Bottom line: this is a great mini dachshund breeder and my puppy I received from her is the most lovable, obedient, playful and fun puppy I could have imagined. When I first started searching for my long haired dachshund puppy, I almost got burned on a scam (seriously, who does that? Apparently there are a lot of scam breeders out there). I came out of that experience really nervous that I would get scammed again. When I found this breeder and she came to me with pictures of the exact coloring, age and sex of the puppy that I wanted, I honestly thought it was too good to be true and must also be a scam. But it wasn't! Katherine is really great, she answered all of my questions immediately via email and helped me through the process of a first time puppy mom. She does require a $100 deposit to be on her waiting list and then a $200 deposit once you pick your puppy (you pay the rest when you pick up the pup), but that is completely normal. She gave me updates on my puppy, a starter kit with puppy food and a blanket, other essentials, and the AKC papers. She even was willing to meet me halfway between where we live, which cut down on my drive! She also started my puppy potty training on pee pads which helped tremendously. I can't say enough good things about this breeder. Katherine was simply awesome and cares so much for her dogs. The one negative review on here gave me initial pause, but I wholly disagree with it. It's a shame that review is on here because my puppy and experience with Puppy Love Doxies are both perfect. My little pup is healthy, happy and so loving. This is a SCAM DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY ! I contacted this breeder October 1st to purchase a beautiful dacshund. Katherine was very nice in the beginning , sending us pictures and sending us descriptions of the puppy we were interested in which was Gracie. We discussed wanting to purchase Gracie and were told we would need to place a 300.00$ deposit in order to reserve her. We were also told that if in any event we did not want the puppy that we would be refunded the 300.00$ deposit in full. Long story short I was moving at the time we were suppose to receive Gracie and we realized that right now it would be too much to have a puppy. So we asked Katherine for a refund. Once we asked for a refund she told us we could just apply the 300$ to another dog when the time is right. We DID NOT want to do this because we didn't know how long it would be until we wanted a puppy. So we asked her for the full refund which she promised was possibly. After we asked she turned into a ghost and never ever contacted us back. I now have to go through legal obligations in order to have my money refunded. Let me remind you this women seemed very honest and trust worthy. I will be contacting the better business bureau about this company. Katherine is fantastic! Once we placed the deposit on our pup, she sent us pictures and videos every week or so to keep us updated. Upon arriving to to pick up our Penny, she gave us food, pee pads, and even a blanket with familiar pup smells for comfort. We received our AKC paperwork about two weeks later. We put a deposit down and Katherine was kind enough to keep our puppy for us an extra week so we could make arrangements to get him.
