The staff is very nice and helpful. They are always very polite and friendly. Dr. Gray is part of this group and he with his PA and Nurse are a great team. His and their focus on the patients and their needs and the way they engage with the patient on explaining everything is great. Dr. Yearian is an egotistical a-hole. He was rude, condescending, and extremely arrogant. He actually referred to what I wanted for my health, for me to be healthy, to get the best service, as wanting "to get your way." Shouldn't my desire to get healthy and protect my interests align with the doctor??? He actually told me to stop talking and listen. WTF??? He shouldn't speak that way to his child, least of all a grown adult. It was horribly rude and condescending. At the point he told me that he knew I didn't know something. I told him he couldn't possibly know what I know. He doubled down and said he did. Dr. Yearian is a monumental asshole. He's toxic for your business. The receptionist and PA were great. The "physician" I saw was useless. I don't know his name because he didn't bother introducing himself and he is not even listed on their website. For the entire 10-15 minutes I spent with him he seemed confused and preoccupied, was completely unhelpful and not at all thorough. I tried to give as much information as I could about my chronic knee pain and he did literally nothing. Did not actually examine my knee, just awkwardly lifted my leg and moved my knee cap around and asked "does that hurt". And then said he could do an mri "if I want" but my x ray was "pristine". And I know for a fact it's a muscle/connective tissue problem from an MRI I got five years ago, so yeah I wanted an updated mri and of course my x ray would show no issues. And then he said there was nothing else he could do except the mri and refer to PT (which I've been to 3x before and has not helped). I know I have some sort of underlying issue causing my chronic pain, and he was absolutely no help. I also mentioned my hyper mobility to him, to which he said "yea I figured", so I didn't even bother mentioning that I'm pretty sure my joints partially dislocate frequently. It was obvious that he either did not know what he was doing or simply did not care to help me, or both. Literally useless. read more

Only because I can't give zero stars. My wife injured her knee and went to urgent care for an xray. Armed with that she scheduled an appointment with her existing orthopedic doctor at Puget Sound Orthopedics. She got in fairly quickly, saw the doctor who determined that she needed an MRI. This is where the experience goes off the rails. The onsite MRI provider refused to perform the MRI because of a stent my wife has in her head due to an aneurism. My wife spent over 40 years as a health care professional and has had MRIs previously and this limitation has never come up before. She spent at least two weeks working tirelessly to get this roadblock removed all while she suffered a good deal of pain. The only way she got her MRI scheduled was to force the practice to call her neurosurgeon in Nebraska to confirm that there was no such limitation. Part of her frustration is that there is no way to speak directly with anyone at the practice and her only option was to text with a cranky, non-responsive nurse. She went to get her MRI on a Saturday morning and was left with the instructions that it was okay to walk short distances on flat pavement. To this moment, 6 weeks out from her injury, PS Orthopedics has not provided her with the results of her MRI nor a plan for recovery. Fortunately, my wife's primary care doctor was able to get her in with a MultiCare orthopedic surgeon who read her MRI, diagnosed it as a fracture, and made her non-weight bearing for 6 weeks. The advice to do short walks was exactly the wrong plan. My advice is to run away from Puget Sound Orthopedics as fast as your orthopedic problem will allow. read more

Reading all the comments about the horrible care, and lack of concern about pain and the rudeness of docs and their team doesn't surprise me at all. The world of medicine has changed to where many providers don't care and treating pain is no longer considered important-it was important when they made maximum profits w over prescribing oxy but now the patient suffers because the doc doesn't want the hassle of prescribing even for severe pain. Bottom line the entire healthcare field values profits over people -that's reality. And they are allowed to be rude, dismissive and arrogant but if the patient speaks up now that's called harassment. read more

If your doctor here insists on surgery, please, please, please get a second opinion first! More on that below. First, by law doctors are still required to wear mask. Phillip Yearian apparently thinks this means below his chin and Dr Ghidella thinks this means your mask can just hang freely without being strapped or tied. The arrogance demonstrated over their non-mask compliance continued with their attitudes. Dismissive and rude, and both eager to push surgery to the point I was downright harassed by scheduling even though I made it clear a second opinion would be sought. Thankfully I did seek out a second opinion, and a third opinion, and surgery was not necessary. For my second issue I went to PT and was advised, again, there would be no reason for surgery for an issue that could easily be addressed with adherence to physical therapy. I got a referral to go to this office from the emergency room on January 5, 2024. I waited and waited and then I tried to call and call no answer went straight to voicemail which is very odd for it to be a doctors office. Especially in the middle of business hours. When I finally got someone on the phone, it was too late. I had been admitted into the hospital for the exact reason I got my referral to this office. I wasn't told that they weren't taking any patients, I wasn't told that my insurance was not accepted. So I'm still wondering why I'm not able to be seen I was finally told that the doctor denied medical services to me when I asked why no one had an answer. When I asked For to be put in writing no response, no phone call no email no nothing. Communication in this office is terrible. They also leave patients hanging. I'm still in the hospital this very day. I wouldn't advise anyone to go to this office. You will not get communication and the doctors will deny you medical services for no reason at all. So thank you to the doctor that denies people medical services. It's terrible that you took a note to do no harm and you're doing exactly that. read more

I went here today for an appointment to see dr Ari Holtzman. This was for a referral from the emergency room visit 7 days ago, I had a seizure fell, now have 4 compression fractures in my middle spine. The ER doctor said that I needed to see this doctor to get more pain medication, because he could only prescribe 4 days worth, I have been home from work, waiting to see this doctor to find out the extent of the damage. When I checked in I filled out patient intake form and described what happened that my back and neck hurts. I Rated the pain a 9. I go back they take X-rays of my middle back, didn't even check my neck. Dr comes in, I told him what happened, and asked what this means, do I need surgery or what? He said I didn't need surgery and showed me the 4 compression fractures in my spine. He then asked me if the ER doctor prescribed me pain medication, I told him yes and what it was and that I was running out, because I was only prescribed enough for 4 days. he then said verbatim "oh I don't like "" pain medication because of its addictive potential, so we are going to taper you off of them" . But never offered any other help with the pain or any taper off. I left with a note to go back to work and not lift over 10lbs, which my work wont accept because the details were to vague, so they asked for another more specific letter on the limitations, I called and left a message at the desk and sent a message on the mychart. Still no response. They scheduled me for follow up for 3 weeks to check to make sure none of the bones moved. I feel disregarded about my pain. His bedside manor is terrible, I felt talked over, and ignored, like I'm not allowed to be in pain when there's broken bones involved. I'm sorry but this place had me questioning my own sanity. I'm normally a pretty tough person, and don't complain. BUT MY BACK IS BROKEN, 4 COMPRESSION FRACTURES. And I'm supposed to take IBUPROFEN 7 days after this occurred. read more

My daughter came in today for an appointment. She has severe scoliosis. The doctor we saw was great. Good service. However he recommended she see a specialist, when I called that specialist, they said they needed a referral just to book the appointment. Here is the issue, I called them back and was put on hold over & over. After almost a 20 minute wait, I got a hold of someone who transferred me over to a voicemail. So no referral. Referral should have been given then & there at the appointment. Now we will be set back for days. Front desk needs more staff and better customer care. read more

I called and made an appointment in the Lakewood office for my broken leg. The front office didn't check if they were in my insurance network, and they didn't find out until I was in the room after getting X-rays from them. I was assured I will not receive a bill from this visit as it should have been verified before I came in for the visit, and that the issue would be looked into with the front office. I ended up receiving a bill from them in a month or so and when I called the office, I had the unfortunate experience of dealing with the rudest, most incapable billing lady I have ever had to speak with. Telling me their employees would never say I won't be billed, and that's just not possible. She wouldn't let me speak to anyone else, and basically would just repeatedly tell me what happened didn't happen and isn't possible. Obviously this is frustrating and she hung up after not even trying to help me in the slightest bit. This is not a review on the dr or the people that helped with my X-rays or care, they were all amazing. But they need to figure out what's going on with the whoever is running billing in the office. read more

Dr Blair and his staff do not care about their patients. Patient care is non-existent here. I have an injury that is leaving me in tears and they will not prescribe any pain medications to ease my discomfort. They basically want their patients to suffer. If you are dealing with pain, don't bother with this office. They do not care if you're in pain. Also, I have medical insurance through my employer. They treat you like a drug addict off the street. Husband has had two back surgeries within the past two years here. I've been to most of the appointments with him and I can attest to his frustration. The process is very slow after you get called into the back room. You can be waiting for up to a half hour before you get the doctor back here. Husband says when you call you're on hold for a long time and that almost no time is actually spent with him, most of it is spent waiting, waiting waiting. Then the doctor is in and out of the room. I have noticed that the last two tim we've gone, this hasn't been our experience. He does like both doctors that he's connected with here, although he's nervous because he doesn't feel like he's getting any better. They mentioned maybe surgery #3. But that's not on them either, that's on LNI and them not approving all of the surgery that was recommended. We're praying we get to update this post to more stars one day. read more

My daughter was misdiagnosed and we were asked to schedule surgery on a condition she did not even have. Luckily their billing department is as bad as their doctors. They refused to schedule an appointment for me because they said I owed them money from the last appointment (I've never had that happen in my life). They could not tell me how much I owed or why. I ended up paying them a random amount and getting it refunded later just so they would give us customer service. So, luckily this turned me off on this office. This review is for my wife. She has needed the services of Dr. Hassan many times through the last several years. She went to him in the beginning wanting her fingers cut off due to the pain and he said, "I can fix that" and he did. Thanks to his talent he has removed a tremendous amount of pain from my wife's life. Her back surgery was done by Dr. Martin and was successful on removing more pain from her life. While the staff is friendly and understanding, the customer service is sub-par. EVERY time I have called with a question or to make an appointment, I wait for at LEAST 20 minutes for someone to answer. I have literally driven to the office to make an appointment so I wouldn't waste my time on hold. Stitches were "accidentally" left in my family member's leg, which caused more problems. Overall just not good experiences with this clinic. read more

UPDATE to review below: turns out physical therapy that Dr. Blair recommended was great. The only issue is that Dr. Blair did not seem to understand that the osteoarthritis that I have was not causing my symptoms. I had to visit Harbor View medical center for them to tell me that these were two separate issues. Why would Dr. Blair not know that sciatica is not typically caused by osteoarthritis higher up on the spine? It would have helped save me some time, but he wasn't bad: overall friendly and willing to help. Without even looking at my back (just an x-ray), Dr Blair gave me a prescription for physical therapy. When I had a follow up question about my condition, and I called twice, he never called me back. I've NEVER had that happen with any doctor. Bottom line: Dr. Blair did not care for me or about me. In addition, the office never sent my records to the physical therapist. Lowest rating. read more

This doctor is first and foremost PERSONABLE which means so much to my husband in order to move forward with talking to the doctor about the issues. The medical community is one of those rare businesses where you pay to be inconvenienced. This clinic shares in that one special benefit. Now what I write below didn't come to me instantaneously. It required almost one years time and experience combined to bring about the final epiphany. Patronize this clinic if the following appeal to you 1. Pay first......than we talk. 2. You are either unemployed, or retired, and spending an hour and a half or more in a waiting room is a pleasurable distraction from an otherwise boring day 3. You find communication as an unnecessary nuisance and prefer to be treated like a sack of potatoes in the waiting room. 4. You enjoy spontaneity and don't mind being notified of your surgery less than 12 hours prior to the assigned time. Avoid this clinic if this is your expectations 1. You have an active life involving career and family and spending an hour and a half in a waiting room is unacceptable 2. You make a commitment to be on time for your appointment and you expect to be seen on time in return 3. You want at least five minutes with the doctor 4. You expect to be part of the communication loop and kept current of delays 5. You want to know your surgery date and TIME as far in advance as you need it to be Last: my deepest sympathies for all the elderly who have no choice but to be content with whatever treatment is provided to them. read more

Although I had previously left a better review on Dr. Hassan, my opinion has changed tremendously after my last experience. He has never been a good communicator and I had accepted this as I needed a surgeon not a friend. However, his lack of communication and unwillingness to listen cost me dearly this time. A routine shoulder surgery has turned into a nightmare and has resulted in an extreme case of frozen shoulder because he would not listen to my complaints of continuing pain. I am now seeing a different surgeon who tackled the frozen shoulder with MUA. Now he must address the original issue that Hassan did not. 6 months of pain. Limited sleep. All because of an unwillingness to listen. read more

So I first met Dr. Vaughan six years ago when he repaired my leg from a motorcycle accident. Two plate and 12 pins later i was put back together and the end results were beyond good. I walk 15 to 20 mins 2 times a day and i do very well however 8 weeks ago I fell and it was not good. I made a appointment in his office and getting the appointment was easy and they were nice. I get to the office and the front desk was also nice. I didn't wait long. I was not real busy. X rays were quick, nice people also the air was so happy. I just love Dr Vaughan great doctor from the very 1st day I met him. I didn't hurt anything and all I need to do is knee conditioning. What a happy camper I am. I have never meet a better group. I heard about this place from my dad as he got his rotator cuff surgery/care done here - no complaints and super happy with the establishment and the doctor he saw. SO needless to say my expectations were pretty dang high. I got scheduled the same day, and the front desk was super helpful and friendly. That's where my good experience with this place ends. I came in with severe hip pain and a diagnosis of hip impingement from my Physical Therapist and I needed imaging on my hip to see what was going on. Dr. Vaughn came in and immediately started talking AT me, not TO me. The case history was brief and surface level. Physical exam was brief, and anytime I tried to add information to the data he gathered, he brushed it off. He made me feel like I was bothering him by trying to provide information. At the end, he told me information I already knew, and he did not plan for next steps, what could be causing my hip pain, etc. I had to drag information out of him. Anytime I asked him a question, I felt like I was wasting his time. He had the attitude of , "oh your x-ray is normal, so there's nothing wrong with you, so why are you here?". I had total knee replacement done with Puget Sound Orthopaedics. This review is for the office, not my doc. This is a busy office. There appear to be many systems in place to accomodate that, but, in my opinion, the patient is the last person on the list as far as communication goes. I was given my surgery date about 2 months in advance and then heard nothing for a long time. I called and asked about presurgery appointments, etc. and they mailed those to me with the first date being in a week. Depending on your job, a week's notice is not a lot of time to arrange competent coverage for the time missed. I have always found it to be a challenge to get ahold of anyone at the office. They have these layers of phone people you must negotiate to do anything and there are "holds" before you then get to a voicemail and have to wait for a call back. There is no direct line to anyone as far as I can tell. The voicemail message says to dial the extension if you know it, but it must be a very privileged few who have those direct numbers. All people are professional if not friendly. My only frustration is the challenge of getting ahold of someone when you need a refill or information. read more

I broke my clavicle pretty badly and Dr. Vaughan and PA Angie Baker were there to fix me! I was able to schedule an appointment quickly and get my surgery set up. I was pretty miserable and their compassion and efficiency was phenomenal. I was able to call and hear back from Dr. Vaughan or Baker within 24 hours if I had any concerns or questions. I'm almost 100% now and I am thrilled with the care I received. I always felt like I was in the best of hands. If I need to get my plate out or if anything pops up (hopefully not my clavicle again...) I will absolutely be back. read more

My visit to this clinic was a complete waste of time. The doctor was in the exam room for no more than five minutes. It was very strange. All he did was check my reflexes and tell me I would need an MRI. He made no attempt as far as I could tell to diagnose my condition, and said nothing about what might be causing my pain or what I should do. He offered no medications and no referrals, recommendations for home treatment, or anything else. It was almost like I wasn't even there. I returned to the front desk and told them that the doctor wanted me to schedule an MRI. They said that they did not schedule the MRI, and had no information about what the doctor wanted. Finally they called a nurse to the front desk who told me that someone would call me in about a week to schedule the MRI. I don't know why it should take a whole week just to schedule an MRI. It has been two weeks now since my visit and no one has called me. read more

I had recent bone spur removal and a ligament release with Dr. Yearian. He has a wonderful, warm personality and is an excellent surgeon. Highly recommended foot surgeon. I've also had knee replacements with Dr. John Gray, who is a very caring and skilled doctor. It is a busy office housing a number of orthopaedic surgeons. I love the computer check-in system for existing patients. Efficient and easy to use. read more

Doctor was great-communication was non-existent. If I did not keep calling (and calling and calling) I got no where. Don't leave messages-you never get a response back! If you want to know anything you have to actually schedule an appointment, pay your co-pay and GO IN to talk to someone. For a person with a job, this is irritating. read more
