During this 2 weeks I sent doctor Mathur emails to keep her updated so, I could be treated immediately when I returned. So, Dr,. Mathur took off January 29 and is never in the office on Mondays and works only a half a day on Fridays. I limped home and arrived in the United States on January 28, 2026, and On January 29, 2026, Dr. Mathur informed me that she taking the day off on January 30. Yes, she really did. After 2 weeks of emails she tells me the day before I needed to see her, that she was taking the day off. For the second time during my short concierge period, she referred me to another doctor. Unprofessional and lack of concern for my well-being. I canceled my agreement with the office.

Kuperschmit, MD and his team)…read more Very disappointing billing experience Before my colonoscopy, I specifically asked whether the procedure would be billed and covered as preventive. The office staff and the doctor verbally assured me multiple times that it would be covered as preventive. We also requested predetermination confirmation before proceeding. The doctor said that preauthorization was sent to insurance, but I later learned that it was never submitted. That is a serious problem because I relied on their statements when deciding to move forward with the procedure. After the procedure, I received a large bill because the claim was submitted under a different CPT code after a polyp was found and removed. I am not disputing that removing a polyp may be medically appropriate. My issue is that no one clearly warned me beforehand that this could change the billing outcome and create major patient responsibility. Patients should not be reassured that something is covered as preventive, told that insurance confirmation will be handled, and then later be surprised with a large bill due to coding changes and lack of actual predetermination. I am disputing the bill and requesting a billing review. I would strongly recommend getting every billing, coding, and insurance statement from this office in writing before proceeding.

When I walked in I was immediately greeted by 1 of 3 receptionist and handed her my referral form. She asked for my ID and insurance card and had me fill out some information. She was very friendly and explained everything to me. I waited only about 10 minutes before the tech, Scott, called me back. He was friendly and explained the test they were going to do and how it would work and really made me feel comfortable. Once the doctor came in, Dr. Griffith, she asked if I had anymore questions or wanted things explained again. When I said no,she even told me that if I remembered something or a question came up during the procedure to interrupt her and she'll answer it. It was very refreshing that the doctor actually took the time to make sure I understood what was going on and made sure I really didn't have any questions. The procedure itself was pretty painful, but Dr. Griffith and Scott were very supportive and helped me deal with it without making me feel like a wimp. Dr. Griffith was actually performing it, but Scott was by my side the whole time and reminded me to breathe and rubbed my arm, not in a creepy, weird way, but in a caring and supportive way. The actual test sucked, but they made a not so great experience bearable and for that I'm very grateful.

I explained to the doctor that I have had Cortisone injections for my shoulder issue before and they have no effect on the problem. The doctor knew better and decided I needed a Cortisone injection. The injection was very painful, did not relieve any of my pain and now I am in even more pain. Would not recommend going here for any type of treatment.

I'd like to thank a few people that acted extremely professionally and should be commended. *Specifically Mary who took care of getting mom checked in and prepped for surgery and took care of an issue we thought we would have to deal with but didn't. It was greatly appreciated and unexpected. She was also very patient and knowledgeable. *Kevin (or Keith lol just kidding) who took care of mom during recovery. He was gentle, steadfast, and devoted to meeting moms needs. He was very patient and caring. He truly cares about the safety of the patients. *Beth who was the PA throughout and voice of reason in the end. Thank you for bringing common sense into the equation when it was desperately needed. The Doctor of Anesthesia (regretfully I forget his name) was truly a class act. I made 7 attempts to reschedule an appointment with Dr. Granada. In doing so, I routinely waited on hold for more than 25 minutes, only to receive unhelpful return calls from his office instructing me to call the office for an appointment...which started the process of waiting on hold and receiving an unhelpful return message all over again. After a week of attempt to reschedule the appointment Dr. Granada missed, I received a message that the doctor would be unavailable for appointments for the entire following week. This practice and this doctor do not have any care or concern for their patients at all. RUN!

Dr. Bonomo connected us to other Inova physicians and surgeons, yet continued to follow up with her progress even after others had taken over the case. She is the self-appointed president of his fan club. I am pleased to report it has gotten easier to get follow up appointments. (I love the MyChart patient portal system but that's not the way to go for scheduling; you are better off calling the office directly.) The Fairfax building is gorgeous and a delight to visit. I also recommend the Ballston office. You can literally park on the curb outside the door and be in the office 30 seconds later. Ballston doesn't have the advantage of having a whole complex (lab, cafeteria, adorable gift shop, access to other docs) right there, but for a basic visit it's so convenient.
