Stumbled upon this gem of a place. Mauricio was so sweet and allowed us to try different gelato flavors for us to be sure to pick our favorite. I ended up getting the dulde de leche with tequila, and it is to die for! My friend got the piña colada one that came with rum, and that was delicious too. It was like a refreshing sorbet. I visited this little shop about 2 years ago, and I always talked about it to my friends and family. The first time here, my experience was great, so much so I've always wanted to bring some of my friends to experience that as well. Well, Saturday evening we were finally in the area and planned on stopping in for some cocktails, and gelato. First off, the interior is beautiful, the colorful display of their gelato packaging is easy on the eye. The ambiance is relaxing, and very upbeat with the music. When we arrived, there was one other couple, just about to leave. I can't say we were greeted with enthusiasm, and, this place is small inside, as soon as you walk in, you're right at the bar... where the bartender is. Immediately, I felt the uncomfortableness. We decided to sit, and waited for the girl behind the counter to acknowledge us, and provide us a few menus, it took about 3-4 min before that happened, again, small interior, and only 2 other guests in there at that time. We were not told anything or asked if needed with the menu, we were handed 2 menus to look over, so the 4 of us shared. 2 years ago, I remember cocktails were served at this establishment, made with the types of gelato you requested. I understand that over time menu items changed, but, I didn't know that untill I left and did some research on my own. When we were ready to order, I asked about the different types of cocktails, immediately the girl behind the counter was not havging it. She said she had NO idea what I was referring to, and cocktails were never served here. Ok? So explain the past pictures others have left and reviews left for cocktails. Maybe it would help if she knew that once upon a time, certain items were being served, but not anymore, rather than making guests feel like THEY don't know what they're taking about. We were made aware that these items are not longer being served by the bartender, which in the moment would have helped to clear up on confusion on OUR part. Instead, and very stand off'ish "I don't know what you're taking about" was given. This completely ruined our mood, and my views on this gelato bar. After we were made to look like we were all crazy, we simply ordered the geleo flight, sampled them, took some quick pictures and left. The girl behind the counter was far from attentive or friendly. The majority of our time in the bar, she wasn't around, she was standing way in the back away from us. The inability to explain the menu to us, or inform us that menu items have changed, the lack of friendliness, the lack of attentiveness it just set the worst feeling for me and mood. I've raved about this place for years, and brining friends here was supposed to be a happy time, instead, it was disappointment and left to feel as if we had no idea what we were taking about, I doubt that I will ever be coming back. Stopped in to Quore Gelato during a rain storm on Sunday. Was hoping to try a pint of their gelato. Quore is located at Costa Hollywood hotel. So while we are there trying to decide on what pint we want, BOOM! Power goes out. So, without power, the point of sale machines don't work. You know what that means? You guessed it, they can't sell anything. So, we had to leave. Fast forward about 8 hours, we head back, they're open and all is up and running. So now we can finally order something. We settled on the whiskey Carmel gelato. A pint to take back to the room. Man oh man this stuff is legit: there is so much Carmel and whiskey flavor to this stuff, it is unreal. If you're looking for boozy gelato in Hollywood Beach, Quore is your spot! Came here after a brunch at GG's Waterfront since it was right across the street. A little off the Hollywood Beach Boardwalk, you can find Quore facing the street. Parking around is metered but they do offer one hour free parking around the corner with the hotel valet! The inside is situated like a bar, with some swings and bar stools as seating. They have outdoor covered seating, as well. We opted to sit inside and the swings were fun to sit on to enjoy our sweet treats. The "bartender" was so friendly and let us sample different gelato flavors before deciding on what to get. They are sorted by numbers and with a wide variety, I'm sure everyone can find something they like. They also have coffee, cheese boards, Quore on the rocks, and non-alcoholic gelato. I ended up getting 17 which was Hazelnut & Hazelnut Liquor. It was so good and I would recommend if you're a hazelnut fan. Our group also got the Salted Caramel and Whiskey, Strawberry & Champagne, and Coffee & Rum. All were great & came with a beautiful presentation paired with a sweet side of chocolate! If you're looking to get to-go, you can go straight to what looks like a to-go window inside, right next to their swing seating and order from there. Earlier in the day, they were telling me about how they had passed by a gelato shop that said it was the best, according to the New Times. Blame the phenomenon of the brain auto filling in missing information, but I thought it was the New York Times who included them in a best gelato list haha... oops! We decided to stop in after dinner. Re-reading the sticker on the window, we realized it was the best according to the NEW TIMES--"York" was nowhere in sight. No matter... we were here anyway, so we figured we might as well see what this place was about. It was of course not the typical gelato shop that we expected. The interior looked like part bar part distillery. The vibe was somewhat clubby and loungy (I guess we are in South Florida!), which normally wouldn't be my thing, but it was super cool. I loved the swing chairs at the bar and the colorful, clean ambiance. The gelato bartender (have I mentioned yet that the gelato is alcoholic? No? It is!) was friendly, offering samples of whatever we wanted to try. We tried several before making our final decisions, and all of them were yummy. I ended up choosing the #15 tequila sunrise gelato, as did my two friends. My boyfriend got the #11 piña colada gelato. They were presented beautifully, in different colored containers, on a wooden board, as you can see pictured. The attendant was very sweet and very patience as we asked to try different flavors and was undecided with what we wanted. If you dine in, along with the ice cream, you get a nice treat which was gummy candy. The ice cream comes in a nice box container which the box is bigger than what is inside.
