I went from my past dentist, who I will keep unknown to you, to Evergreen Dental. Evergreen dental have phenomenal dentists and hygienists. They won't gouge your pockets, or neglect something that shouldn't be neglected. They are honest, trustworthy, funny, and they truly care about their clients. I've changed dentists a year ago and switched to Evergreen, I can tell you now, a year later, I made the right choice. Very nice atmosphere, TVs overhead and headphones. Not sure about the remote, can't remember that part lol. I wish you all the best at your visit or search for a new dentist and recommend Evergreen Dental as a 5 star dentist office.

I got a check up with Dr. Lucy and then returned for a cleaning with the hygienist. When you enter through the double doors you'll find the waiting area and the reception desk with the three admins. There's a tv in one section of the waiting room and one in each of the rooms that I've been in for work. They took special care to find out if I was comfortable or had any anxiety about visiting the dentist. There is lots of free parking given that it's located in a large strip mall and it's across the street from the Dartmouth bus terminal for those taking transit. If you're looking for a new dental clinic, I definitely recommend this one. To note though, you'll need to go in for a special new patient appointment before they'll do any work on your teeth, so don't wait for a cavity!

Anyway, I called the office and it was about 10AM here so about 1PM there I suppose; and the phone continued to ring and ring. I hung up, and later tried again. This time I let it ring for quite a while thinking perhaps an answering machine would kick in. Instead, the reception picked up the phone and without hearing a word from me, asked me to hold. No problem I said. So; I continued to wait for about 5 minutes, then suddenly the phone slammed down on my ear. I then called back and asked the receptionist why the phone was slammed down, and she said that she was busy. OKAY.....I said. I went on to mention the nature of my call, and she assured me that she would relay the message. I waited 3 days and no return of the message. I also sent emails. Still nothing. Sent them back an email in return stating that I"m glad I"m not a patient of theirs . That they can keep that type of practice is Dartmouth Nova Scotia where it belongs! Not nice people in my opinion.

After the COVID shutdown, I was surprised that they didn't reschedule my appointment when they re-opened. Later, when the crown on a very prominent front tooth broke off, I called for an emergency appointment and was told " nope...booking 3 months out...suggest you try another dentist". So I did, got an implant, a new, very modern practice and Penhorn lost all my future business.

I went to see them one…read moretime years ago I don't support dirty business...and they did work I did not request so they charged me for it of course and didn't do work that I requested to do so this became an issue of an overcharge eventually and it went through the credit card and of which I disputed it. A very sneaky reception at the time though she still may be there I wouldn't know I didn't go back...she had fabricated the situation that I had already explained to the credit card who had me on a three-way.. so once I explained in depth about how I tried to resolve it with the company and it just became hostile the credit card contacted them directly and on the three-way she was allowed to give her version of events where they didn't finish work I was booked for and just did the wrong thing that I was charged for of course I would know that until I was paying the bill and when the credit card customer service representative began to tell this receptionist at the Alderney Gate location that I'm on the line... She didn't even get a chance to get into finishing the sentence Ms McIntyre has a different version and went to explain it ... The staff member had actually attacked my character making it sound like I was wishy-washy ..anybody who knows me would never use this descriptor lol... it was actually quite amusing to be on a three-way and what people say about you when they're talking about you behind your back... she became extremely angry and vocal and escalated saying that the credit card people were devious by not letting them know that I had been on the phone call... facts don't change no matter who's in the conversation and only a certain group of people take exception to this type of tactic which I found most amusing....they hung up and my money was immediately refunded ..... be careful make sure you are very vocal about what you need... check your bill because they do things or charge you for things that never occurred or you didn't plan to occur.... So I'm glad the universe kept sending me this to do a review it's overdue

As you manly have seen from my previous review, I sung praises for Zwicker Dental…read more Here I am to do so again, my dad has had issues with his teeth in years and having had mine pulled and not experiencing debilitating pain has been wonderful for me, so I can only imagine how he feels now finally not having to deal with it any longer. Plenty of businesses miss out on that connection with their customers, seeing them as walking wallets, its not often a business genuinely cares and for that I cannot praise them enough.

I see Dr. Russell MacSween, and he is so great at putting me at ease. He is also so gentle you can hardly even tell he's checking your teeth. Even the hygienists I have seen have been very friendly and great to deal with. I would definitely recommend Dr. MacSween to anyone who is looking for a new dentist in the Halifax area.

"Unbelievable" orthodontic consultant…read more I have already visited seven orthodontic clinic and this is the only one that neither do any professional check(e.g. x-ray, photo) nor free. All I did here is an assistant introduced me invisalign and braces, and then a doc came and did some simple check. Then the doc said: yes we could do it. Done. No advice, no plan. I even hesitate can they really do orthodontic treatment. The most surprised me part is it charge me without any informing. I have done this consultant in seven clinic and none of them charged me(while that maybe not usual), one of them informed me before I booked the appointment(so that I could decide if I would go). For general dentist request, I don't know. But for orthodontic, definitely not.

Jillian Reynolds team is so great. I find it very embarrassing to say that I do get nervous when going to the dentist however for people who are similar to me it's very important to know that this is a great place to look at. I was asked about trying nitro (laughing gas) as an option. And I did. All I will say to you is TRY IT!!! It made my visit so easy. They explain how the procedure goes and how fast it would be. The staff are Obviously very happy working there and that makes a big difference in your visit. Seriously 5 Stars for this place.
