I like to find somewhere a bit different that doesnt follow every other shop in the world and somewhere that is cheap as well. Here you dont have to go looking for that stupid code on the back of the card, the price is there for you. So much easier.

They have a wide range of books and lots had 75 per cent off they also sell diarys. calenders and a decent range of cards staff seemed polite and helpful so i cant complain. This book store isnt as big as the one in the manchester arndale but served its purpose .

As pointed out by Ruth, there's so many card shops in Oldham, whether they're branded and big names like this one, inside supermarkets like Sainsbury's or on the Oldham Tommyfield Market, and in a way this place lacks a special feel. Gifting and giving cards is supposed to be something nice, but in a way this store lacks that feel because it is so old-fashioned in its' decor, making it probably not the nicest place to shop, and with the rise of online giants such as FunkyPigeon and MoonPig, this store surely needs to do more to survive such as improving how their stores feel, making them feel more modern. I admit, Clintons have done that with some stores, but this store has the old logo, the old sign and feels left out. The staff didn't seem too friendly either, and I'm not just saying that because one of the staff members on the shop floor didn't like my idea of changing their name to Trump's Cards or Crooked Hillary's to suit the recent 2016 Presidential Election. The store seemed a little depleted and most of the cards seemed more "old" cards, which you probably would get for an older family member rather than a friend, which still is a bad feeling to have on Christmas Eve. Overall, this store is old-fashioned and really isn't the best place to get cards, as simply everything about this store is old, not modern with poor service and lack of friendliness from the staff while still comanding a high price-tag, with some cards being around £3 or £4.

This branch of Ryman is quite a nice branch, and is one of the nicer, larger and more modern…read morebranches I have seen, even beating branches in the centres of large townd such as Manchester's 2 branches and Leeds' in the Merrion Centre, which is quite impressive for a branch in Oldham. My main purpose of visting this store today was to return two lever arch folders which has broken, one with a receipt and one without, the staff were quite helpful in arranging a replacement for the one without a receipt and a full refund for the folder with a receipt. The staff did seem nice enough but it was frustrating to have to wait a few minutes for the supervisor to process the return, and then wait a few minutes while they find the exact same folder which had broke, they didn't have it in the shop floor and had to spend time trying to find it - They were not able to offer me a product at the same price, such as in a different color. Eventually they did find it - The service was satisfactory. The range in the store was quite good to fulfil your Stationery and office needs, pads and pens, printers and ink, and filing seemed to be a strong point. It is worth noting the store is much nicer inside than it looks and deserves a high three star rating and is probably one of my favorite Ryman branches from the sic that I have visited in Manchester Arndale Centre, Manchester Oxford Road, Leeds Merrion Centre, Rochdale and Wilmslow. UPDATE: I sadly feel this store deserves a demotion from 3 stars to a single one star, due to my treatment from staff, I was effectively told to not return any more items at this store and shouted at, blaming the entire problem on me when it must have been a problem with the batch and not myself doing anything. I felt the supervisor was just really rude to me, in the way she spoken to me, rather than addressing the problems I reported, she seemed arrogant and rude rather than wanting to fix the issue for myself and future customers.
