I was going to take my friend to another Carribean restaurant but this place was recommended to me by the shopkeeper.. I could not believe I'd not known of this place existence!
We were warmly greeted and everything was explained thoroughly, what portion to expect, spice levels, flavours . They offer lunch time deals and food included plantain, dumplings, various curries and stews.
I almost chose a hake dish but my weakness is goat curry so I tried that with a splash of yogurt and pomegranate. My friend had the peppered steak. We also shared some dumplings, rice and peas and haloumi. My companion is not a fan of this cheese but she tried some after I couldn't stopped raving about it. There was no squeaky rubber texture and the flavours were bang on.
She ended up loving it.
Everything was made fresh was of perfect spice blend and consistency. We shared a rum cocktail for £18 this was also superb in flavour.
I am definitely coming back here, I would advise you walk that little bit further from Turtle Bay to have a much more tastier and authentic experience read more
