Puerto Rico, the land of mofongo but quite delectable if you can ingest cardboard poured with salt for flavoring. Here are other things to consider when dining at this place: * The food was as appealing as a one-legged stripper with a toothless grin. The food is crap... Only expensive. * THEY CHARGE YOU 30% TIP after showing you the bill.(no one is spared) dining for one? Tip included. This place is SLEEZY. * The service was slow even though the place was half full. They even forgot a few of our dishes. * Saying this place is clean isn't too much of a compliment because they don't really have to clean much. Everything is covered in thick plastic and all the utensils are disposable. How the hell does one eat mofongo with flimsy and easily broken cutlery? * Though I suppose the mofongo was average, I would warn the average person away from it. It literally had no flavor. The only thing I tasted was the sauce I asked for.(tomato or salty garlic) I would actually prefer unseasoned white rice over eating mofongo. read more

Overpriced and tasteless. Avoid it. "Big" mofongo with churrasco and shrimp was significantly smaller than others I've had (try cafe cafe in ponce btw). Tasteless and just had a few pieces of meat and 3-4 small shrimp. Bistec encebollado while cheap came with a few pieces of onion and was served cold. Ordered Togo over the phone. They told me 25 min. I then got to the restaurant (no parking on weekends like everywhere in la parguera) ushered in with full covid nonsense. And finally got to the pick up window I was told the food wasn't ready. I then wait patiently for my order. From placing the phone call and receiving my food it took 1 hour(it would have been no problem as long as they did not say 25min on the phone). I am aways amazed at restaurants in Puerto it always looks like they have too much staff and they are all looking busy. But nothing seems to get done. Food was edible, not great. We ordered standard Puerto Rican fare. Mofungo, churasco, empenadillas, red snapper. I don't think I would order any of those things next time. I only write the review not because the food was average. But because I am shocked at the over staffed restaurant and the slow/low quality service. And of course the business is not using their head for the covid protocol. read more

Thanks to prior comments, we ordered the Mofongo (which we previously had a poor impression of in Vieques). The Mofongo with camarones (shrimp) in garlic sauce was terrific. The rice and beans were unremarkable. The server was fast and pleasant. Not a scenic place to eat but delicious. read more

I went here with my girlfriend and we can totally say that they have the best mofongo we've had so far. It was full of beef and flavor. I cannot say the same thing for their empanadillas, but we can definetly recomend their mofongo with steak or chicken. read more

Came here for lunch and had the shrimp mofongo. The serving was rather large and very tasty. Service was great considering most if the tables were full and there was one server. The atmosphere is nothing special, but the food and service makes up for it. I'll be back for dinner. read more

Unfortunatley, the service was way too long. We arrived here at around 6pm because we had a boat tour at 8. Well it turns out that that wasn't enough time because we still have not received our food and it's already about 15 minutes to 8. We paid for the appetizers and drinks but ad to leave. upon walking on this place the first impression wasn't Great. The server wasn't very welcoming at first, didn't really explain to us the menu and just really didn't seem that she wanted to service us. We decided to eat outside and wait for her service which took more than it should . It wasn't until another very nice lady who I think was the manager had asked us if we been served, I said no and from there my experience changed. The what I assumed was the manager (because she wasn't in uniform like the others) Took our order immediately and even though the wait time was a little bit longer she always checked up on us to make sure that we were OK and let us know that the food will be ready soon. When she brought in the pizza we asked her for Parmesan cheese and she brought us the whole pack plus garlic and pepper. After The dinner she brought me flan and was delicious. Overall the beginning wasn't great but at the end we were very pleased with the manager and the food was good. read more

I have been coming to La Parguera regularly since 1998 and I never went Puerto Parguera. Big Mistake!!! My wife's family came with us this time and my sister in law ask if this place was good. I told her I never went because I thought it was touristy. Another Big Mistake, The food is excellent. The people are outstanding. So much so - One day we decided to walk not drive to the restaurant. We ordered two boxes of lobsters to take back to the condo lol !!! (food is that good). Well, the heavens opened up and it started pouring. We figured ah no big deal we will just cover the boxes. While we are waiting for the food, we spoke with the owners son and the lady working the register who asked about my daughter. They are very nice. Unbeknown to us the owner (very nice lady) was listening to our conversation about walking and not driving. She immediately had her son bring the car around. They cleaned out the back seat and offered us a ride. I was blown away. Who does that? I have eaten in Paris, France, Frankfurt, Germany, St. Maarten and all over the US and never had such service. Was decent overall. We got to La Parguera early and wanted to eat lunch somewhere. Their windows were open so we walked in but they said they didn't open until 11. We walked away and looked at our watch and it was 10:53. They could've said, "Come on in and take a seat and we'll be with you in about 10 minutes as we're just getting ready." But they didn't. Right in the middle of La Parguera, this restaurant certainly will not disappoint you. A couple can eat two full meals (one per person, obviously) with two small glasses of Sangria for $25. The food is excellent and the ambiance is as relaxing as it can get, The staff and owner are friendly and will make you feel right at home.
