I do not - and will NEVER, recommend this practice. A totally rude staff - technicians who appear to be undertrained and who, at best, stumble through their tasks. Myself, and other patients, are treated more of an inconvenience, than patients. My first appointment was with a nurse practitioner that lasted less than 10 minutes. Very few questions were asked, was informed that some tests would be ordered, then sent on my way. TWO days later, I received a phone call. The caller stated that ".....to prevent my 'DEATH' or prevent my hospitalization, it is "Strongly" recommended that I enroll in their "On-Line", self help, breathing program. When asked how they could recommend this, or any program, WITHOUT any tests being run, I was told that the doctor sent the order. I told them I would wait until all tests are completed, and consult with my primary for a second opinion. I still receive a phone call every two weeks concerning the program. This is an updated report - this is in addition to my previous review as to why I WILL NOT recommend this business. I have made three (3) office visits and completed numerous tests. I just received a phone call stating that my primary sent in a request -( this request was sent in months ago ). They would like to schedule an "initial" office visit. I informed them that I am a current patient - their reply ..... "oh.." This is a business that cannot bother to check their files to see if I am/was a patient. I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience with this doctor's office was extremely disappointing. I was referred here by my primary care doctor for a persistent cough. After providing my insurance information, they scheduled an appointment. When I arrived, I was seen by a nurse practitioner instead of a doctor. She asked basic questions but when I asked if she had reviewed my medical records, she said yes--then admitted she hadn't actually looked at them. That was my first red flag. She ordered two studies and suggested it might be asthma, then sent me on my way. When I went to schedule the tests, they gave me two separate appointments. I asked why everything couldn't be done in one visit, and I was told it was "for insurance purposes." It felt very misleading, and I later realized this likely meant they were trying to bill my insurance twice instead of once. That was enough for me to decide not to return. Fast forward to this week--I started receiving a bill for a "no-show fee." I had canceled the appointments when they called to confirm, yet I'm still being charged. Overall, the experience felt disorganized, unprofessional, and financially driven rather than patient-focused. I would not recommend this office. read more

I can honestly say that Dr. Sayal almost killed me. He spent years misdiagnosing my condition. I finally convinced him to order a CT scan, but then he apparently couldn't read it once he saw it and immediately ordered another CT scan days after the first one. My insurance obviously turned him down... I don't know if the word "quack" was in their response, but it should have been. It was at this point I personally started questioning his sanity. He then ordered a money-making sleep study out of the blue which they perform in his office. His nurse was yelling at me that her doctor had prescibed it, and therefore I was compelled to do it. I tried to calmly explain "advise and consent" to her, but finally just had to tell her to go pound sand. I then really knew I had to flee from Pulmonology Group. I went to a medical group in California, that did one CT scan and immediately correctly diagnosed me in minutes. Unfortunately, my lungs had gotten so bad by then I ended up in the ICU for a week dying of lung failure. I can't say this strongly enough. Please stay away from this practice! In my opinion, it is about making money and not about patient care. Also in my opinion, Dr. Sayal is not a competent pulmonologist! read more

Absolutely awful. Don't prescribe me a medication that you can't keep in stock and then not discuss or have an alternative after it's continually a problem. Don't call to confirm my appt and give me the wrong date where I have to correct you and then you not acknowledge the problem to clear up the confusion. And don't confirm my appt 53 minutes before the appt time, but when I arrive tell me that you don't have my medication and don't know when you will, so you'll call me. You won't call me, this isn't the first time I've been told I'll be called. No one ever calls, enough time goes by that I call you and now someone says the medication is in even though I had not received a call from anyone. What is going on at this office?? When I first started seeing Dr Sayal, it was easy to contact the office via phone. Fast forward to the current day, I call and there's no answer and the voicemail picks up. I've left several voicemail messages over this year and not one of them has been responded to. It's a 40 minute drive one way to Dr. Sayal's office for me, so it's not that I am nearby and can stop by for assistance. With the cost of everything rising, no patient should have to drive to the office for assistance. Last week, I did just that. When I enter, I see one of the young ladies at the front desk on the phone, which is the person that's usually eating and on her cell phone whenever I come in for an appointment. The other young lady at the front desk appeared to be new, as I haven't seen her before. I tell her that I've been calling all morning since they've opened and the phone just rings and goes to voicemail. She just says oh the phones have been busy today. I told her this happens no matter when I call. There was no empathy there at all. When you do have an appointment, it's a long wait. The waiting area is overcrowded. Granted I don't know what others are being seen for, yet at my last visit, I witnessed people that came in long after I did get waited on before me. This office has a lack of respect for people's time. Now, when Elise was here, she was thorough and listened to you. On the other hand, when being seen by Dr. Sayal, the visit is rushed literally. Your questions get overlooked, as well as your concerns. While I have tried to give them the benefit of the doubt, a patient not being able to get in contact with the physicians office via phone is ridiculous. No patient should have to physically go to the office to take care of something that can be done via phone. I wrote a note and faxed it to the office. The fax was transmitted successfully. Yet, I still have not heard from anyone at the office. I tried calling again and still no one answers the phone. If there's an office manager here, please feel free to call me. Hopefully, the office manager will see this and do something about it, so that phone calls are answered and calls are returned after voicemails are left. The goods- - Nurse Practitioner Sam was excellent - tech conducting breath test was great The bads- - I had to take the day off of work AND I have to pay $50 per appointment. So it was frustrating I didn't receive the quality of care expected - My appointment was at 1:30. I arrived at 1:20. I wasn't taken back to a room until 2:20. Didn't see the doctor until 2:45 - Doctor said I need more testing, he sat with me for 5 minutes. Said I will have to come back a couple more times ($50 a visit) to go over test results. He then prescribed me a allergy pill that has a black box warning. When I expressed my concerns with side effects he said, "if you start feeling funny, stop taking it." - when I left the room to schedule a telemedicine appointment, and there were rooms full of people with scrubs on their phones - went to schedule a telemedicine appointment and was told by the receptionist I would need to be available for a 2 hour block on a specific date to wait for a phone call. There was no guarantee what time I would be called - I left the office and the waiting room had a line out the door. Patients and staff were yelling at each-other -I left the office and called and canceled everything from my car immediately -the extra tests, the prescription, the telemedicine appointment . They asked me why and I was honest with my overall experience. - as of today, 6/17/2025, I have received confirmation for my tests and prescriptions when I specifically asked for them to be canceled - it is truly disheartening, to try to find answers for ongoing health issues and receive such a low standard of care read more

Game changer! It was my pleasure to be seen as a new patient by Dr Vikas Sayal, FCCP and his staff this afternoon! I was in need for continuity of pulmonary care and was dissatisfied with another provider in town that had unacceptable follow up and totally dropping the ball. I am completely satisfied! I did spend time filling out online new patient forms at home prior to my visit today. I appreciate this as it expedited and helped me prepare for my appointment. Having all of my history readily available helped the staff and Dr Sayal address all of my concerns and issues. I truly feel that I am in excellent hands. I have a good plan now that I feel confident my issues will be safely monitored. There were excellent reviews online of Dr Sayal which led me to seeking care under his direction. So happy. Dr. Sayal has no personality. Every time I have been there he sits with his back to me and doesn't interact with me. He ordered an allergy test and nothing came up which surprised me because I had an allergy test about 5 years ago and it showed I was allergic to a bunch of things. Why did he order an allergy test when I was only there for breathing issues? This place only wants your money and the staff is pretty cold as well. I finally got a breathing test done at St. Rose, through another Dr., and the woman there said that Dr. Sayal and Dr. Chemplavil were two of the worst in Vegas. read more

The nurse practitioner is pretty good. She's knowledgeable and easy to talk to. That's were anything good stops though. They're office staff is the worst. They are either either severely short staffed, incredibly incompetent or a mix of both. Without getting to much into detail, I was prescribed a major prescription for my lung function, one that has to be filled by a specialty pharmacy. Dr Sayals office said that the pharmacy would contact me. After 2 months of nothing I called the pharmacy, they said they had nothing. So I tried to call the admin person, Juliette. It took her TWO WEEKS to call me back and say she had submitted it wrong and she would redo it. Another month goes by of nothing. This time I tried calling Juliette again and despite several messages she still has yet to call me back about it (this was September, it's now November). Also, I've seen another doctor and come to find out, Dr Sayal's office had misdiagnosed me anyway. This practice is the worst I've ever experienced, would recommend to stay very far away from this practice. read more

Be prepared to be there a MINIMUM of 1.5 hrs. I had two appointments and waited over 2 hrs for each of them. The place is always overly packed with people because they stack scheduling and completely over extend themselves. Good luck trying to get through to someone if you call as well. Took me about 7 tries and 3 hours before someone answered. I came in with a breathing problem today and they schedule me for a breath test 3 weeks later... hopefully i dont pass out before then, since not being able to breathe is something that can wait 3 weeks. read more

I have not received a call back yet. I just got a text message asking me to confirm my appointment that I told them (in a voicemail that I need to cancel 3x's). I had the pleasure of meeting Dr Sayal & his staff for the first time at their horizon office under difficult circumstances for myself, as I'm sure many in his practice do. They not only accommodated me by making me time for me right away, but even after a mistake was made putting my appointment into their computer for the following day Dr Sayal still made time to see me on the wrong day despite having a full schedule. I was in agonizing pain, emotional & likely barely understandable & he tolerated every second of it. He ordered STAT testing allowing me to leave his office & get immediate emergency medical attention & also thought ahead enough for additional appointments with him & labwork to ensure my health & safety in the future. At the end of my appointment, the nurse (I am unfortunately not in any condition to remember names) came in with my orders for scans, labs etc. & I just laid my head in my hands to cry. Never in a million years did I expect to feel her hug me where I sat & I cried; but it was everything to me right then. I felt helpless & needed that embrace more than I think even she realized. He does travel from Arizona to Henderson as I read below, but I'm grateful for that as I wouldn't be able to travel to AZ to be his patient. The office is clean, the staff is caring & attentive & you won't sit there all day waiting. You go from check in to room in no time & he is in the room with you in less than 5 minutes. read more

I liked the doctor but the office staff is awfal - no follow up even after calling and calling. Leaving a voicemail on the medical assistant line has proven pointless. Over 6 months ago the doctor recommended a drug and cpap machine after testing. I have yet to receive either . The drug his medical assistant sat on the paperwork for months , called with a question, kept it more months - just submitted last week . They do follow up on bill - I been trying to use the billing to get the medical assistant to do her job - it does force an rare callback to move the process forward a half step. They can not provide a complete doctors's order to the hospital radiology department. I saw Dr Sayal and told him what was happening. He promised it would be taken care of, It has not. Wort customer service I ever received in 26 years. His staff is the most unprofessional that I ever encountered in the years that I live here in Vegas. They lack professionalism, knowledgeable on how to do their jobs and empathy for their clients. I went on my first visit ended up returning right away to have them fixed my lab work order and they still couldn't get my X-ray order done correctly. I called back to ask them to send me a new one, Yailin the front desk clerk told me to come the office and if I didn't like it not to come to the doctor's office anymore. Basically hit the road!! Horrible care for patients they are all about quantity not quality. They are infamous for having patients wait for hours to be seen. Not only new patients but pre existing patients get the same treatment. This doctor comes from Arizona and decided to open a practice here. He opened up last year and saw the overwhelming response but instead of limiting the amount of patients he clearly takes more than he can handle! Absolutely not worth seeing him there are many other around town please don't waste your time with this unprofessional doctor. Not only are the wait times horrible his knowledge for the practice is very minimal. He does nothing special to help patients with allergies he suggested for me to take Zyrtec as if I hadn't been doing that already. My father sees Dr. Sayal and we had some issues. Long story short he has a beautiful hearted Respiratory Therapist there name Kee. She addressed all my dads concerns and delivered excellent service. She took her time she listened and was so sweet and most importantly did what dad needed and went the extra mile. If it weren't for her we were considering another doctor, don't get me wrong he is good but some things need to be fixed one could tell. It really was just a matter of getting through to someone to listen now my dad is doing a lot better and happy with his care. We are forever grateful for kee and we thank her, she made a world of a difference! read more

My mother was seeing Dr. Sayal. She had an incurable disease but there was medication she could take to slow this disease down. Dr. Sent the prescription to her regular pharmacy instead of ordering it through the special pharmacy that sends it to your house. A regular pharmacist does not carry this drug. We told him and his staff numerous times while we were there that my mom needed to fill out the paperwork and they continued to tell us we were wrong. Sure enough our pharmacist calls and tells us that they tried to order it through her and she told them the same thing we did. Call the Dr back and tell him what's going on and the office continued to tell my mom she was wrong. My mom also needed a bigger oxygen machine to live. Dr was told the one she had to wasn't producing enough for her to breathe. He stated my mother had to do a 6 minute walking test to get it. My mom was dying and couldn't walk more than 2 steps on her own and he knew that. My mother passed away from not being able to breathe. I blame Dr Sayal for this. If he would have gave her the bigger oxygen machine or even the damn prescription she needed she would have lived longer. This Dr is a complete joke. Constantly canceling appointments and when you call the office no one returns your call. Also when wed come in for appointments Dr Sayal would look at me and talk to me instead of my mother who was the patient. If your patient is talking to you and asking you a question maybe you should look at her and communicate to her. They only want your money they do not care about you at all. Please please please if your loved one needs a pulmonologist please stay far away from him if you'd like them to get the care they need. read more
