Brought my ~9 foot long top down/bottom up shade to be re-strung. Their standard quote is 10 business days but they were able to turn it around with the week! They are very friendly when I called in for a quote. They do offer removal - service - re-installation service as well. Would definitely use them again to repair any of my blinds. read more

Highly recommend Puget Sound Blind Cleaners! Spoke to Karen initially to get a price quote of the blinds in which needed to be cleaned & repaired. We opted for the pickup and return service and because our project was over the minimum we didn't have to pay additional for the in person service. Chris did an excellent job on the pickup and even fixed one of the wood blinds that I thought needed to be restrung (no charge). Delivery & install was 3 days after pick up and Chris took great care of our home with putting on the slipper booties and laying down a drop cloth at entrance for the blinds to be staged. Chris educated along the way and provided exceptional service. Total project came in under the original estimate as they determined one of the blinds just needed to be untangled and not a re-cord. The very best in customer service, actual blind service and pricing. I started small with them a few years ago, with a one wood blind repair that no one else seemed interested in repairing. I forget who referred me to Puget Sound Blind Cleaners for this repair but it was a a great referral for me because when I got new windows, PSBC was there for me to take down and reinstall my blinds with care and along with cleaning tips, the installer took the time to discuss how I wanted the blinds reinstalled so they looked good and worked their best. He even readjusted handles so it was easier for us to use them. They go above and beyond and they will be my go to company for cleaning and care for them too. Also, before the windows were installed, PSBC told me they resize blinds (from too wide to narrower) in case the windows were installed and didn't allow enough width for the blinds. Had an expensive (but old) Hunter Douglas blind with a broken string. Called PSBC to ask about repairs. Michelle was super helpful -- very knowledgeable, explained the options and what might happen. The guys arrived RIGHT ON TIME for a very reasonable pick-up charge and took the blinds back for repair. Then they came back RIGHT ON TIME AS SCHEDULED and installed the blind. I would like to give them a 1 star rating after talking to the woman there. I called and make appointment to have a wooden blind taken down and fixed. I have used this company before and they are good and I have recommended them to a lot of people. They said if I bring it in it would be $60 to restring (good price) when I told her my age she told me it would be $100 for them to come out, take it down, take it back to the shop and restring it and then bring it back and install it. Good price also.. But what they did is come out and see what the problem was, did not have to take it down but just replace 2 strings and was there for about 20 minutes and still charged me the full take it down price, take back to the shop fix it and return and install it price. When I ask her about this she did not even care one bit. They are a 5 star business in service but not in customer service read more

Awesome! Our blinds where in a rental house that we just bought. It had been very poorly maintained and sat empty for years. There blinds where filthy and the cords where black in spots. I was just going to throw them away but I thought I would give them one last chance by having them cleaned. Even the black on the cord is gone! They look brand new! One set had knots in the cord so bad that she recommended replacing it so I took her advise on it and she took care of that as well. She had them done the following day too! American Drapery, Blind & Carpet referred me to this business because I had called them to see if they do blind cleaning. Boy, am I glad they referred me to Puget Sound Blind Cleaners! I called numerous times, and each time (Michelle always answered, methinks!) she was always so patient, professional, honest, and helpful. Each blind less than 6' is only $13.50 (longer would be only $20). I will always go here to clean my blinds! They operate out of the garage of the owner's house (great idea) and they pre-treat with special chemicals, dunk it in a special cleaning solution, wipe off with diaper cloth, and then let air dry. You can pick it up in 1-2 days. Just call in advance to let them know youre gonna be there! read more

Called to discuss service. Spoke with Josh. After providing dimensions, and in-depth specifics of service we were looking for, he promptly turned us over to a co-worker. Michelle got on the phone and began to repeat every single question and detail we had just talked over with Josh. With the exception of one single point - they don't do any blinds hung higher than 15'. Josh had our dimensions - why didn't he simply tell us that fact? Michelle further stated that he had left left work for the day. This is how you treat your potential customers? Why would we want to go any further? Treating us as if your end-of-work-day is more important than the business we will bring you is not a good business model. I had my entire house of 21 window blinds done! After nearly 16 years of collecting dust and smoke from the fires these blinds really needed freshening up and some minor repair work. Puget Sound Blind Cleaners did everything right. They came in when they said they'd be there, they removed the blinds carefully and in a few days, presto! Clean and repaired blinds installed. I just had nine mini blinds cleaned and repaired. The serviceman was here on the minute of my appointment time. He took all the blinds down and was on his merry way within 15 minutes. It took me half an hour to take just one blind down blind when I painted a couple of weeks ago. The blinds were brought back the very next day sparkling clean and repaired. Well, we ended up with several broken pieces as a result, and the blinds ended up locking into place and we couldn't get them to release. I called PSBC and Michelle was so helpful and accommodating. Very poor customer service! Brought 3 cellular blinds (Bali) in 1-1/2 years ago to be cleaned and re-corded. One of the cords snapped and I brought the blind in, knowing the 1-year warranty had expired. That's when the problems began. The lady said normally the cords last 7-8 years. I asked why this had broken, and expressed concern that the other two could go soon. She said that the little metal divet where the cord goes into the blind at the top was worn and that caused the cord to break. She said the cure would be to "turn" the little ring (divet?) around. Then she said that these were "cheaper quality" and also, did Puget Blinds even do the job because they always put their sticker on the top of the blind, and there was no sticker. I felt she was questioning my integrity, and I knew these were not "cheap" blinds as she suggested. I left without allowing them to restring my blind as I felt they had failed to properly restring it in the first place, and to top it off, offended me as a customer. I do NOT RECOMMEND this company to others. read more
