Stayed at a nearby resort and stopped in for dessert. Spacious shop with friendly service from Nathalia and Juliana. Tried the taro and vanilla swirl and the signature egg waffle cone with vanilla ice cream -- both delicious! Ice cream was rich and creamy, and the waffle paired perfectly. Will definitely return to try their boba milk teas.

Those delicious-looking waffle cones stuffed with sweet treats are called Puffles. They are conveniently located in the amphitheater plaza, right across from Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort. I was there for the night with my boyfriend when we had first started dating. I actually think it may have been the first time we had ever gone anywhere alone together and it was only our second date. Gasp, scandalous. I digress... At Puffles, they serve Hong Kong egg waffles. These are also called Gai Dan Jai or "puffles". They are crispy on the outside, soft, sweet, and pillowy on the inside. These are rolled into a cone, and you can customize them with your choice of ice cream and toppings. But there is one menu item that I believe stands above all of the rest... Let me introduce you to a seriously addictive treat... the Caramel Delight. This place is conveniently located by a vibely walking area, other cool spots, & near an affordable parking garage. Our waffle cones were amazing. The texture is different than American waffles. It taste more light & airy. The toppings were unique & I appreciated the options. We loved their cones & ice cream.

The taro soft-serve here is good! One of the better taro soft-serves that I have had. It is a bit pricey for what it is and the waffle isn't that good either. I ordered the sundae which is a bubble waffle in a cup, you can choose to fill it which your choice of soft-serve and you get three toppings. I paid 16 dollars for the sundae and a bottle of water. The service was quick, I received my order in less than 5 minutes. There is only seating inside and not much of it so don't expect to sit inside if it is busy.

I absolutely love the puffed waffle ice cream cone trend! It is literally what my dreams are made of. There is just something so delicious about a warm, fresh waffle filled with ice cream. I always like to keep it simple with chocolate fudge brownie ice cream and the original waffle with no toppings. You can 100% go to the extreme and get a ton of toppings, as they have a huge selection. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and it was cool that you could watch them make the waffle as you ordered it. The spot is the perfect place to grab an ice cream and walk the pier! I dream about this almost daily and can't wait to make it back to get another!

I've always wanted to try this place and happened to have din across the street so I was finally able to. It was delish! Everything you want it to be. A fresh, warm waffle with a scoop of ice cream and delicious toppings. We had the ultimate chocolate which was exactly that, lots of chocolate. The employees were friendly and the place has several tables to sit. The only complaint is it is quite pricey- almost $14 for a half waffle and a single scoop of ice cream.

This was a quick stop while walking in the beach. The men up front at the pos were friendly & helpful. The bubble waffle was really good & fresh. The place was clean as well. The only thing that would make this better would be more flavors for the soft serve. They only had two flavors of soft serve. Overall this is a good place to visit & would come back if we are in the area.

Great experience overall. Good base ice cream flavors, I went with strawberry ice cream in the original waffle cone, with honey granola + chocolate syrup + chocolate pocky sticks. I enjoyed my dessert, and it's def an instagram-able type of snack! Would recommend to a friend. Only con, limited toppings. Would of like to see more real fruit options (bananas, raspberries, strawberries etc) and maybe some other crunchy items (pretzels, health bar etc). read more

It look like a very simple shop, we went in ... thank god for AC. Ordered a milk tea coffee, and I thought was going to be something like a cold ice coffee... not a bit. I've seen them on Instagram and wanted to try Puffles since it reopened. Finally had it today and can say that the hype is real! I appreciate their efforts in keeping their customers safe during this time (one customer/couple at a time, masked employees, constant wiping of contact points). Definitely a small business worth supporting during these hard times!! Overall, I'm very impressed with my visit. The ice cream and drinks came out in a timely manner. Puffles offers something unique that other boba shops just don't offer. I can see their passion in offering customers good quality ingredients in both their food and drinks. Okayyyyyy this ice cream spot is bomb, their presentation is perfect.. it's a new place also they open about a month ago.. customer service is very good.. located close to beach and there's lot of restaurant and bars near them, so you can go eat , have a drink then ice cream time .. they have lots of flavors of ice cream and they not expensive at all. Puffles is located right next to Margaritaville in Hollywood Beach. I got the original milk tea with boba and was able to try pocket full of sunshine. Both were pretty good and a great start to this business. I saw someone's comment wanting more of a variety of ice cream flavors like taro, green tea, etc. I decided to ask about having more ice cream flavors like taro and green tea and he said that's what they're working on now is soft serve flavors like taro and green tea. Flavors like those I think people need to be more open to try either than chocolate, vanilla, pistachio, etc. I'll for sure be back when I'm in the area. read more

This is one of my favorite boba and ice cream spots in all of South Florida! I recently moved from Miami Dade to Broward, and as such had to find some places close to where I now live to get boba and desserts. I found Puffles while browsing on Yelp and decided to give them a try. Since then I've been back about 10 times or more. This place in conveniently located right next to Hollywood Beach. They don't have customer restrooms but there is a public beach restroom about a 1 minute walk away. They offer boba, ice cream, soft serve, and egg waffles. These waffles are THE SOFTEST of any I've had around here. Trust me when I say you won't be disappointed. They have a nice variety of ice cream but I really love the soft serve. They periodically switch the two soft serve flavors that they offer. I've had Thai Tea, Earl Grey, Taro, Matcha, Banana and Nutella with my favs being Thai Tea, Taro, and Matcha. All the staff is super kind and helpful and they will let you try the flavors if you haven't tried them before. As long as they keep serving the delicious soft serve flavors they offer, I will keep coming back. This place is a 10/10! read more

Wow - Puffles was a delicious treat!! At first glance, I wasn't sure if it was open due to the extremely minimalistic decor. However, that minimalism is incredibly refreshing after the overwhelming stimuli of the boardwalk. We had a Thai milk tea with boba and the Basic B egg waffle signature creation. Both were totally delicious! The cone is big enough to share between 2-3 people. The customer service was great, ambiance was nice, and such intentional creativity went into making the ice cream look delicious!! Would love to go back again! read more

Fresh and delicious. I tried my friend's selections as well it was all delicious. I wish they had hot fudge and hot caramel instead of the sauces only, but it was still good. Cute and clean inside. Recycled materials used I think and nice staff of 2 or 3 people. We sat at the tables, but could have easily watched the band on stage from the front steps. The hand dipped ice cream was very good. Oh the kiddos LOVED this place. I didn't order my own but I had to try my daughters, it's pretty impossible not to want one once you smell the fresh waffle cones being made. Puffles is such a nostalgic place once eating the one of a kind and amazing desserts. I love love love Puffles the Customer service is amazing and the servers are incredibly nice I was taking a trip in Florida and I saw Puffles pop up on my phone. I thought oh my gosh this could be a trip to get something brand new. I was reading the reviews and I was like we have to go here! I visited three nights in a row. You should absolutely go to Puffles if your in Florida. I totally recommend a chocolate waffle with mint chocolate chunk ice cream and Oreos, whip cream, and chocolate syrup.
