Pugerudes is a small family operated company which is extremely people oriented. We are very pleased with the customer service and the high quality of the Hunter Douglas products. Pugerudes helped us work through many product design choices given different situations in our house layout. They also helped us time our purchase to take advantage of sale prices. They installed the skylight blinds and were very conscientious about moving their ladders carefully. I have lived in Kent my entire life and always wanted a reason to visit Pugerudes. We just bought a new house so I decided to give them a call for an in-home consultation. I was shocked when the owner, Jill, told me she would come out in just a couple of hours. She arrived promptly at our scheduled time and was able to electronically capture all the measurements in less than 20 minutes. We had a good chat about our options and the design choices I had in mind. The next day we visited Jill in the showroom to test out all the different window treatments and the different options for each. Yes, there are various upgrades for each type of treatment. Ultimately, we chose the Hunter Douglas cellular shades with top-down functionality, light filtering, and light rise handles, which just means we are able to lift the blinds with one hand from the bottom to open them. We also added the blackout inserts for the bedrooms so they would block the outdoor light for longer sleep. There were some higher end shades that my wife and I both loved, but they were almost double the price and we had 24 windows and 2 sliding glass doors to cover. It's nice to know that there are plenty of options at every price point. Jill and her husband Dave were both fantastic. I asked a lot of uncommon questions and she had a satisfactory answer for all of them. Dave was able to come out the day the blinds arrived at the store and install them in less than 3 hours. It was a very quick 14 day turnaround, but I heard the lead times for Hunter Douglas have tripled recently due to new COVID protocols. The lead times they provide are pretty accurate so there are no surprises and communication via text was perfect for me. I appreciate being able to get a quick answer without writing an email or picking up the phone. I am extremely satisfied with my new Hunter Douglas cellular shades. Over the course of my life I have owned three different types of Hunter Douglas shades: 1-inch metal, 2-inch wood, and now cellular. Overall, the price is commensurate with the top quality professionalism, experience, and communication. You aren't going to get this level of customer service at a big box store, so you'll need to level set your expectations if you go that route. P.S. Make sure you purchase window treatments that match your specific needs regardless of your budget. For most people, blinds for your home are a one-time purchase. Don't try to save money by buying the cheapest blinds, especially if they don't afford any level of privacy (see-through) or have any insulating properties. You will not be happy in the long run and realistically regret your decision daily! Just my two cents. read more

I could be mad at myself for not having spent considerably less for window services from Home Depot or the like. Instead, I'm super happy that I chose Pugerudes. I had no idea that it was a family owned business (which has gotten more important to me over the years), and they put quality and care into their work. There was a mistake around measurements of the windows (and I've learned I also have some unique window structures in my 1906 house), but Dave didn't give any vibe of anger or even frustration - he rolled with it, gave a new date for installation to receive shutters that would properly fit my windows, and came back as quickly as possible with a stunning installation. I called them for a blind repair, the customer service I got from them is far from even standard customer service. First of all, I get their information from the brand's website as authorized retailer and services. I called them, a girl pick up the phone, I tell her what kind of blinds we have and which part is broken, I asked for a quote, she asked me to bring the blinds in, then I asked how much they charge for restringing and how much they charge if the motor and transmission is broken, then without explaining anything, she was referring me to a local blinds repair guy with an attitude. I am calling you because you guys are "authorized" otherwise I would've just googled "blinds repairs near me"!! Come on, I think any customer service can do better this!! I would not recommend Pugerudes for interior design. Their bidding process was unprofessional and took a very long time to complete. SUMMARY: Pricing- 4 Star. Great value for what we paid (but we paid :D). They're custom and they use mostly higher end blinds / hardware, so they're not going to be cheap. But than again, you get what you pay for. In the end, we felt like we got exactly what we wanted, at a very fair price for the design / materials / shades. Service- 5 star. Only ever worked with Jill and Dave (husband and wife owner's). Really pleased with Jill's design suggestions, advice on shades, etc. Dave did a fantastic job installing. Quoted accurate timeframes and were on time for delivery and install. Products- 5 star. Draperies and valance were really well made, with great fabric selections (we did a silk with a rope trimming) and Hunter Douglas shades. All look great, work great, get lots of compliments so can't complain. Time to Complete- 5 star. Knew when they'd be there, how long the drapes would take, and were kept updated in advance of any appointments and installs. DETAIL: We used Pugerudes shortly after we completed construction of our home in the Graham, WA area on a referral from an interior designer who helped with the furniture and decorating of our home. The house was custom built so there was a lot of non-typical window sizes and layouts and we were baffled by how to do window treatments (we made alot of our own decisions throughout the home building process but what to do with an 8' tall bay window is a bit confusing, especially when you don't want to block the view). Jill visited the house and brought a lot of different samples and fabrics with her. We were impressed by her understanding of what we wanted to achieve and some prompt recommendations based on our other styling selections in the house. The whole process of choosing the drapes, styling, fabrics, and the window treatments was done in home. It took a while, BUT we felt like it was because she was really educating us and making sure we felt comfortable committing to treatments that were going to be semi-permanent. Most of the bid was written up in the house too so before she left, we did have a hard number to look at. We're not the kind to just take one bid though and reached out to a few other places, including a few department stores, and the company currently featured at Costco. I can say that going through extra bids ultimately felt like a waste of time. A lot of the salespeople who showed up at the house either didn't have samples, had incorrect samples, didn't know what their own availability was, etc. Pricing varied quite a bit (some a lot lower than Pugerudes, and some a lot higher), but in the end, Jill's plan was not only our favorite, it "felt" right. It took a few weeks to get the drapes made and all of the window hardware and blinds in (which we knew beforehand), Dave (Jill's husband) was the installer. Everything went in as planned and without a hitch (no missing parts, no problems with the drape measurements, etc). We HAVE recommended them to other people (friends and family) which I guess should tell you something. read more

So I must have came in at a bad time, I see all the good reviews and I'm kinda jealous. When I came in there was no one there to greet me, I thought "They must be in the back doing stuff." So I waited, and eventually heard a couple arguing in the rear area. I heard some rather uncomfortable things being said by a guy who later I realized was one of the owners.
