Chelsea was attentive and professional and seemed like she honestly cared about my issues. She was not distant in her personal mannerisms nor with her medical recommendations. She sat down and spoke with me, NOT AT ME, like an adult with reasonable understanding (which I did not experience at my first appointment with the PA). She did not make demands like I was a child, also like my first experience. I gave three stares because it's still early in my treatment with this clinic, and I want to make sure she is FOR REAL!

If that were true, I would not have wasted time or energy to go back and see her. The clinic insisted I see a different person for pcp and pain. So I did that & it was a massive waste of time. Plus, I went for appointment, was in time and standing in line to check in and they wouldn't see me claiming I was 5 minutes late. Is there a place I can check myself in? Good grief!

I feel very fortunate to be a patient of Dr. Ruiz, DO. She has a great MA and they seem to work well together. Dr. Ruiz is completing her residency, and while i get the impression she keeps a hectic schedule, I have never felt rushed during my appointments with her. The other aspect I appreciate is the on-site lab, which provides fast results.

Rude, defensive staff. At first, the resident said she…read morewouldn't do basic blood work because, well, I had just had basic blood work done... A year ago. Then she said that she didn't want to do basic blood work because I would have to pay extra for that, even though my insurance assured me when I called them during my appointment, that that was not the case. When finally the resident walked me back to the lab area, very defensively, very rudely, I saw what she meant. They contract out to LabCorp. Which means that LabCorp bills a separate copay from your doctor's visit. So much more, including the fact that I didn't even realize that the resident seeing me was not a full fledged physician until over half way into the appointment-- when she said she had to go and get permission for me to get basic blood work done from the attending physician. Such a strange strange, poorly run facility.
