We stopped for lunch, and it was adequate. The place is very clean and modern, and while the parking lot is cramped, the booths and tables are spacious and nice. My main point of dissatisfaction was that the food and salsa/white sauce was fairly bland. I think it's a safe place to eat, but I probably wouldn't seek it out again if I'm in the area.

We came here for lunch on our way back from hiking in Roanoke! We were able to meet up with a friend and have a lovely meal. 4 of us were able to be seated immediately on a Sunday ~2 pm. They had lots of good lunch specials! I ordered the fajitas and they were very large! I left very full. There are complementary chips and dips that we all enjoyed very much. Inside is cute with a decent amount of seating. Waitress was kind and attentive. The fajitas came with lots of beans, rice, and sides. Very good price for the portion! Overall a great meal!

For some time now, I have heard of a small new Mexican restaurant located on 2626 Broadway Ave, next to the Honey Baked Ham Company. Today, a friend of mine invited me to dinner at precisely that restaurant. When we arrived, we found out that it was located in a relatively new two store strip mall next to the Honey Baked Ham Company. The restaurant was on the left side of the strip mall building and had a nice, designed entrance with a colorful yet simple sign high above which read: "PUEBLO CHICO MEXICAN GRILL". As we entered the glass doors, we found a relatively small yet very clean and tastefully decorated Mexican restaurant. It had light colored hardwood floors and booths as well as tables and chairs. These were in the front and right of the area, while the bar with stools was on the left side. We were greatly by the host, taken to one of the tables up front, and given a copy of the menu. It was very colorful and with a wide variety of drinks and food but contained to photographs of the food listed on the menu. However, we found high above in one of the corners of the place a large screen TV with rotating pictures of several items from the menu. Our server arrived with a big welcome smile and a basket of nice warm chips and two little bowls, one with salsa and the other with some sort of melted cheese. They all tasted delicious. To drink, we just ordered iced water. For dinner, my friend ordered the Chori Pollo as the main entrée, and I ordered the Molcajete: A traditional Mexican stone bowl filled with grilled chicken, steak, shrimp, Chorizo, sliced franks, zucchini, onions, a Chile toreado, and queso fresco. My friend's was served with tortillas and salad, and mine with tortillas and charro beans. The food arrived and was good quality, abundant and well seasoned and cooked. We both thoroughly enjoyed it, and our server brought us some more chips with salsa and came by to check on us at the appropriate times. For dessert, both of us ordered a Chimi Cheesecake. You can read in the photo of the dessert menu what it contained and see in the photographs I posted with this review how amazing it looked and also tasted. As we were eating, there were many other customers who arrived to eat, and others left as they finished eating. This restaurant truly has the qualities of a 5 Star restaurant. It is clean, decorated in good taste, with an extensive menu, friendly atmosphere, amazing tasting food, and excellent customer service. I highly recommend it to all those lovers of Mexican cuisine and to those who want to taste what it's really like.

A decent little Mexican restaurant conveniently located a stones throw from the highway, Pueblo Chico was warm, inviting, and efficient. I really enjoyed the complimentary chips and salsa, but I have no idea what the white sauce they served was. It was kind of sweet. As in sweet, not sweeeeet! The pollo pico so was really good, and the jalapeño's revenge margarita was fantastic! A worthy stop for Mexican food.

Salsas. The red salsa and creamy green salsa had good kick to them.

The food and various sauces were amazing. The service and aesthetics were every bit as good as the food.

Passing through Roanoke on the way to Mobile, AL looking for a simple Mexican bite to eat and we stumbled on this gem. I am so thankful for Yelp because it helps you discover amazing restaurants such as this one. We stopped by on a Thursday afternoon, plenty of parking and the place was packed for good reason. I decided on two tacos, one chorizo and a Carne Asada. Loved the presentation of how it comes out, fresh lime, a roasted jalapeño. Some of the best tacos I've ever had, also have sauce options. I got the house made jalapeño sauce. Tacos were stuffed to max, came with diced onions and fresh cilantro, both were exceptional. My wife got the Arroz Con Pollo which she said was one of the best meals she's ever had. Came with a generous portion of chicken over a bed of rice with queso, chicken was so tender and flavorful. Bonus points for them also providing each table with chips and homemade salsa, this should be normalized everywhere, loved those as well. Our server was friendly offering great options, good vibes and seating inside, they have a tv that displays their dishes. LOVED this place.

Cheese dip, salsa, and the mystery white ranch type sauce

After tackling an 8 mile hike at McAfees Knob, we were looking for some easy and delicious take-out to enjoy in our Pjs at our AirB&B. Our hosts actually had this Mexican restaurant listed as one of their favorite local spots. The ordering process was easy and the food ready quickly. While the exterior did not look like anything special, you got a wave of good smells when you opened the door. Have you noticed that some Mexican places in the South provide a complementary sweetish ranch type sauce with the chips and salsa? We realized Pubelo Chico was one of those places when we opened our takeout. I have never gotten the appeal, but I guess some like it. I always try it but end up rejecting and just sticking with the salsa. Their salsa was flavorful and the chips nice and crispy. We also ordered some cheese dip because we were feeling deserving of gluttony after the long hike. It was standard cheese dip, but it surely hit the spot that night. It apparently was National Burrito Day, so we both decided to order some. When we opened our to-go containers we both agreed the presentation of these burritos was not great, but who cares if they have taste good--which they did. I got the Fajita Burrito (10-inch flour tortilla filled with grilled chicken or steak, onions, bell peppers, and tomatoes. Topped with melted cheese, lettuce, sour cream, and diced tomatoes). They allowed me to make it "texanas" style and have chicken, steak, and shrimp which was awesome. Meat and veggies were cooked well and had nice authentic flavor. Burrito was a good size and filling but was a bit disappointed it didn't come with any real sides like rice or beans to complement. Nor did the side salad include guacamole, which I prefer to sour cream as it adds some flavor. Sour cream, lettuce, and diced tomatoes are all bland accompaniments. My husband got the Burrito de Maria (flour tortilla filled with grilled chicken. Topped with melted cheese, mole sauce, and pico de gallo. Served with rice). He loves mole sauce and can be picky about its preparation, but he thought theirs was great. He also commented on how good the seasoning on their chicken was. Rice was cooked well and plentiful. We both hurt after eating so much, but isn't that the best kind of pain (and worth it) after a yummy meal?

Great food and wonderful service! Our server, Ester, was super sweet and attentive. We arrived at dinner time on Saturday evening and they got us in very quickly and our food was out in no time. Definitely recommend this place when in Roanoke.

Went here for lunch today and after a hard tile finding it bc it is hidden behind a Uhaul dealership we parked in a lot across the street (there is not much of a parking lot for the business who shares their lot with a Honeybaked Ham store. Upon walking in, I noted that they had a wall of booths, a bar and some tables for larger groups. We were greeted by a very sweet and personable hostess who asked us to wait so she could seat us in a booth. Once seated, our server greeted us promptly and took our drink orders while another employee brought chip, salsa and something they call white sauce (kind of like a ranch dressing with a sweet taste). My wife ordered the shrimp flautas and I got a number 12 lunch special (2 beef enchiladas and a Chile relleno). The food came out quickly and was well prepared. Everything tasted great. When it was time to pay, the sever brought the check and I walked to the register to pay wit the same kind server from earlier. Bill was super reasonable. Great lunch. This place appeared to be popular with locals for lunch and was slammed when we left.

To drink I ordered the Housemade Lemonade. The server arrived with my drink and a welcoming smile and took my order. For apappetizer I ordered the Chips and Choriqueso. And for my main entry I ordered two Flank Steak and one Pork Carnitas tacos. Two of them Traditional style and one Gringo style. And for dessert the Churrosticks. The iced lemonade was one of the best lemonades I've ever had. Very lemony and the right sweetness. The quality of the Chips and Choriqueso was superb and the tacos were simply delicious. The service was superb. My server came by at the appropriate times to check on me and provide refills for my lemonade. I can't imagine how good the Margaritas must be at this restaurant / bar. I highly recommend this contemporary restaurant / bar for a place to go alone, to relax, or with family and friends to enjoy some quality time together in a clean and tastefully decorated Mexican restaurant located in a chick location.

At first it seems like a hole in the wall, where you approach and they take your order and payment. Then you go take a seat either in one of the many tables of the Market Building, that are arranged similar to the Food Courts in the Malls, or in one located in a small outside patio (mostly used during the late Spring and Summer, or when the weather is warm). But don't be fool, this restaurant is more than a hole in the wall or part of a Mall's Food Court. Even though the kitchen and ordering counter is located in a very small space. There is nothing small in the quality of the food nor in the very flavorful cuisine. And their customer service is definitely top notch. They have copies of blown up menus next to a window facing the inside of the Market Building so customers can study the menu well before approaching the ordering counter to make the order. They also have the same thing in the outside seating area patio, which is under a roof. And right above the ordering counter, more blown up menus, as well as regular size menus laying on the counter. But besides all this, they have very engaging employees who are very helpful making recommendations on what to order if you are still undecided by the time you reach the ordering counter. And this is precisely what one of them did with me and I ended up with one of the most amazingly delicious Mexican food that I've ever had in any size restaurant. To drink they have a display case refrigerator with many non-alcoholic drinks to choose from, and a small bar counter where Margaritas are made. To drink I got a Jarritos Mango natural flavor soda. And to eat, I took the recommendation of one of the employees taking my order and ordered the Chessy Tacos Birria, which were made with seasoned shredded pork, and came accompanied by a bowl of consomme to dip my tacos in while eating them, and by little bowls of red and green salsa to put on the tacos if I wanted them more spicy. For dessert I ordered a Flan. Since it is Winter, I had my dinner inside the Market Building, where my server brought it to my table, and followed up at the appropriate times to see if I needed anything and who brought me a napkin holder full of napkins without me even having to ask for it. My server did a nice job providing excellent customer service and establishing a wonderful customer relationship to indirectly invite me to come again to try other items of the menu in the near future. I highly recommend this Mexican restaurant to all those reading my review, when you feel like having some good Mexican food in a lovely and relaxed atmosphere, either indoors or outdoors of a Historic Roanoke City Market Building.

Its delicious food, welcoming ambiance, and excellent customer service, have won me over, and make me keep coming back. After having been selected as number 4 of Yelp's Top 50 most prolific Elites of 2025, a year when I also was awarded the Yelp Triad Squad Photographer of the Year Award at their Yelpies 2025 Award Ceremony, an event that honored the highest-performing Yelp Elites, and where last year I was awarded the Yelp Triad Squad Yelper of the Year Award, I decided that this year, as an All-Star Yelp Elite, I not only wanted to be the first to discover new restaurants and bring them to the attention of the public, but also to return to those special ones, that have made a difference in my life and highlight them, for the benefit of the public, so they too can have an opportunity to appreciate the qualities of a one-of-a-kind fine dining experience. And Pancho Mexican Restaurant in Towers Shopping Center, in Southwest Roanoke, is a perfect example. As soon as I entered its door today, I was greeted by the Host with appreciation and taken to one of the comfortable booths of the restaurant. Soon after I was seated with the menu, another friendly employee brought me a basket filled with a generous portion of fresh tortilla chips and a bowl with a small glass bottle filled with their amazing sauce. Not long after, my server came by with a smile to see what I wanted to drink. She tried her best to talk to me in English, but when I switched to Spanish, that made her more comfortable and she appreciated my noble gesture. I ordered a Virgen Jumbo Frozen Mango Margarita to drink. While I was enjoying my chips with salsa, and studying the menu to see what I ordered today, they brought the order to the booth next to mine and I was very impressed with the "Steak con Camaron" served on a sizzling skillet. It was a T-bone steak grilled to perfection with plumpy, nice size shrimps. So when my server brought me my drink, I order this dish as my main entrée. I think I've had almost all of the most exclusive entrées on the menu. I invite you to view all of my photographs and videos on the Yelp site to get a better sense of its fresh and delicious food, as well as the photographs and videos I took today, accompanying this review. Just so the steak doesn't overcook and become tough, I would advice you to place it on the plate they give you with rice and refried beans, soon after it arrives on your table. The flavor was delicious, and the melted cheese on top of the plumpy shrimps also gave them this amazing taste. While I was enjoying my dinner, the restaurant manager came by to say hello. As a regular here, it was nice to be acknowledged and appreciated by the manager, and I believe this is an important aspect of an extraordinary dining experience. For dessert I had their Churro Cup. It is a cup made with the churro dough, filled with vanilla ice-cream, whipped cream, chocolate syrup and a cherry. It was amazingly delicious and the perfect ending to an exemplary dining experience.

It seems to me that everyone is welcomed at Moe's, no matter the color of their skin nor their socio-economic status. And genuinely caring about your customers is something that is lacking in many restaurants and should be top priority in the selection process of their employees. Moe's first started in Atlanta, Georgia in the year 2000 and the letters of their name stand for "Musicians, Outlaws, and Entertainers." They celebrate the unconventional. With the belief that you don't achieve greatness unless you "stir the pot." This Moe's Southwest Grill is conveniently located in the Bridges Shopping Center, next to the South 6 Apartments at the Bridges. It is housed in a beautiful, modern red brick building with their restaurant sign high above in yellow, red, and black colors. High above their two glass door entrance thete is another sign that reads: WELCOME TO MOE'S. Once one steps inside, a sound is heard and all their employees with a big smile shout "Welcome to Moe's." The interior design of the place has exposed black ceiling, large yellowish tile floors and lots of orange and red colors to help create a happy dining experience. It also has lots of windows all around their interior brick walls with posters featuring AUGMENTED REALITY (AR), which can be experienced via the Moe's Rockin' Rewards app. On the right side of the restaurant there is a low wall that goes all around and in front of the ordering counter to lead the way to the large menu on the wall and then to the counter where you tell their employees what you want and you watch them make it right before your eyes. I ordered The Stack with Grilled Steak as my protein and many other items along the way. I invite you to view my photographs that accompany this review. I made it a Meal and got a side of Queso and a Regular Drink. By the way, the Chips are free with your meal, they are made fresh daily, and are thin and crunchy. They also have a complimentary Salsa Buffet, where you can get a number of salsas to go with your chips. And if this wasn't enough, their drink machine is one of those where you can choose an already known drink or make your own by adding many flavors. I found this restaurant to be a clean, lovely place to enjoy a Mexican meal in a happy and fun environment. And I highly recommend this restaurant for it's uniqueness and friendly service, as well as for its variety and quality of food.

After being awarded the Triad Yelper of the Year 2024 Award at the Yelpies Award Ceremony last year, an event that honored the highest-performing Yelp Elites, I decided that this year, as an All-Star Yelp Elite, I not only wanted to be the first to discover new restaurants and bring them to the attention of the public, but also to uncover those found in hidden paths that for one reason or another have not reached the public in its totality. And the Chipotle Mexican Grill at Towers Shopping Center, located in Southwest Roanoke, Virginia, is the perfect example. I currently have 12,838 Reward Points from Chipotle reflected in my Chipotle app. Most of the time I order delivery from this store location. But today I happened to be in the area and decided to go eat there in person. Their restaurant is located on the right of T-Mobile at Towers Shopping Center. This place has been totally renovated since the time it was built and all the stores there are very clean and presentable. They are in the right corner of the strip mall in a modern building painted yellow and white, with bright red window frames color. The interior design of the restaurant has nice contemporary furniture and lighting. As one enters through the main door on the left side, one walks all the way back until one reaches the counter and tell the employee there the entrée they want, the protein, the ingredients included, and the extra ingredients that are Guacamole and Queso Blanco. There was one customer in front of me and I took a look of the menus high above and some enlarged photos advertisements of some of the items. When the server came back and asked me what I wanted. I told him a Braised Beef Barbacoa Burrito. He heated the large tortilla to make the burrito and started asking me what I wanted on it. Starting from the white rice and black beans, then the protein that I ordered was the Beef Barbacoa, the mild sauce and the one with corn, graded cheese, and sour cream. He was wearing gloves as he handled the Burrito and was very generous with the portions. When he started folding the Burrito, it was so loaded that it cracked, so he asked me if it was alright if he put another tortilla over the first one. I agreed and he did a great job folding the Burrito. Then he wrapped it in an aluminum wrap and put it inside an orange plastic baske. By this time we had reached the cashier who asked me what I has so she could price the order, I included a fountain soft drink. I had her scan my app so I would get my Rewards points for this meal and paid with my credit card. The cashier lady employee was very friendly and nice, even though she was wearing a mask. I found this a little strange because Chipotle Corporate now has paid sick leave to encourage employees to stay home when I'll. It also has come up with their Food Safety 7, a system of seven key protocols for preventing foodborne illness, encompassing Work Healthy, Work Clean, Keep Produce Safe, Cook it, Keep it Hot/Keep it Cold, Maintain Sanitary Conditions, and Call for Help. These guidelines are a core part of the company's overall enhanced food safety program, which also include rigorous supplier standards, and enhanced internal training. I took my Burrito and paper cup and sat down at a table in front of the softdrink machine after getting some ice and Root Beer. The Burrito was real Fat, sort of contradicting those customers that are saying that they are making them smaller. And it contained lots of protein and other ingredients. It was truly amazingly delicious. The only thing that prevented me from having an excellent dining experience was that I noticed that the Organic Lemonade and Agua Fresca dispensers were dirty, empty, and not cleaned nor replenished. Also that the floor of the seating area next to me was dirty, and they didn't have anyone cleaning the restaurant after the customer. The dirty floor detracted from the beautiful contemporary decor of the place and ruined the perfect dining experience. I hope Corporate and management reads my review and immediately corrects this, for it is one of the only reason I didn't give it a 5 Stars review.

very disappointed in this location! it may have ruined Chipotle for me! I thought their food was…read more"made fresh daily". Well to start the door said open at 10:45, the doors did not open in time and once in the staff was not prepared for customers. Still getting everything set out to serve. In line I noticed it seemed like they were serving old food! The corn was nearly empty even though they just opened and the guacamole was completely brown! Not a good look!!
