This is a true and thoughtful review of MY OWN experience with this practice on the weight-loss…read moreside and the urgent care side for 3+ years. I just requested a copy of all of my records because we are moving at the end of the year. I gave advance notice of several weeks for their convenience. The records I received were not comprehensive. It was copies of lab work not what I asked for since we're moving out of state. So, I did not remotely receive what I asked for weeks ago. Additionally, and in past years, we paid out-of-pocket multiple times... most of the time the insurance was never filed, and we had met our out-of-pocket, and we never received the overpayment of several hundred dollars that we were due. I finally stopped asking for the refund of at least $150 for IVs I'd had to have due to dehydration. Additionally, the office is understaffed and overworked in my opinion. I believe deep down Dr Williams ultimate goal is at least halfway an "honorable" one maybe, or in the beginning. I regret sending so many patients to him initially. I can tell you that the regular staff at the front office is typically in a poor mood. When I went to get my paperwork the other day and introduced myself and told them I was there to get paperwork. They looked at me like I was on crack. I got a look like I was speaking a language they didn't know. I repeated myself again. They eventually told me it must be on the urgent care side. Their faces were not friendly or welcoming. Quite the opposite. Interestingly enough, a year ago I was told (or close to that) Dr Williams "wasn't doing urgent care anymore. He was only doing weight loss." Based off how I have experienced how I have been treated by his staff and ultimately him, it's my belief I was 100% intentionally misled so that I would no longer be a patient. I had two incidents in two years of a very difficult bacteria to treat that came from a Third World country. One of those years I had to go Several times over a one month period (maybe 3 times) because the antibiotic wasn't working. Dr Williams told me that because I needed his service is so much I might need to start paying for concierge services. That combined with the unwelcoming looks and tone I got from his office repeatedly over the years made me not want to ever go back into the office. I used an urgent care because "he no longer did primary care." He ultimately and his Staff made me do my best to stay away from his practice, unless I absolutely needed it, and by that I mean, the bioidentical hormones that he was calling in to a pharmacy in Cullman for me. I picked up my paperwork the other day so that I would have time before we move to get them...we are moving over the holidays so trying to find another doctor is not going to be immediate. I needed the testosterone cream refilled because I picked up my records that day from his office. He refused to refill even this last one month of my testosterone, which was due weeks ago to be filled. I wasn't asking for a drug for Gods sake. I called his office and told them there was no way that I could possibly find a doctor between now and January over the holidays...They could refill my prescription and that that was ridiculous they were refusing. Four days later and he's refused to call anything in has refused to call me and discuss it and he directly told the pharmacy that "he would handle it himself." I'm still awaiting him to "handle it himself." If you were looking for someone who feigns that he is into holistic care and is a "good person", but still will pump Very dangerous weight loss drugs into you via injection and everything else - go for it. You can lose and still eat garbage and still not exercise, but you're still risking all the side effects of these extremely dangerous drugs. I've had them prescribed for me before from his office and I experienced bad side effects and got off If you're looking for a practice, that truly is pleasant. Keep looking.

There was no phone number to call. I somehow managed to contact them via email. I received a message saying they have no idea what happened without providing any explanation or refunding the charge. I was only inquiring and trying to understand because I had never been charged this fee. Instead, the office manager, who assumed that as a minority, I was broke. She lacked the empathy to have a decent and professional conversation with me. I will never pay the $15, and I have no plans of ever returning to that office. The reason for the two stars is completely the receptionist. There was a time that I was in a great deal of pain and needed surgery. The authorization was taking a while and the surgery was about to be delayed. I was called rude and hung up on, and since then and to this day I no longer get greeted when I come in. Also needed a medication refill the other day and they were very content with telling me about their policy to not refill on the weekend even though it was an emergency. I did call back after I was rushed off the phone and spoke to a gentleman that was nice and helped me. Update**I just left Curewell because I couldn't take it any longer. I went in to pick up a form and it happened to be over their lunch period. I didn't mean to interrupt their lunch but that doesn't excuse the attitude they gave me. The form was literally right beside the receptionist but she made me wait until her lunch was over to get it. It too her about ten seconds to give it to me. That sums up their caliber of service. If I didn't have to get my medical records I'd never want to see that building ever again!
