Hello, I started at PFT back in 2013 with Coach Carl who provided a positive and supportive atmosphere for all members. Unfortunately, Coach Carl moved to Texas. The current Coach, Tara, and her assistant, Veronica, has provided an unprofessional and uncomfortable environment which is very disappointing as that completely goes against what PFT is supposed to represent. There is a lack of respect and support for members when a concern is brought up. As members, we should feel comfortable to express any concerns without the fear of being judged and minimized. Sadly, they're unapproachable and they don't know how to manage concerns in a professional manner. They take things personal and make assumptions that are false. It's already difficult as it is to find a gym where we feel supported. Tara often promotes on PFT's social media as well as her website that all families are welcomed and that she cares about the family dynamic. Although she presents this image to the public, it is definitely not the case. Tara does not know how to manage her anger and becomes very defensive immediately if things don't go her way. She has been very disrespectful and made uncalled comments when I told her that I wanted to leave. I was put on the spot when I didn't need to give any reasoning as to why I was leaving. She was upset and wouldn't let things go. Tara's lack of professionalism and customer service was very apparent. This never happened with Coach Carl. Honestly, I would only return to PFT if Coach Carl came back as sole owner. He would never allow this behavior to happen nor partake in it especially as an owner and Coach. My health and overall well-being is my number one priority and that is why I decided to leave this toxic environment. read more

Hi there, I wanted to share an uncomfortable experience I had as a member at Pure Form Training (PFT). I was treated poorly for bringing up a concern as I caught Veronica, one of our two coaches, giving advantages to members in a challenge we had. I soon was ignored and mugged everytime I came into class since I spoke to Veronica about my concern. Although I had photo proof, she did not follow through with resolving the problem nor took any accountability so I told Veronica we should just let things be as there was no work on her end being done to address the concern. Weeks later, I got a message from the head coach and owner of PFT, Tara, letting me know I could only speak to her. I got this through text message which took me time to process things as I attended Tara's morning class a few hours prior to receiving her text. She had the opportunity to speak to me in person and she didn't. Not once did Tara showed that anything was wrong in those weeks and when I spoke to her in person that morning in class. I took the time to explain to Tara thoroughly the concern I brought up to Veronica. I told Tara that I brought the concern up to Veronica as she was the coach working that day and it was regarding her. Tara proceeded by saying she would have done the same thing as Veronica by giving unfair advantages to other members. I got this dropped on me 2 days before Christmas although Tara knew about my concerns weeks prior. I told Tara that I could not continue being a member and that I wanted a refund. Tara sent me a long message with unsolicited advice. She did not respect the boundaries I was setting. Tara told me she would refund me, but that never happened until I followed up with her a week in a half later. She said she refunded me which she didn't. She finally refunded me and sent me a long message with very rude comments made towards me and telling me she doesn't do refunds because it's against her refund policy along with letting me know she had a business to run. There is a transparency problem as this policy that she speaks about was never made aware physically in the gym, on her website, social media, nor verbally. It wasn't until a week after I first asked for a refund that she created a no refund policy and shared it on her PFT instagram page along with raising her prices. I don't stand for any bully behavior, verbal abuse and disrespect. There is a lack of professionalism along with very poor work ethics and special treatments given to members that did not do the work. Each workout we do can be a lot on your body as the workouts are rigorous. Giving unfair advantages is very disrespectful for those members that actually did put in the time and did the work. I don't see no plausible reason as to why someone should be treated poorly for speaking up about a concern. I share this as I would not want anyone else to go through the same treatment nor experiences that I went through. Everyone should be able to work out in a safe and supportive environment. read more

Carl at Pure Form is great. I signed my mother up for some one on one sessions to try and get her out of a funk, partially from the isolation resulting from COVID. Carl made the process super easy and really took care of everything including my mom. Prices are very reasonable and it's really nice to see the owner so involved with every aspect of the business. My mother just finished her first 12 sessions and she looks and feels better, she seems really upbeat and thinks she's ready to go off on her own. I would love for her to continue one-on-one training at Pure Form or to get involved with the small group sessions, but for now at least, we're going to get her back into her regular gym and see where things go from there. read more

I really love this gym! It's small group classes offered at a variety of times, and the music is always on point. The trainers really take their time to make sure everyone is doing their best and keeping good form, as well as encouraging us not to give up! The workouts are hard but not impossible, and they last 45mins! I've been consistent only a few weeks but I feel myself getting stronger and better each day! I go to the noon class, and everyone has been friendly. I love Pure Form so much more than the "CrossFit" concept which I dreaded. Now, I look forward to going to the gym! So I normally like the 1:1 instruction so I was unsure how this group training would go but i have to say I loved it. I started with the 28 day accountability challenge with coach Carl and it was the best coaching. Using the app and having to submit pictures of my food daily keep me accountable to myself and coach Carl. i knew that if I was falling off I could be honest with him when I messaged and checked in daily. I've stuck with the accountability. So the classes are the best and give you a great workout. I've taken bootcamp classes before but what I like about PFT is that you warm up and stretch out at the end. So important and for me coming off a back injury I could appreciate this. During my first workout Coach Carl remembered my back issue and gave me a tip to adjust that would put less strain on my back. Coach Tara is awesome And so is coach Jana. She watches and corrects form. Trust me when I say you want a coach that will do this so you don't end up hurt. And this isn't about just getting through the workout, it's about form and fitness. You just feel really good working out with others who are cheering you on and saying, "good job" at the end. Needless to say after 28 days, I signed up to continue. If you are looking for a great place to burn calories, feel supported, and be challenged, this is the place for you. Just try it and you can decide for yourself. read more

Pure Form Fitness Training is a great place for anyone of all skill levels. At first I was a bit skeptical when I first signed up for the group classes and walked in on the first day. Looking around at the other members in my group (not meaning to sound conceited) but I thought the workout was going to be a breeze. Boy was I wrong. It was one of the most intense workouts I've had; and at the end of the first session, I was lying on the sidewalk out side the gym for at least 15 minutes before I event felt comfortable to attempt to drive home. Now, don't be intimidated by my experience. The neat thing about the workout is you put as much into it as you want. You determine how hard you want to push yourself. As un-intuitive as it seems, this is a "one-size-fits-all" workout that really works for EVERYONE. Trust me. The only down-side of this training center is the hours. The hours were very limited and I wasn't sure how often I would be able to make it with my busy and varied schedule as a grad student. However, coming in January, I heard Carl ("THE" trainer) is going to be increasing the hours! Finally, Carl "THE" trainer is great. He is very encouraging and knowledgeable. He even sends out occasional emails with tips and reminders on eating healthy and other fitness tips. I really look forward to those emails as well and forward them to several of my friends! This is more than a gym, it's a positive, motivating, family oriented environment. I've been to several gyms and have not experienced the level of motivation that you get from PFT trainers . They push you to do your very best each time which makes you wanting to come back for more. I have lost 12 lbs since joining and know that without the support I would not have been that successful. The workouts vary from day to day and month to month with the use of resistive equipment and/or body weight. The environment is clean and the equipment is comfortable. I can't think of any other place I'd rather be to met my fitness and overall health goals!! read more

Great small gym with a personal trainer guiding you through the 45 minute workout. They will make you sweat. Price is reasonable. Trainers seem to know what they are doing. Unfortunately I wont be in town to experience the full workout routine, but the small amount of time I have been here is enough to say that it is worth going here. Give this place a try! read more

I came here just to try this out and it's amazing. The trainers and everyone around are very motivating and they will give you encouragement as well as tell you how to adjust to have better form. I never felt insecure being here. I usually do Pilates or HIIT at home, but this was a shock to my system. Highly recommend and I hope to be back soon! read more

I will be starting the following week but this review is based solely on management. I've called and left messages for not only Carl but to Ryan as well regarding how to signup. I even went out of my way to contact Ryan on his PFT Instagram and yet no response. It's been almost two weeks and I'm curious as to how this is getting overlooked. Thank goodness for today, I was able to spot Carl at some type of event he was holding and he questioned whether I even left a message and later saw the voicemail I left for him and apologized for the mishap. I'm hoping they are able to accommodate me for the next 6 weeks over this issue. The only reason I am still signing up are based on the reviews of the last clienteles: people are getting stronger and learning proper form. And to be frank, I believe customer service is a huge part of any business' review. As upset as I am to dock a couple of stars down, I believe everything I am speaking about is very credible and worth a mention: it wasn't fair for me to get overlooked that many times by two different people and two different forms of communication for almost two weeks. Coming from one entering into the stage of life known by many as the "declining years" and also from one who despises the whole notion of exercise in its various physical forms, I called CARL THE TRAINER kicking and screaming after several of my professional colleagues kept at me to do so. I have long been the sort who would workout only when there was nothing else to do and only when I could make it fit into my life regimen. Carl has changed all that with great attitude, superb advice, excellent background in fitness and all-around support. I hate having to occasionally miss our sessions, be they private or semi-private or any of his classes, simply because I feel so much better after every encounter with this monstrous beast. Love Carl!!! He is the best trainer I have ever had. He is a great motivator and will tell you what you are doing wrong. He is very knowledgable and is willing to answer any and all of your questions. He does cardio and core on Tuesday and Thursday, and he does Iso- Wednesday. He is also opening some other training locations soon. Every day is a different work out which is great!! He is by far the only way I can lose weight and get that muscle definition I have been wanting!! read more

PFT rocks!!! The workouts are effective and only 45 minutes. The interval training is great with everyone doing the same thing at the same time. The trainers are knowledgable and motivating. They have nutrition meetings and really care about you reaching your fitness goals. 6 months at PFT and I went from okay shape to the best shape of my life! My dad, sister and most recently my mom have joined the PFT club as well... the system really is great for people of all ages and fitness levels. read more

Great work out and tre rocks. She pushes you but not in a way where you don't want to go back. She's a motivator and I adore her! I have been training with Carl at Pure Form PFT since March of 2011. My first work out I couldn't do planks and had never even heard of a burpee. One year later I've lost 32 lbs and gone from a size 18 to a size 12. Of course I also had to adopt a healthier lifestyle and modify my eating habits. Carl was able to provide me with different food options to help me achieve my goals and fit my busy lifestyle. The work outs are challenging and always interesting.
