Content might be Christian based but the company is extremely dishonest and deceitful. I have a very hard time figuring out what to watch etc as I am not familiar with most of the programs and PureFlix provides very little detail in the description. I had decided not to renew but they have disabled unchecking auto renew. I have tried contacting by phone, text and chat bot to no avail. I have also been unable to cancel on the web. On the phone, it's grayed out and not even an option on my computer. Suddenly, today, after they STOLE my money, I was able to cancel but it won't cancel for another year. I still cannot uncheck auto renew. I have been sick and hadn't attempted again for a while but today I got an email that my subscription had been successfully renewed. I never got anything saying it was due to be renewed and on top of that, they stole my money a week before it was actually due to be renewed. I spent nearly 2 hours trying to contact them to no avail. Bot wait time for an agent is 93 minutes, phone was "very long wait times due to high volume", they never bothered responding to the texts, there is no email address provided. They say submit a ticket but there is no way to do that. All I can say, is I'm probably out nearly $100 from a supposedly Christian company that wants nothing but money and provides zero customer service. I have opened a dispute with my bank but I'm sure they will say it's all my fault. Hopefully, although it won't help me, my review might make another sucker think twice. If you look at other bad reviews, they all say how impossible it is to reach the company. One final caveat...there are series that you start watching but all of a sudden they now require an upgrade to "Premium" to continue watching. This is just plain wrong. Beware. I signed up for it, never watched, renewal time came around and I was not notified. They took a big fat wad of money from my credit card. I had to work at getting a refund and I believe I was successful. I asked them why they do not notify customers when the renewal time is near. Here's their reply: "While we are working on adding reminder emails before renewals, we do mention the auto-renewal during sign-up and in your account settings. This is the worse Tv service that you can get. I've been calling for the last3 years to cancel my subscriptions and they keep charging me agin and again. Every year I need to call and they tell me the same thing over and over. I never get my refunds back and they always win the battle. I have generally enjoyed the faith-based content of Pure Flix. However, I can't say that this is a Christian organization at all. There is a series called Crossroads. They put out several episodes and then suddenly required an upgrade to premium to see the rest. That is dishonest. They care nothing about their customers or spreading anything to do with Christian behavior and ethics. When I tried to chat with them, they wanted $5 to do it. I have cancelled my membership. There are too many streaming options to stay with a company that is dishonest. I suggest you move on to other options also. read more

I did not authorize renewals automatically, I saw the charge the next day and cancelled it. They will not cancel it nor work with you. The price is higher too. You can not put the app on your smart TV to watch, it is archaic to have to plug your computer into your TV. Plus not many new shows to watch. Beware, this is not set up to help you when they charge you for a year without your permission. They are short staffed, I am sure and are trying to rake in the bucks anyway! So sad:-( called within 20 days to cancel a yr subscription we didn't know was even in effect and were told that they could only cancell the subscription at the end of the subscription period ~~ a year from now. They wouldn't change us to a monthly subscription and cancel at the end of the month. Totally disappointed. Be careful if you sign up for free trial ~ make sure you diary when to cancel because if you don't , you're under contract according to the type of subscription you asked for. I would contact my VISA to dispute, but they would cancel my card and issue a new one which would cause more problem than the loss of $74.68. Ugh..... Again, so sad :-( read more

Some of the titles I clicked on to watch said cannot stream. There is a lot of freezing of the picture while the audio continues, and then it jumps forward in the film. I've read a lot of people have problems with the ethics of this company and not allowing them to cancel, or they have to fight to get a refund. I was really looking forward to some wholesome shows. I love Pure Flix and I have had no problems with billing or anything else. I love their content and variety. I've had it for almost a year. I gladly pay for clean content that can't be found anywhere else. If I watch a movie and end it early, it picks up right where I left off when starting it again later. I signed up for there free trial for $7.99 a month instead they charged me $69.99 for a year. I have sent them 20 emails and there response won't even mention a refund or dollar amount They are generic responses by AI or a bot In addition I loaded the app on Chromcast and could not get it to work which is why I cancelled. I've had it for a few years now and enjoy the content. Also, I am able to easily find viewable content when their are children in the home and you are concerned about what they are watching. You can find something on Pure Flix and not have to worry whether or not it will be appropriate. read more

I signed up for Pureflex last year. I never used the app and forgot all about it. This week I was checking my website to find a $90 debit from my account. The strange thing is i changed my debit charge in May. I called them to ask how they hit my account for this years annual charge. She tells me she can't find my email address on their system. I explained to her, I logged in to their system using my email address. She then said, I cant find your email address then asked me if I have another email address. The lady was very deceitful. I told her again; I logged in to your site using my email address so I know this is the email you used. I told her I just want my refund to my bank account. She then says, well I need your banking info. She said in order to receive a refund you will need to give me your entire banking information as well as a 2nd credit card. I told her, you keep asking for more of my personal information. I'm telling you, my bank is showing you withdrew $90 yesterday. To withdraw the money you had to have my banking information and I am not going to give you my other emails and credit cards so you can take money out of those accounts. read more

BEWARE! This the worst company I have ever done business with. They are dishonest, deceptive and manipulative. Their streaming movie service is horrible. They stole $74.43 for services I didn't use. They refused to refund. They offer FREE TRIALS that are designed to steal from everyone because they have HIDDEN terms and policies you are not allowed to see until they have your charge card number. One policy is "NO REFUNDS EVER". So don't expect to see any of your money again. If you file a dispute with your charge company Pure Flix lies and says they have contacted you and settled. You have to keep filing disputes. You will get nothing from this company but aggravation. New callers are blocked by looping answering and hang-up. You will never be able to reach anyone until after your trial period is over and you are charged - often repeatedly. I had to eliminate the charge card, which you can not remove from their site to stop the theft. They have been allowed to operate like this for many years and no complaints bring an end to their corruption. It's inexcusable!
