From the moment we walked…read moreinto their lovely showroom until the completion of the project we knew that we had found the BEST company to handle our project. Leslie is a dream to work with; her and the entire staff were always so lovely, kind and professional. Leslie and Pablo the project manager stayed in constant contact with me regarding the project and any and every issue was immediately addressed or resolved. Each individual sub contractor that was sent out to the house were absolutely the most friendly, respectful, punctual and skilled artisans in their craft. The electricians were super sweet and always punctual and efficient with their time. The painters were so nice and friendly and incredibly hard workers. They showed up early and literally worked non stop all day each day that they came. Pablo, the head carpenter and all of his guys were so talented and really worked hard to produce their best work! I'll admit I'm a very detailed oriented person to a fault and they really managed to exceed our expectations!! Overall I'd have to say for someone who is a bit picky and expects the best quality of product and craftsmanship and yet appreciates a great value, I'd 100% give Modern Design and Remodeling a full recommendation and stamp of approval! They were such a blessing and I'll be using them for any future projects.

Leslie came to my home for a consultation and truly helped bring my vision to life. Their modern showroom is beautiful and inspiring. The project manager was very responsive and always quick to communicate. The workers were clean, respectful, and took great care to protect all surrounding areas of my home during the work. I felt their pricing was very fair, and the quality of the work exceeded my expectations--beautiful, precise, and completed efficiently. I truly felt like I was their only customer throughout the entire process. I will absolutely be using Modern Design and Remodeling for future projects in my home. If you're on the fence about starting a project, you can't go wrong contacting Leslie to help turn your vision into a reality. Thank you for my beautiful new fireplace!

Two years ago we moved into our house. The first thing I noticed was the walls had FLAT paint, even…read morein the bathrooms (not good). Then I noticed how ALL the wood was PRIMED, not painted (dust will NOT come off easily and the color just rubs off). Next, our tile started cracking! I assumed one of the kids dropped something, but then another crack showed in the kitchen... and our master bath.... then the upstairs bath... aaaand the hallway floor is warping. I freaked out and contacted a foundation specialist. They checked the house, did the measurements... hundreds of dollars later, I'm told the house is fine, but it was put together crappy. He showed me how the tiles weren't all level and how some are hardly secured to the ground. After 6 months of reaching out to these people, Steve Kratky came out to our house and "investigated". He first said that we have no gutters in the back, but we clearly did. He then said we had dawdust on the sides of the house where pests were probably eating the wood, causing the ground to be too dry - we have ALWAYS had pest control treat our house and they can prove that is incorrect. THEN they said the ground is too dry and we need soaker hoses to run every now and then... but ever since the foundation specialist came by 6 months ago and suggested we get those to PREVENT anything from happening, we've had them in and running constantly at a slow rate - just as the specialist informed us. He was trying to make up any excuse for why our tiles are messed up rather than fix the horrible job they did! DO NOT GET A PULTE HOME!!!

Warning to all Homebuyers looking to purchase a Pulte Home!!! Among their most egregious offenses,…read morethey flooded my hardwood floors the first day I moved in, refused to address the emergency until several days after the fact, and made me the bad guy through all of this and all of the other ordeals. Issues that I've had with my brand new Pulte home are coming out of the woodwork left and right and the management at Pulte has been apathetic and neglectful of my issues. I do not recommend Pulte due to the following experiences that I've had with them that are ongoing and they refuse to satisfy the customer. Timeline: June 28th - inspection with Greg. Pointed out a lot of things with blue tape. Fence will have to be moved but Mike agrees we can do it after closing. June 29th - close on the house June 30th - internet installers come and notice the box in the closet doesn't have the coax attachments. Called Greg and he came over with some help to pull out the box, get all the coax cables pulled from behind the wall, and they installed the new box. Appliance people deliver and install my refrigerator, washing machine, and dryer. July 1st - family comes down to help move/see house/celebrate 4th of July July 2nd - move everything into house from storage/old apartment. Start washing dishes from storage and notice leaking water coming up through the wood floor. Decide not to use dishwasher due to leaking and contact Marc/Greg to fix. Marc said to call emergency line so I did. On-Call Tech said it'd be the next morning until someone called/visited to fix the flooding. Meantime - we wash dishes by hand in the sink. Notice flooding is getting worse - large puddles of water appear and standing water on floor is constant. July 3rd-4th - More flooding since leak isn't fixed yet. Floor boards are starting to warp. Baseboards are separating from the drywall. July 5th - Greg contacts me about getting plumber set up and asks if I'm home. I am at work so will not be off. Greg sets up plumber to come on the 6th at 9am along with the floor guy to take estimates of the damage. July 6th - I take the day off of work so they come by and look at the damage and see what's going on. They fix the leak but leave a mess of debris on the outside of the home and on the inside - as well as holes in my house. Greg said a manager (Mike - see contact info below) would call me on Thursday afternoon. July 7th - I'm expecting a call from Mike in the afternoon; 2pm rolls by and no call so I contact Marc and let him know I'm unhappy. He said he would escalate it for me - even though he was on vacation in Florida. Mike calls around 3pm. He's also with another person and he has me on speaker - don't recall who that guys was. He says he's sorry about the issues and they will fix it. I bring up again that I'd like a sprinkler system as a token of good faith and for the inconvenience and he says no. Gives me a spiel about how they're going to put a senior guy in charge of my repairs, but that I have to expect repairs during business hours Monday-Friday. Greg contacts me and says the fence people are at my house fixing the fence and the landscapers will fix the sod on Friday. July 8th - I take off of work to be there for the repair people. No landscapers come as promised. Marc contacts me and asks if I've been called by a manager. I say yes but don't know when everything will be fixed and back to normal. I tell him I just want an irrigation system. Marc says if not a sprinkler system then at least a gift card or something. Get a call from a guy named Eddy with Pulte. He comes over since I'm home from work and we discuss the situation. I tell him that I've been more than patient and professional throughout this whole ordeal and I ask for an irrigation system - he says no way. He said he'd look into the wood being ordered and the drywall people to come over and fix the hole in the kitchen. He also said he'd look into them working later hours to fix my house. July 9th - I discover that the dishwasher does not work anymore. I write up the dishwasher and a few other items that still need fixing on the Pulte website. I become more frustrated with all of the issues that are piling up and send the long email that you received. I am prepared to sue them. July 10th - Discover the hole in the fence as well as nails sticking out of the fence (see pictures). July 11th - Landscapers come and lay sod in the front and back yard - but are missing some more in the front (see pictures). They fix the fence but not before the dog escaped from the yard. I receive an email reminder about the Pulte survey - I fill out the survey and give lots of bad scores. Ask for the director to contact me. *****NO contact for over 60 days!!!***** October 24th - Repairs still are not done.
