After paying for parking and walking in, we were told we had to leave because we're under 21. Legally, we've since learned that Wisconsin doesn't allow anyone under 21 in bars without a food license -- so the venue was within its rights. But there were no signs, no online notice, and no mention in the event info about this policy. We weren't there to drink -- just to enjoy the music and support a friend. I understand the legal restriction, but the lack of communication made the experience frustrating and disappointing. A simple heads-up on the website or social media would have gone a long way.

Gametime Sports Bar in Oshkosh is a true winner! If you're looking for a great atmosphere, fantastic service, and, most importantly, incredible wings, this is the place to be. Let's talk about those wings. Oh my goodness! They are, without a doubt, some of the best wings I've ever had. Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and with a wide variety of sauces that are all bursting with flavor. I've tried several different flavors, and each one has been exceptional. They definitely know how to do wings right. Beyond the wings, the atmosphere is perfect for watching a game or just hanging out with friends. There are plenty of TVs, so you can catch all the action, and the staff is always friendly and attentive. They make you feel welcome and ensure you have a great time. The service is top-notch. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu, quick with refills, and genuinely cared about our experience. Gametime Sports Bar has quickly become my go-to spot for wings and a great night out. We were in town for a game at Lambeau, and we heard that there was a shuttle from Rookie's to the field, which we definitely wanted to make use of! (That's a whole other review, but let's just say, it was an experience I'll never forget, and one I would repeat in a heartbeat!) The crowd here was clearly Packers fans. But, in their defense, they didn't make us opposing team fans feel threatened or not welcomed. Quite the opposite! Once they realized we were going to be respectful of their place and their folks, they welcomed us! The food really is good, especially for the money. It's one of those rare inexpensive places left in this country, where a pretzel appetizer easily feeds a family of four! LOL! I wish there weren't just two of us, because we also ordered boneless wings and cheese curds! Everything was hot and fresh, and it all tasted great. The drinks were large, inexpensive, and cold. No complaints at all. The service was also really wonderful, with friendly staff and very efficient servers. Like I said, nobody gave us a lot of grief for being from out of town. But, we could tell right away, this was a "local spot" and for a very good reason. Locals and regulars definitely make up the customer base, but they keep coming back for all the other reasons provided: good food, good drinks, and very reasonable prices. Example: I offered to buy a beverage for a very nice person who was incredibly helpful to us, specifically in arranging our spots on the shuttle bus. She was drinking a rail Old Fashioned. You know what that cost me? $3.50. That's not a South Park reference. That was what I paid for a rail cocktail! Anyway... if I'm ever in Appleton again, I'm stopping by.
