I was here two nights ago and I CANT stop thinking about my experience. My family is in town from Texas and I am recommending it to everyone! My experience felt like an art museum from start to finish. Perhaps it was the rainy day that added to the ambiance, or was it the lovely and kind and cheerfully humble server? They spoke to us not as customers, but as friends. We felt so genuinely loved, they were so sweet. Having just been to Chicago and eaten all week on Devon Street, I wasn't willing to go no-Indian for too much longer. The cravings came back hard, man. So I looked up R&R and made my husband go in with me at 4:30 two days before Thanksgiving. We both got tikka masala; me, chicken and he, shrimp. Just like I like it, making my eyeballs sweat. Hot and fresh and the naan is beautiful. Atmosphere was great with the Indian MTV playing in the background! Alllll the dancing. Lucky to have a good Indian joint so close to Siloam. Great Indian food. My favorite is of course the tikka masala, I think that's kind of typical.

After a long day of traveling, we stopped in at R&R Curry for a quick meal. We had eaten here before and if I remember correctly, we were pleasantly filled but not necessarily ecstatic about the food. The place is quiet, not at all pretentious, with a couple of TV's showing Indian music videos. The servers were attentive and friendly. As for the food, in an area pretty sparse in varied ethnic cuisine, we found the food to be quite delicious. We were given the option of "mild, medium, or hot" for each dish we ordered and we tried several mild and one medium. We can handle pretty spicy food and I would consider their grading of their spiciness pretty accurate. Flavors were lively and portions were fairly large compared to some Indian restaurants in the center of the state. We came away nicely full with to go boxes filled for our daughter to take home. It takes a lot for me to give any place 5 stars so 4 for this restaurant is pretty darn good. read more

Traveling through Springdale and found this jewel of a place. They are extremely help with gluten free options. I ordered the Non-Veg Thali with papadum instead of naan. They even double checked with the chef to make sure what I wanted would be gluten free. The appetizers were really good and the butter chicken might be one of the best things I've ever eaten! Will definitely be stopping there again the next time we are traveling through. read more

Not authentic. Below average North Indian cuisine. They have a great web site and that is the only positive about this place. The restaurant is more of a dive, Food was not good at all, Rice was thick, Bhatoora was more like a poori, Daal was not cooked properly, Choole tasted like they were made from canned garbanzo beans as opposed to the normal authentic way of cooking.. naan, was really thin and more like a tandoori roti.. might be the only north-indian restaurant in the area, but I would rather had something else.. FOOD and service were an A++ . I had the Chicken Tikka Masala which is a popular dish, and I could see why. We shared a Veg. Samosa, it was served with 3 different sauces, the sweet was my favorite. I've eaten lunch here a few times. The dining room is rather Spartan and has TVs playing Bollywood movies. It can get crowded around noon. There is often only one super efficient waitress working all the tables and the register but service is still very prompt. The food has been very good each time I've visited, especially the tandoori dishes. Their salty laasi is among the best I've ever had. The nan tastes good but could stand to be thicker and chewier. Prices are a bit high and presentation could be improved but otherwise I have no complaints. read more

This is literally my favorite place to eat now. I've never eaten anything on the menu that's bad. The atmosphere is very hole in the wall, which is cool because you can hang out in your pajamas if you want to. I crave the food here. I have to eat here at least once a week or I become aggravated and moody. We got free dessert there once, simply because we were eating there and the staff and owner are genuinely that nice. If you want the best Indian food in Arkansas, this is it. Get the samosas. They'll make you feel happier to be alive than you've ever felt. If you're adventurous, order your food Spicy. Came here because of a friends review from Tulsa, Ok. We ordered tons of food! Chole, palak paneer, daal makhani, shahi korma, kadai paneer, butter naan, tandoori roti, and bhatura (for 2 people). They offer 8 oz sides so we got all the veggies in smaller portions. All great but my favs were shahi korma and kadhi paneer! Very very tasty. Would drive here from Tulsa again! :) read more

Super friendly staff and delicious Indian food. I love that all the entrees are served with rice AND naan. Usually you have to order naan separate at an additional charge. We ordered the chicken tikka masala, lamb vindaloo, and dal made with black lentils (I can't remember the name but it's number 22). The food came out pretty quick and was full of flavor. We had plenty to bring home for leftovers which is awesome because Indian food gets better the longer the spices meld. I also ordered a chai and it tasted most like the chai I had while in Calcutta so I highly recommend trying it for an authentic experience :) can't wait to go back for more! read more

I am sorry to have to downgrade my original rating. It appears the restaurant is under new ownership. The old menus on the walls have been covered with paper, and the menus at the table have a different name (Punjabi Kitchen, I believe). The two of us waited OVER AN HOUR for our food tonight. We felt sorry for the waitresses; we heard them apologizing to other tables. The food was not the same. While we could see the naan being cooked (on the video), ours was cold when it came to the table. Our entrees were not the flavorful, moist butter chicken and tasty malai kofta we used to get. This is a small family owned restaurant with great service and food. I went there with my husband, mom, my two little daughters (4.5 years old and 2 year old), and had the Karahi Gosht Curry, Daal Maharani and Chicken Tikka Masala. All dishes came with freshly made naan and aromatic Jeera rice. Food was fresh and didnt have excessive oil like other restaurants do. Definitely will return here. Oh, and had samosa for appetizer, one vegetable (with mashed spiced potato filling) and one with Keema (minced beef), vegetable one tasted fresher. read more

Summary: food is okay, atmosphere is pretty crummy, price is way to expensive. Went to dinner with my wife and three kids. We all love Indian food and we're excited to see an option closer to home. My wife had a goat curry, she said it was fine. I had the butter chicken - didn't taste good at all. My son had the Tikka Masala - it was pretty good. My other two kids ordered the chicken 65 - it was pretty good. The service was fine, they were happy to go through the menu with my wife and prepare her a dairy free dish. All of the portion sizes were very small, which was fine except the average price per dish was $15 which is about twice what I would have expected to pay for the portion size. The atmosphere was pretty plain. One step up from folding table and chairs. I probably will not be back. read more

We ate at the restaurant version of R & R Curry Express in Springdale and really liked it so since this food truck is not far from our home in Fayetteville we tried it tonight. The Palak Paneer and Chicken Tikka Masala were both very good. The naan (flat bread) wasn't as good as in the Springdale restaurant but all in all this is a great place to eat. read more

So, this is by FAR the best north Indian restaurant in NWA. How do I know? I have lived in other countries and been taught to make north Indian food by my Indian friends. I'm telling you. I've also lived in many other places with top notch north Indian restaurants. I've tried Khana (twice), and the food was inedible. And there aren't any Indian Americans eating there. BIG CLUE. The north Indian places in Bentonville are just so so, but still far better than Khana. And as far as south Indian options, we have a ways to go in NWA. Please try R&R on sunset and also their new food truck at Mission & Crossover. And then you'll know what Indian food can be. read more
