It's a little gem across the river from our hotel and well with the time to drop in for cold beer and well-built adult beverages. After finding out that down town bars are closed on Sundays and the one that I wanted to go to was out and so were all others I went on yelp and this was close and open so I went. It's an old school bar with a 70s feel. The owner was friendly and cool. I spotted the makers mark on the wall and ordered up. Next was an old fashion which was weak. The crowd was older and nearly empty on a Sunday. I don't understand why lots of good places in Green Bay are closed on Sundays. If you want to explore Green Bay, Sunday is not the day people. This must be a very religious city. read more

This is one of my favorite dive bars in town. The atmosphere is dark and relaxed. Drinks are relatively cheap. $3.75 for whiskey/cokes (in a rather large cocktail glass) and anywhere from $2-6 for beers. They have snacks behind the bar, a jukebox, pool tables, ample seating and a couple TVs. Last time I was here they were playing Star Wars so it was pretty awesome. They are always open too despite the holidays (I came on Christmas eve and Christmas day). I think it's because the owners live upstairs. read more

Hands down one of the best places to meet with old friends and catch up. Divey without the dirt, $.25 pool and their boneless "wings" (nuggets would be a more apt description) are always a staple as the evening wears on. Apparently is also a hot bed for local sports writers. read more

You walk in and it smells like you just walked down into somebody's nasty basement. You can smell mold. The food was not great. Got a 1/4lb burger, supposedly, and the bun was toasted, ENTIRELY! I couldn't eat it. Can't play good pool, the sticks were very warped. For the price we paid for our drinks, we went to another bar and got more for the same amount. I do not recommend this place, do not stop, pass by them. read more

We love coming to the Pump Room. The place is kept very clean and the beer is cold and fries are hot. The fries are the best hot treat and they usually come unsalted so you can add a much or as little as you like. They have great burgers also and it it easy to talk because the tv or juke box is not too loud. read more

We brought a group of people here late, because we thought it was such a neat, old-school bar. The owner gave us the worst, rudest service I have ever had, anywhere, in my life, for no apparent reason. Driving by this bar is very deceiving. This old looking, white paneled house contains a very spacious and inviting bar. It's well-lit and clean, and the bar has a well organized display of booze bottles on a wood paneled wall. There's plenty of seating which is nice when bringing a group of friends. The beer selection is decent...they only have six taps, three are domestic and the others were WI craft beers. I would look at the signs taped on the wall to see what they have for their bottle and cans as that selection is a little better. We went to the Pump Room on a Saturday night and were the only people in the bar besides the owner. She was rude, the service was poor. She watched cooking shows the entire time, never checking to refill our drinks, we needed to get her attention and she then seemed less than pleased. We were left to feel like she wanted us out.
