I come from an immigration/security/law enforcement background and have lots of training in use of force as well as some martial arts. Before joining this gym I thought I had nothing to learn. Raymond showed me I know nothing. He has a no-nonsense way of training using real-life scenarios as well as demonstrates amazing skill and teaching ability. Even though it is a group class Raymond makes sure he spends time with each student working on his or her skillset. From day one they made us feel safe after we saw all the safety precautions in place for the safety of students. All equipment is clean and ready to use. The training facility is very clean and organized. There is lots of new equipment available for each student at no cost. I would recommend them to all my friends, male, female or even children. Each class is created for its intended, student. Last but on least I have lost 15 pounds in 2 months of training twice a week. Raymond motivates and inspires you to push yourself. I love the camaraderie of the class very much as well. The level 1 classes are challenging and consist of a lot of cardio and self defense fundamentals. She is a practioner of Taekwon-Do for over 35 years and she is the only woman in North America to receive her 8th Dan. Her passion for Taekwon-Do is highly noted through her classroom instruction. She motivates her students and pushes them to be the best that they can be. The reason why I enrolled my son at White Fang is because the classes are small and all the classes are taught by Master Scarcellone herself. Although she has a few black belt students assisting her in some of her classes, the instruction comes directly from this 8th Dan Master. You cannot ask for anything better than that. She also teaches adult classes as well. I started attending classes here 9 weeks ago on the recommendation of friends that have achieved…read moretheir black belt through this school. It was founded and is actively run by Grandmaster Jong Soo Park who was on the original Taekwondo demonstration team in the 60's and has a long career filled with many achievements and has many accomplished students. The school is very organized and there's always another black belt but sometimes many (I've been in classes with 6+) to help out. Classes start with a group warm up and line drills. The busiest classes of 20-30 are on Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 6pm and Saturday at 11. The kids classes are at 5 and classes at 7 seem to be smaller but still taught by one of Grandmaster Park's blackbelts. The classes are physically and mentally challenging and I'm getting in better shape. The students have been friendly. I've definitely met very cool people. The space itself is very big, well equipped and maintained. The most you will pay for unlimited classes is 100/month on a monthly plan but yearly students that can pay upfront receive a heavy discount that works out to just over 60/month. Of course these prices might change so don't hold me to it! So far so very good!
