most of us, my change should be $30.02 but the girl argued with me that my change was $28-and some change, I literally had to tell her how to type it in on the calculator then when she saw I was right, still didn't fix it but went to get a manager. 5. The manager - oh my, she clearly doesn't understand customer service at all, she got an attitude, continued to argue with me even after I told her how to type it in a calculator, as well. Just fix your mistake and move on, it's not hard. But she wouldn't so I said that's fine, you keep my extra $2 and none of us 3 will tip you at all then. You just lost out on $15 in tips. And no, there was no language barrier, just In case you're wondering. It was simply millennials who can't do math and wanted to argue for 15 mins over $2. Zero customer service skills. Never again. I have never posted a review on Yelp before but after this experience I had to share how HORRIBLE it was here. I have never had a worse or more disrespectful waiter serve me at any restaurant. A group of 7 of us went here for dinner around 5:30 and it took well over an hour to bring the food out. Multiple customers came in to pick up to go orders and were helped while the people dining inside the restaurant were put on the back burner. During the long wait time we asked the "guy" who was our waiter what the problem was and why the food was taking so long. The waiter responded in a very condescending way "um there is no problem its called being busy". We then followed up by asking how much longer until the food would be out since the first time we asked our waiter he didn't have enough respect for us and our party to even offer an apology for the delay or give a timeline of about how much longer. The waiter then left the table and we could see him talking to the manager in the front while looking back at our table. The oblivious waiter nor the manager didn't bother to come back to the table to explain the situation or to answer our question. We were very close to just getting up and leaving the restaurant because we couldn't believe the lack of customer service or the lack of simple communication!! When the food did arrive it wasn't even just not good it was disgusting. I usually love all Mexican food but the rice tasted like chemicals and the beans were unflavored. The meat was completely dried out and the horchata was even extremely gritty. The best part of the experience is the management didn't even bother to apply any discount for the extensive wait or the horrible experience. We were also charged for additional chips that we asked for which is ridiculous since the food wasn't even prepared 1 hour after ordering it. The interior of the restaurant was also very dirty. The inside of this location would score extremely low with the health department and even lower for customer service. Spent $200 for 7 plates of food and not one person enjoyed the food. I don't know if the food was made with poor quality for our table since we inquired on the wait time or if Puebla Mexican Restaurant is just that gross all the time. read more

A group of us went here for dinner and it was the worst experience! We waited over an hour and a half before our food arrived. Many take out orders were processed ahead of us and there was no communication as to why there was such a delay. Other patrons in the restaurant were also upset waiting so long for their food. We asked for an update but the waiter was rude and did not offer any explanation. As we waited I used the restroom and could not believe how filthy it was too. Floors were dirty and the entire restaurant needs a huge cleaning!! We should of left on our first impression but we were part of a group. The food was not even good. We did not enjoy it at all. The chicken was dry and the fajitas were soaked in oil. The rice tasted like chemicals and could not be eaten. I have owned and served in two restaurants in my career and I am shocked by the entire experience. I would not choose this restaurant to dine at or even for takeout. The health department should make a visit. The bill was over $120 and no offers to discount or comp chips was even offered. We will never return or recommend this restaurant. read more

The food is pretty good but my only concern is the wait time to get my food. The two times i have been there they have taken way to long to bring out the food.
